[X] Karag Lhune secondary peak

[X] This is Dawongr Weber's money. The funds will largely go projects within the Karaz Ankor - your tower for one, but also investing in the Undumgi or Ulrikadrin, or purchasing goods made by Dwarven artisans or sold in the markets of Barak Varr.

[X] There's a growing concentration of royalty here. Get to know King Kazador, and this 'Sky-Thane' Prince Gotri.
[X] Convince Esbern and Seija to stay long enough to deal with the spiders in the Chiselwards.
[X] Claim the site where Ranald mugged Mork and build a shrine to Ranald there.
[X] Convince Esbern and Seija to stay long enough to hatch the supposedly Lustrian eggs and study and possibly train whatever hatches.

We know Belegar got a lot to think about.

None the least of what the other dwarvenlords would think and will this won him some rep to earn him some credit and rep.
He got a few dozen chopers out of the debacle. And one do not entrust a prince on a losing foothold.
Now if he can only use those choppers as a special forces insertion vehicle.. it would be golden.

In theory.. if i remember my calculus, pressing the button reduce your number by 1% yes , but it would also would never be zero.
Depends on how it rounds.

[X] The Grand Abyss

We are going to do some seriously dangerous shit at some point. I'd rather it not be noticed until we explode the mountain, at which point it won't matter because we would be dead.

We are going to stay here anyway.

Getting to know the one that manages the air corps is pretty important for having access to air transportation in the future.

[X] Claim the site where Ranald mugged Mork and build a shrine to Ranald there.

Let's finish this as Ranald deserves

[X] Convince Esbern and Seija to stay long enough to hatch the supposedly Lustrian eggs and study and possibly train whatever hatches.

I really want to know what those things are

I'm still not seeing any real reason for why claiming a tempel site is a critically urgent priority compared to things that actually do need to be done now?

Moving forward, I want a secret and secure site that is not our public living quarters to use for storage and experimentation, a la the Sunken Palace in Stirland.

Having that defined at the same time as our quarters, and before anything involving them takes place, is important to me.

What's this learning rune?

It's the idea @Alratan is pushing. Older editions of the tabletop had Rune of Brotherhood that allowed a hero to join Rangers or Miners and use their special deployment rules (first are Scouts, second have Underground Advance). The rune was fluffed as allowing the Hero to rapidly absorb their comrades' expertise. @Alratan wants a modification of the rune that would allow Mathilde to absorb knowledge in the same way.

@Alratan, please correct me if I misrepresented your position.

[X] The Grand Abyss

I'm not really sure what's winning, but I'm probably fine with it.

However, I cannot help but meme vote for Rat-Moria. We will be the terror in the deep.

That's not the shrine, then; as a holy place, we'd be encouraging pilgrims (gambling pilgrims, too).

You might want to swap over the spiders here. It's got a much better chance of winning and amber wizards have a chance of being knocked out entirely by spending time with the Sky-Thane which will prevent us from doing anything with the eggs.

Currently Belegar is giving us access to his vault. (King Belegar is allowing you to use the King's Armoury.) Not very secret but it is very secure. Good for the storage part of your desire at least.

After some time to contemplate, I have made my choices.

We will be here for a while, might as well put the money to use here.

[X] Citadel Tower
I like the idea of being on the front. Even if we are not an active part of the reclamation, we might still be part of the defence.

[X] Write a series of papers on the magical phenomena you witnessed. Or better yet, get your Journeymanlings to do the actual writing.
Since we decided making study part of our responsibilities, let's get started.

[X] Convince Esbern and Seija to stay long enough to hatch the supposedly Lustrian eggs and study and possibly train whatever hatches.
Well we have them, let's see what they are.

[X] Claim the site where Ranald mugged Mork and build a shrine to Ranald there.
Also curious to see where this might lead Ranald worship.

[X] Karag Nar penthouse
The first possibility that leaps to mind is the uppermost dwelling of Karag Nar, with a beautiful 360-degree view and a commanding position. The Black Orc Warboss' reasons for taking it for his own are obvious, and though it will take some time and effort to clear out the possessions that hadn't been safely stowed in the King's Armoury, it is bursting with potential and would allow you to keep a careful eye on the Undumgi and Death Pass.

This suggests a future assisting Karak Eight Peaks with its reconquest, as a Spymaster focused on threats within the Karak.

[X] Claim the site where Ranald mugged Mork and build a shrine to Ranald there.
This suggests a future assisting Karak Eight Peaks, as leader of the Undumgi and point of contact for the Ulricans.

[X] Write a series of papers on the magical phenomena you witnessed. Or better yet, get your Journeymanlings to do the actual writing.
This suggests a future of investigation and study at Karak Eight Peaks, and perhaps helping Johann poke at Skaven technology.

The Ranald shrine isn't as important in that it isn't required immediately. No one is going near that temple, we have time to get it o nether mext update.

Right now, we need to do more time sensitive things like getting to know the royals while they're still new to the place and not seem like we're avoiding them, or convince the Ambers to stay longer.

Also, I don't think our Ambers will be as keen to stay for a personal request (eggs) as one to help the thousands of people here.

What's this learning rune?

The Rune of Brotherhood, it allows a dwarf to quikcly learn skills from their comrades. I think BoneyM confirmed that it was potentially possible to be forged in such a way that it would apply to humans. Given what Kragg could so with the belt, it seems worth a shot.

Hekarti: black magic.
Hoeth: knowledge and sorcery in general;
Vaul: artifice, including enchanting

I don't like the idea of learning rune for Mathilde because I'm afraid it'll make learning, something I have been utterly satisfied with in this quest, trivial.

As is appropriate for a dwarven item, it doesn't make original research easier, just learning from those who've come before. We can also just move on to harder intellectual challenges, just like becoming better at comnat means that Mathilde just plays a bigger game there.

[X] Scout the rest of the Eight Peaks, to find out what other horrors are waiting out there.

This suggests a future catching up on your pre-existing study topics.

My problem with the money is that I would like to invest some of it as Dame Weber's, but certainly not all of it.

[X] This is tomorrow's problem. Let the money sit in the King's Armoury for now. Once you've decided what your future will be, then you can decide what to do with the money.

Do we have a WoG on whether and how would such a modified Rune function?

Also, I don't think our Ambers will be as keen to stay for a personal request (eggs) as one to help the thousands of people here.

Maybe, but we want to finally deal with the eggs. I do not want more pets than a Familiar, so it's best to figure out what those eggs are and then either send the animals off with Ambers or give them to idk local halfling or donate to Imperial Zoo.
