[X] Speak to the strange ship in person -[X] Try to come to an understanding with it. You're not opposed to it joining the fleet so long as your laws are obeyed and your vassals are unharmed. --[X] Along with the understanding that it cooperates with your vassals should the fleet come under fire again. -[X] Make sure trouble won't be caused at ports where the fleet docks. -[X] Ask it how the Deep Ones found it and convinced it to attack our fleet. -[X] Transport three Verdant Wolves, six Advanced Druid Creature Lotus Leshys, and three Blooming Seaweed Leshys to serve as further support for the fleet, and to make up for losses incurred during the attack. --[X] Make a note to bring the Minotaur corpse back to Sorcerer's Deep and raise it, and allow it stay at home and recuperate.
Though the sun had long since set on Sorcerer's Deep, blood-red fingers of light still reach out between the tattered clouds over the Cinnamon Straits illuminating a scene at once triumphant and weary. Soaked sails snap in the wind at half-mast and tired cheers erupt from the deck of the Queen Rhaella and the Hunter's Moon both as they see you on the wing. Farther off from your ships under the watchful gaze of the Herald lays an older and far stranger craft. Overgrown with dark oily roots and twisted branches that seem to claw at the sky, the ship looks like it should not even be able to float to your eye, though you imagine magic more than the work of long dead shipwrights has more to do with how it manages it.
Curious as you are you do not fly directly there but instead seek out Diana for an accounting of the battle. You take care to laud the efforts of all those who had acquitted themselves with particular skill and valor like Leto, Theon, and the Queen Rhaella's fey spirit who had at last decided to just call herself Rhaella, simply to keep up with mortal use. "I would have liked a few more years to decide, but I do not want to confuse my crew," she admits shyly.
"I am certain you will do the name as proud from this day forth as you have in the battles past, my lady," you encourage her. Though it had been her first true battle, she was the one responsible for you having a prisoner at all. The spirit does not know much, though peering through its thoughts you get a sense that both it and its now dead lord were recruited in Vialesk, within currents of the Endless Ocean—mercenaries, deniable assets then. About what you had expected, though it is yet another sign that the hour to break your farce of a 'truce' with the Deep Ones is drawing near.
Before taking to the air once more, you quietly arrange to have the body of the slain minotaur taken back to the Deep with you, in the hopes that you can return it to life. There are few of their line remaining, and you would not wish to see it wither even if the price has to be paid in diamonds.
Once, twice, thrice you circle the strange ship drawing gradually closer as the Herald explains your presence, using whatever faint goodwill it has managed to glean.
"Come forth if you will, King of Men," the crackling voice addresses you at least. Far from the most gracious invitation you have ever gotten, but not quite the worst either.
So do you step upon the deck in human form, your foot sinking a full three inches into the soft lichen that covers it. The 'crew' draw back instinctively in eerie unison, confirming your suspicion that they have no will of their own and are controlled instead by the ship's guiding will.
"Know that I have no objection to you joining my fleet so long as you follow the laws of the realm and make no war upon those I would see as my allies while aiding in the protection of the whole," you declare simply, guessing that such a being would have little use for mortal courtesies.
"These laws, name them," the hiss of the wind through the tattered sails answers.
The question takes you a touch aback, though in the end you think you've managed to boil down your legal code to something both relevant and comprehensible to the ancient spirit.
"These rules I will keep, though in battle I will act as seems fitting to me and not under the dominion of your captains." From the vehemence you guess this is not a point you can press, not that you have any intention to do so. Having another loosely allied ship in a fight is better than not having it, and there is still hope to tighten the relations in the future.
You nod. "One final question then, ancient one. How did the treacherous Deep Ones find you?"
"They unraveled the Snare of Broken Moments that had held me," the spirit replies, an echo of hate growing in its words. "For many years I hunted the ships of my maker and would-be murderer, until some others of his order sailed out to do battle. They had not the courage to face me strength against strength, and so they tangled me in time's embrace."
Chronomancy... you knew the Deep Ones had some skill at it, but to discover that the warlocks do as well is not an altogether pleasant surprise. Then again it would be easier to loot the Palace of Dust than the undersea cities of the Farspawn.
On returning to the Deep you command that nine more leshys reinforce the fleet against further such attacks, alongside three verdant wolves.
Three Verdant Wolves
Six Advanced Druid Creature Lotus Leshys
Three Blooming Seaweed Leshys

OOC: Well you rolled really well, so you got everything in one update with no complications for once. The reason Viserys did not take the reinforcements himself is because it takes time to gather them and he has better things to do than wait around for that.
Oh man it's interesting that we have even teleporters that we can delegate teleport action duties to them while poor Bobby B as of last month doesn't have access to a single one.

Lana can teleport just fine, and though not particularly beholden to such will probably heed a request at true need. Has any mage in the Crown's service or part of the Golden Shields reached this level of power @DragonParadox?

Lanna's class hinders her quite a bit. As a Sha'ir she has to spend days waiting for her familiar to bargain with far-off genies for spells. Yeah, she can teleport, but she can't really do it on a whim like Viserys and his more powerful vassals can.
That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the Lannisters started getting more powerful PCs through Lanna training them.
Bloodraven knows...probably. So we can find out when we hit him up for that info. Also what other minor actions can we take? We can do multiple via delegation if we need to.

Mind actually doing that 700-HD fireproofing ritual now, too?
I mean, we could do that before going to Uncle, but it kinda makes sense to me to do that sooner rather than later..?

We could, but I'm holding off for two reasons:
1. Sacrifice Wrangling is a pain when it comes to massive blood sacrifices like that.
2. I really want to just get to Sothoryos at this point. I've been looking forward to it for a while.

There's also the fact we are probably going to capture quite a few sacrifices in Sothoryos, which might change which sacrifices we want to use for the ritual.

Preparations are already made. Everyone going has their gear upgrades applied, scrolls have been distributed, as well as Alchemical supplies and emergency charms.
Viserys, Dany, Richard, Lya, Vee, and Malarys are ready for Magical Australia. I'll take one last look at spell loadouts for our prepared casters when I get home.
I know we're planning to further explore the Necropolis, but we have the time and power to do more while we're there. Maybe investigate the silver mine we learned of? Or just travel deep into the interior of the continent to see what is on the other side of the jungle?

Excellent. @Goldfish, what gear are we assigning our new Deep-Dweller Serpentfolk Minion again? I know the Companions are updated, but we need our guide taken care of as well.
Anyway, if we're exploring Sothoryos there are multiple places to explore:
1. Venthar's surface, possibly with our Drow in tow so they can show us which places might still be worth looting.
2. Any of the dozens of Serpentfolk Citadels which Yss showed us the locations of.
3. The "Silver Mountains" where Drow Fleshcrafters apparently laird.

I'm interested to know what this "Snare of Broken Moments" is and how to defend against it. Facing the Warlocks of Qarth and getting caught in it would be unfortunate to say the least.
