[X] Xuan Shi is the closest thing to an expert on Xuan Wu that you know, and your liege has asked you to get closer to him. He's also not a bad sort, perhaps together you can put Zhengui through his paces?

Mostly I mean the radar and Spring Breeze Canto(Especially with Six backing us with Cheerful Muse's Accompaniment) letting us power through privacy screens.

It'll be hard for !TotallyNotSudoWudo to camouflage when we have a vantage point on ourselves from that one funky looking tree though.

I just don't see it. Maybe if Luo was TRYING to trap us here that would be a risk, but I don't think that is the case. He knows he's underestimated us before, he knows Gu, Bai, and Cai have our backs, and he probably knows how well we finished(allegedly) the shit Yan Renshu started.

Does he want to burn any possible bridge with us? Maybe, but if so we want to know that too.
Luo might not but the others? There's a reason our relationship with the Emerald Seas crowd is Rank -2

[X] Shen Hu approached you for once. He has found the abandoned lair of an underworld dragon, but is not confident that he can face the scavengers that fill it unopposed.

[X] Luo Zhong has invited you to join his clique on a hunt, it is an opportunity to learn more of the factions which divide the emerald seas

If we want the ES to stop hating us, we need to be legible to them. Right now we are the jumped up streetrat with a household of ex-prostitues and the trust of the most third most important person in their world. They have no idea how we are going to react to the tools they are used to using with each other, and no real sense of what we are using Cai's trust to advocate for, or against.

So, we need to develop enough raport that some of them, at least, feel like they know how to offer us boons or insults without either party getting confused about what is going on. If they can grok the rules we operate by, then they don't fear us for being unpredictable. And that, I think, is the key to getting the ES positively disposed to us: let them think they know what interests we are going to support and what we will oppose, and we disappear into the normal game they play.

Last I recall of Li Suyin she was a little too preoccupied with the fancy new crafting mats we'd gotten her to finish breaking into Bronze and cultivating her family art up to the point she could heal her eye. Did I miss that changing or is Su Ling at the same Realm/Grade of Cultivation as her now?

There's more. With Su Ling getting a breakthrough like this, she might make it to the cut off point for being a baroness. At which point the feral one will become a noble and have to learn how to attend court. I wonder who might help her with that?

She already achieved it by just getting partial third.

Xuan action seems boring. We've already done bonding over Zhengui many times.

Honestly, one of the times I enjoyed the most was Legends of the Hidden Love Shack, just because of how little it had to do with Zhengui.

Of course, Ling Qi is just making excuses for spending time with BestTurtle using BestTortoise.

Four major reasons deciphered(mostly to have it out there)
-We're not even giving the expected lip service to noble martial traditions(yet)
--If done deliberately this would largely say that we don't think their culture(and by extension, them) matter. Noble weapons are passe, doots are in.
--If done accidentally this would suggest they are less qualified than a total ignoramus(they are, but shhh).

-We made a household out of former prostitutes.
--This suggests that we consider (former) prostitutes to be appropriate for a noble's household. This is naturally quite insulting to the carefully handpicked for appearance, skills and prestige noble households.
--This also means that none of the household are going to have any kind of exploitable connection because they were literally beneath notice and pulled from another city so they have no usable informants is frosting on the cake.

-We associate almost exclusively with people from other provinces
--High status people, which points to the whole clueless rube thing being a front. But from locals we've zero contacts with non-commoners. It looks a lot from an outside perspective like we're deliberately cutting them out of things.

-We got a position many of them coveted

You could probably boil it down to: Ling Qi barely affords them any respect, partly because she seriously doesn't care about their existence.

And thats a little offensive to them.

I think these points are best addressed by

1: Well, we've learned to sword, and are working on our tactics.

2: I chose my staff for loyalty and reliability. Tell me, where does one find well trained staff that isn't beholden to someone more powerful? You don't, or you've had them for generations.

3: I associate with those willing to associate with me. It really is that simple.

4: Git Gud Scrub*Smiles* Then take it from me
