@Goldfish, then how about spending one level 9 slot on End of Strife to put them all unconscious, and then do the AMF + snapping thing in Dragon form while we drive the ships away from the storm?

Viserys immediately uses a Wild Arcana'd Scribe's Binding spell to secure the Soul Trapped Efreeti mage, then stores it in his cloak.
Turning him into a book still doesn't actually make him any less likely to be stolen(rescued?). If your going to burn a miracle on it, I implore you to at least do so for the stated reason

End of Strife has a radius of just 80 feet, IIRC. That isn't even close to large enough. It would also require use of Wild Arcana rather than Miracle.

Gonna remove that from the plan for now.

Oh come on. Who cares about the radius? It has a duration, and we have a Fly speed. We can just activate it and fly around. They'll attack us, do little to no damage, and instantly fall unconscious as they eat 20d6 to the face.
Then we stack them together, cast AMF, and snap their collars.

We should get a dedicated slave freeing thing from the weeping goddess. All of our enemies use slaves with varying levels of magical compulsion and indoctrination.

Imagine whipping out a huge gong and just freeing everyone all at once. The chaos alone would be worth it. To say nothing of saved time/spells.

We should give it to Daenerys, and name it "Astapor".
That was an amazing scene in the books and in the series, honestly. And I'm not just saying that because I like the thought of the slaves shanking the slavers in dark alleys!

A two minute duration at 20th caster level. It would need to be cast on basically every ship and we wouldn't be certain to get even close to freeing all of them. We're on a timer, dude.

I like this plan a lot. We should ask next turn for something like this. Maybe she might oblige us there.

Thinking like a Tripurasura, it probably knows it won't get to keep the body as a reward for failure, and going back and pretend its the apprentice will only get it horribly tortured, so it's best chance it's either to run or to to try and complete the mission or something equally valuable to trade for his safety.

My guess? It has feather fall at will, so it let itself drop like a stone and then hid among the rocks and crevices of Valyria.

It could only teleport to places it knows right? So either back to the City of Brass, Hell or somewhere back on the route the fleet took, since it likely was created by it's master specifically for this mission.
It's best chance it's then not to go back, but to move forward.

I don't want to lose that body. The slaves can all die in the storm for all I care.

I already voted for Goldfish, he just informs our army to be on the lookout, which is more efficient than do it ourselves.
After we clear the slaves, I say we should summon something with scent and see if it can track it.

I would greatly prefer you simply murder the slaves, rather than leave dozens of creatures of questionable loyalty to the brazen throne alone in Valyria. Ash storm or no Ash storm.
They are unlikely to hold any loyalty to the Brasshole. They know how the efreeti treat property, failures, and traitors; by virtue of not dying to stop us they are all three. If anything this is a fantastic opportunity to get living loot; minions are the best investment because they work to generate more value for you.

All we have to do is pay them reasonably and treat them like people with rights and we practically have their eternal loyalty. If we put in more than the minimum to freeing slaves we get things like the legion out of it.

We have a lot of fire aligned outsiders here that could be fantastic workers and propaganda devices. Plus, once we have that next our tenth mythic rank and start binding outsiders to us, we'll have a core of loyal people to take it up beyond the more costly furies.

Edit: crossed out/replaced the incorrect part.

Did we finish the "Weaving Deepest Veils" project?
We haven't had a report on it this month. And with us taking Lya off it for this trip, we likely won't.

I'm very much against continuing this trip into Valyria, even for great loot promised.

Everyone has things to do, important things,
and Viserys+Dany won't cut it.

Eh, didn't DP say he might just get to keep it as a way for the archmage to save face?

Did he? That's a possibility then.
I would assume the archmage would rather save face by publicly executing him in a horrible manner, after all "my student ran and left the fleet to die" it's not much better than "he died like a bitch".
Of.course, that would not be the asuras fault and I can see the spirit being rewarded for returning the body, and then promptly executed to keep him quiet.

So after some thought on the matter I decided to to a City of Brass interlude, since it should take at least one more day until your Yi Ti expedition can get their audience with the emperor.
