Sure we should try that again?
It worked a few times, so maybe it's time for something new.
Objectively, it shouldn't be known to any given enemy what we tried and what we didn't.

Sure, Baleful Polymorph and SoD are well-known benchmarks.

But we haven't used the Sacramental Seal, or Amber Prison in any case where people gotten to tell anyone else about the spells we used afterwards.

Then again, "Viserys has busted out so many spells from different schools of magic maybe it's best to just assume he can do anything" ain't a bad way to start overpreparing.

Blank "this school of magic/type of effect can't affect me, period" would make a bit more sense, yes.

Unlike that super-specific Spell Immunity we got to see some time ago that blocked literally every capture spell we had.
Even those we haven't been public about using.

But the counter of that, is that well get ourselves the same bullshit.
The moment we know something lile that is possible, we'll stack up on sacrifices for Yss and have merry time fucking around most powerful entities we are otherwise scared to fick with.
Like the dragon in the orb.
Or Mammon 2.0
Etc.

Problem is even maxed out Spellbane covers only 4 spells.
I mean, you could push a high-level Abjurer to 5, but that's it.

The amount of spells you can be truly immune to is limited.
Most spells are covered by broader immunities, like Deathward and Freedom of Movement and especially Mindblank shutting out entire categories, but that unfortunatly still leaves enough high-end save-or-dies that it's basically impossible to prepare for all.

@Goldfish

If the intention is to gank the Wraith and stop any effect it may be having then Ray of Ending may work out, it also targets the weakest save.

This ending is so final that all spell effects currently in effect from non-permanent spells cast by the victim are instantly and automatically dispelled.

That's beautiful.

Unfortunately, for our purposes right now it isn't quite what we need. The resulting smoke cloud could hide the Herald from sight for too long.
