We could talk to that one.
Ice Devils seem rather compatible with us, relativly speaking.
We could talk to that one.
I was thinking the same thing. I'd also like to get the Legion Devils and the Steel Devils. We could talk to that one.

It's a shame we couldn't get them, but these I'd definitely like to get.I still don't know why we don't like that Falxugon or the sorcerer imp though. I'm going to defend the rights of some fiends

We voted on them being sacrifice-fodder now.Aren't them still around. I don't think that we have sacrificed them.
We voted to not spare them, unfortunately. They're a lost cause. Thus our effort is better spent on the Ice Devil, the Steel Devils, and the Legion Devils.Aren't them still around? I don't think that we have sacrificed them.
Obviously, dude. They're going to be in a bottle until the ritual is made.We voted on them being sacrifice-fodder now.
They are still around in that capacity, yes.
And @everyone, while I generally don't mind having Devils in our employ, please, please let's wait until we have a "one-fits-all" ritual before we get anyone but Erynies (or Barghests, after this month).
They are Mammon's people. They are by definition untrustworthy unless proven otherwise.
We need but few more months for that ritual, anyway.
Let's not compromise our Empire with dozens of petential enemy agents before thatm ye?
Even if it's spread, what do we care if our enemies should grow Weirwoods? We aren't responsible for defending Weirwood trees we didn't grow, and our favor with the old gods is high enough, that the old gods wont be angry at us for killing whoever got ahold of the ritual. So long as the ritual is limited to trustworthy people and doesn't spread under any circumstances there's no issue here. I'm looking forward to when Reva and Liset can start growing their own trees.
Because actual damage can be caused with enemies growing the wrong tree for one. They don't even need to figure out how to warp a Heart Tree (though that's another concern entirely), the preexisting ritual allows you to make some very fucked up trees. And then we have potential problems if we have to get rid of said trees.Even if it's spread, what do we care if our enemies should grow Weirwoods? Heck them growing Weirwood, is effectively giving us a backdoor into their fortresses, we can tree stride from Weirwood to Weirwood, so if they should be foolish enough to grow a Weirwood while being our enemy, they would only be making dealing with them easier.
The Erinyes were likely targeted as well. They may have also counted on none of them wishing to retreat from the fight to warn others that the fleet was in danger.
I think we can confidently say that had Leto not stood her ground a lot more people would have died.
Alright, that's fair.I'm not saying that they would flee immediately but if the point is deniability in a future fight, I think it's relatively safe to assume that the higher end CR, ranged, at-will teleporting combatants might be one of the last ones left standing in such a scenario.
When does an Erinyes decide it's the correct strategic decision to warn their liege, probably before there's nobody left.
Heart trees have very limited range, even if they make a fucked up tree, once we have taken them out it's a simple matter to isolate that tree, just put up some walls and post a few guards.Because actual damage can be caused with enemies growing the wrong tree for one. So long as the ritual lore stays firmly within our control and doesn't leave the hands of trusted subordinates there's going to be no issue, I trust @DragonParadox not to screw us over when we weren't the ones to actually decide to let subordinates grow the trees.
Yeah, no. The solution is to make sure they don't get the ritual at all. We neatly sidestep all issues that we would have otherwise dealt with.Heart trees have very limited range, even if they make a fucked up tree, once we have taken them out it's a simple matter to isolate that tree, just put up some walls and post a few guards.
I'm not sure if that's even possible, sure we can prevent it from being leaked from us, but it's not like we are the only ones with it, the Mountain clans have it, the Freefolk have it, ancient First Men text can probably be used to reconstruct it, the old gods want to spread their Weirwood, so if you bring a sacrifice to a Weirwood, and ask for the ritual you are likely to get it.Yeah, no. And we can't stop that. What we can do, however, is make sure we're not the ones making it widely available. And with the Free Folk and the Mountain Clans gradually coming into our dominion we can enforce our laws on them regarding those rituals.I'm not sure if that's even possible, sure we can prevent it from being leaked from us, but it's not like we are the only ones with it, the Mountain clans have it, the Freefolk have it, ancient First Men text can probably be used to reconstruct it, the old gods want to spread their Weirwood, so if you bring a sacrifice to a Weirwood, and ask for the ritual you are likely to get it.
This isn't a ritual we developed, this is one of the central rituals of the old gods, in their height every tribe of First men probably at least had theoretical knowledge of it, if someone with decent resources want to acquire it they will.
That Oberyn made his moves already just adds up some spice to this relationship, doesn't it?[X] Duesal
If the two tree-ships fall in love with each other... would their children be dingies, or rafts?
Oberyn is a fling type of person, and they are both ageless beings, they will still be around far after Oberyn and the Dryadship breaks up.That Oberyn made his moves already just adds up some spice to this relationship, doesn't it?
Kinda getting the urge to tie Oberyn down to some overbearing outsider just so he'll stop sticking it in our vassals, and trading partners, and infrastructure, it's getting annoying. He's gonna cause an incident sooner or later.
That's not going to stop him. Not to mention the fact that the man will refuse to be tied down period.
Edit: In fact this would encourage him to do it to get away from his overbearing wife who he had no choice in marrying.
Who says he had no choice?
And obviously I chose Outsider for the SLAs available to keep track of/drag him back.
