I've actually been giving considerable idle thought to this since we got the coin. The ability to embody the Protector and assure people of your honest good intent via slaughtering greenskins seems like it might do wonders for the purpose of persuading the people that some modicum of loyalty could actually mean something this time. It's one of my potential destinations after 8 peaks.
I'd be for it, if for no other reason than it's possibly the largest vampire next outside Sylvania. If Sonnental is canon for this Quest...

I hope Belegar's future success and consequent changes in the wider world that will hopefully ensue, manages to convince them that there is something more than a glorious Doom available to the Dwarf race.
"Just" taking entire K8P probably going to be enough. If not that, K8P and Black Krag.

So did I. Not too much, and not in terms of direct Empire Building, but with K8P retaken and Badlands being vastly safer because of it, Border Princes are bound to crawl out of their "total shithole' status step by step.

One way or another, for benefits of Empire and K8P we must ensure that whoever ends up dominating the region is a sane individual willing to cooperate with major good-aligned forces of the region.

...Better ask Anton if he would like to run a country.

Mmmhmm. I entertained the thought too a little. I don't think we should try anything with it right now, but doing Things in the Border Princes to link it with the Empire and K8P is definitely viable in the future arcs of the quest after we sort out our current Things with K8P Research.

that moment when you actually start shipping Mathilde/Belegar
Friendshipping is best shipping.
It's hard to hear brooding silence over the sound of a flying gyrocopter, but somehow King Belegar manages it as the whirling rotors take the bizarre vehicle into the sky. You have to nudge him to get his attention, and he perks up as he sees behind you that every other hangar gate is rising, and as your gyrobomber starts to make the trip back to Karak Eight Peaks, dozens more fly in formation around you.
Mathilde cheering up sad Belebro was a small but pleasant thing to see.

So with 55 reputation, where 15 assigned Mathilde as "The third most respected manling in the Empire to the dwarves" for anyone who'd heard of her deeds, does this catapult her to number one?
Yep, Boney answered this. Only folks who beat her out are the folks in Tobaro, a city in Tliea who the dwarves really like.

@BoneyM did you include any rep increases from the actions of our journeymanlings? They all seem to have done very well for themselves and as thier commander, thier success might reflect on us as well.

EDIT: Also, what's her halfling rep? Don't nessacerily need a number, just trying to get an idea of how they see us.

In the empire, seemingly yes. Boney WoG'ed that some people in Tobaro, Estalia could have as much or more due to the loooong history of murdering skaven and co-existing together with Dwarfs.

There's certainly a lot of social and geopolitical reasons for him not to go for it, but Mathilde could make the attempt if she's so inclined.
Wait. Wait a minute. Can we have some word of QM on this? Like, do Human /dwarf relationships even happen, for one? And how do they work, for another? Do they adopt? Or is that not a problem with a weeding blessed by the Gods, if such a thing is possible?

Because this thing start throwing impossibilities up. Like the kid of a dwarven king and a manling wizard being a dwarven wizard. And one of those might be able to rival the fucking elves. Or just break dwarven minds just by existing.

I'm not so sure about the Karag Nar penthouse, since while it does give us an amazing view, vision goes both ways. The entirety of the grand stairway of Karag Nar will have eyes on our door, and everywhere we can see through the windows can also look in towards us.

For a grey magister looking for a place to catch up on her pending research, some privacy might be nice.

Little imgur album about my experience on mountains. Something I'll add here is we could just use blinds or some one way Ulgu enchantment, if you're still worried.

I don't think it'd rival an elven magician, given that Dwarves are naturally rather resistant. But the last one might be valuable if that natural 1 became a thing and the Grudgebearer invented dwarven excommunication there on the spot, as a long term war asset. Just roll the kid out in front of whatever Throng you want to immediately go catatonic from horror.

[X] This is Magister Weber's money. Make no attempt to push the funds through any of the available loopholes and spend it all in plain sight of the College. You would be beholden to spend it on ways at least nominally good for the Empire, and soon.

You got increased reputation for the Expedition as a whole for joining as their Commander and them putting in a solid performance. You've yet to perform anything directly in service to the Halflings, so it's not really measured at this point. But they are impressed by and a little scared of her.

It's not in any way common but if any two species capable of love coexist for more than, hell, a few months it'll start to happen. Children aren't possible, though.

Money gained in K8P and from the Undumgi/Ulrikadrin, so best spent on them as well. Taking out those many crowns and spending it elsewhere is a bit low. And we can still get some trade with Stirland, maybe.

[X] Karag Nar temple
Replicating not-a-tower like Sunken Palace, and partial shrine to Ranald... Probably not the bar/gambling hall aspects of the shrine though.

[X] You're going to have a rough time explaining your windfall to the Bursars. Better to get that over with.
[X] You've been out of touch for a while. Head to Barak Varr and then Altdorf, and catch up with what's been happening in the Empire.

Why not just give the eggs for the Amber College? Too busy.
