Outsiders move pretty deliberately, A. And B, we are not scaling up well to the Planar Empires. That only happens once we devote significant numbers of men and material to the war effort, and as you can imagine, the more we participate, the more actionable intel our allies share with us, because they value that participation. At the moment we have given all indications that we are propping up our nation with PC power. We are being treated as individual actors, influential, valued, but that's all contractual, so what we hear is often just what is important for us to know. In fact, we might be isolated from more intelligence simply because they want us to focus on what we're already doing, making ourselves actually useful. We're approaching the exponential growth phase. Once we start producing entire units of aerial forces every month, we start to climb that ladder up from junior partner.

And economically we are an extreme lever for the exchange of goods between Air and Earth, nothing to be underestimated. What we are doing is keeping morale high for the Shaitan and Djinn nobles, because we provide an avenue for rare goods that would otherwise be scarce due to war and interrupted trade routes.

The U.S shipped chocolate along with field rations for a reason. It provides little value to the body, but it makes a weary soldier feel alive while in hell.

Fact is that we're the junior partner vis-a-vis the Brazen Throne. Given both that and the logistics of attacking us, I fully expect the Efreeti to not even bother to look into it until we kick off Operation Currency Destruction and force them.

Tiamat has been on full retreat for a while now, it's rather telling we need to go look for her forces in Yi-Ti of all places. Lolth has bigger problems, like reunifying the Drow and rebuilding their civilization, which is probably doing about as well as the Serpentfolk as of right now. I fully expect her to ignore us and hope we go away at least for a while.

Mammon is going to attack us, that's guaranteed, the real question is how he'll do it since he needs to regrow his assets in the Prime Material from scratch after the Varys Fiasco. He also needs to look for new and creative ways to stop us jacking his minions.

For the Illithids, we've been in a standoff for a while now and the time to attack is indeed soon. Our strategy will probably be a ton of magical nuking and other such strikes by Viserys and the Companions, dealing as much damage as possible to all the strongholds we know of.

While we're dealing with that, a lot of other things will be postponed simply because they're regional threats compared to the global threat of the Deep Ones.

The Court of Stars has to deal with Chosen of the Seven blocking their marriage plans at the moment, the Undead in Sarnor are less than energetic when Dothraki aren't involved, the Bloodstone Emperor hasn't been known to make an overt move in centuries and us stealing one piddly Rakshasa won't be what gets him to go on a conquering spree.

The 15th will continue squatting on the ruins of Valyria for a fair while longer, we've only seen it project power once and the guy it was using basically did it all of his own volition (one may note the 15th stranded the guy by ruining his ship, he's not exactly enthusiastic about this global domination thing).

Yep. Good points, dude.

With the Moonchaser coming online this month, along with three more Heralds and six more Wyverns, our non-PC power projection will be increasing significantly. If we can continue to produce a Moonchaser class ship every two or three months and four to six Wyverns per month, we will very rapidly become a serious extraplanar naval power, one with hardcore asymmetric strike capabilities through our stable of high level PCs and magitek weaponry.

Basically the British Empire, very big geographically, strong and disciplined but (comparatively small) military, and a RIDICULOUSLY powerful navy.

I know we have other places to assign them, but every Moonchaser needs at least two Heralds and a flight of Wyverns as escorts.

We can pad their crews with powerful Plant creatures, too. Advanced Druid Lotus Leshy and Verdant Wolves would be my recommendation.

I'm also going to want to commission or craft multiple items of command activated Greater Make Whole for each Moonchaser, as well as a providing a maintenance crew of trained Bulubar engineers.

Shadow Lord Fey Dude: You summoned me, your grace?

Viserys: More Bulubar!

SLFD: Excuse me?

V: I need a gross of Bulubar. Yesterday!

SLFD: "I can untwine the secrets of the darkest powers and spin a yarn from moonlit visage fairest of any--"

Viserys: "--and what I really want you to do... for me... is go over there."

SLFD: "... and get you some bulubar."

Viserys: "Thanks."

SLFD: "...yeah. You too. Prick."

Viserys: "What was that?"

SLFD:  "Would you like some Pech with that?"

Viserys: "Someone needs to be punished." *breaks Hardened glass protecting a special Whispering Brazier labeled "Break Glass to be Entertained"*

Viserys: *speaks into the uncovered Brazier* "Glyra, your mission, if you choose to accept it..."

I am for murdering them. They are an entire species of backstabbing jackasses who enjoy tormenting one another. As for the two we can figure something out. Fucking drow. Reading some of their lore makes me want to throw up.
You know what, yeah, fuck them.

Does that make me racist?
Probably, yes.

Don't care, lets kill all Drow we can (except our 2).

I don't want to get into their politics as well, even if that's needed to find who is an asshole and who is (a bit) less of an asshole.

As I said, Factionalism.

Assuming they're all assholes is a mistake, I'm all for killing assholes but you need to confirm that shit.

It's a character trait anyway, DP isn't gonna write that moral shortcutting when we're actively redeeming the kind of elements we are.

I would like to keep sending our pair of Drow assassins off on adventures, grow them up to be strong PCs, then help them take over a faction within Drow society.

Of course, this isn't likely to ever happen, and if it did would certainly be a long term option. It's one that can happen with relatively little input from us, though, which is a plus.

Agreed, we need to cultivate their talents at an accelerated pace.

I'd like to stick them with Vrath and maybe a few other PCs.

[X] Goldfish

I think yeeting him would be worth it, because I think executing him is a trap.

But we need to get on a long.

Also I've been telling you guys to throw money at Relath and tell him to hire acquire and underwater army for....

Gosh, it's actually been years now. So.

:thonk:

Honestly I don't get what's so hard about delegating, but nobody ever notices/cares.

Edit: if y'all want to execute him without it getting it's juice back I recommend... Plane of fire? Plane of positive energy?

Send him to a hyper lethal plane. Or consecrate the area.

Keeping in mind a lot of the argument for their robustness is sectioned hulls seperate from functional and crew spaces so that single spell effects don't scuttle them, you'll actually have to get to the damaged portions somehow.
