Probably some really dangerous shit that we can't afford to dafely dispose of, nor we want to weaponize.

Like radioactive magic waste or something like that
As of yet we haven't found anything like that, we couldn't use as a sacrifice to one of our gods, we might find it in the future, but if we do, I would think it wouldn't be something, we would want to risk potentially gifting to the Void.

By the way, now that the Others are just a part of a greater entity we have come to call The Void, I'm feeling Starcraft vibes here. At some point we will get to fight Amon or something like that.

We'll probably end up having to finish the destruction of Hellven in such a way as to permanently bar the Plane from the rest of existence, in doing so trapping the Void with no means to exert influence on the rest of creation, and as a result severing the links it may have to minions such as the Others.

I was thinking the Void is a kind of anthropomorphization of Entropy/the opposite of 'be'.

And (far) future hero groups would have to cope with splinters trying to reopen gates.

I'm getting more of a Warcraft void feeling, something from beyond reality that want to destroy everything, that's pretty much how Warcraft void work.

Lets see if the old gods can't close that portal first, they are experts at dealing with void shenanigans.

Do the Void Lords truly want to end all creation? I thought they wanted to control it. The omnicidal ones are the Burning Legion, with all that logic of 'the void can't win if we kill everything first'

Void Lords are Chaos Gods expies, they want to control reality and shit all around it

The Legion has become closer to the Devils if they were actually demons, Sargeras wants to destroy everything and rebuild it without Void Lords having any influence on it

The apparent Wizard is dead, along with another 3 members of the impromptu party who were probably less remarkable but still experienced (and appreciated) armsmen. But then I'm fairly confident Brienne knows how to deal with that.

She might be pragmatic enough to deduce we have people who can cast the spell and ask us before haring off in a trip across the continent though, so what will we say if she does?

Sure.

EDIT: To be a bit more wordy, yeah, we'd probably be willing. She certainly won't get that offer from her fellow Chosen, as the Stranger isn't big on Resurrection magic, apparently.

"Well I have heard many versions of the tale, perhaps originating on different islands," Aennys replies "It is said that long ago an evil enchantress or perhaps a demon came or was summoned to the Summer Isles. She ensnared a good and brave king with her wiles turning him into a bloodthirsty tyrant. She either had a crown made of Blood Orchids or the first of these flowers sprang from where her black blood touched the soil of the islands when she was finally slain by a mighty hero. Quite a chilling tale but really nothing more than superstition"
@DragonParadox, is there a Blood Orchard Crown artifact sitting around in the Summer Islands?

I must say that I completely missed that, and that it makes my head hurt almost as much as mopey creatures who can cast Miracle. But if that's the case she probably won't ask and may not even have been told that's something other divine casters get to have, depending on how much The Warrior felt he had to inform her.

Canon Omake: King's Song
It is just a song Maline, you can do this You think as you peek out from the edge of the stage. It is not like you will be beaten if they do not enjoy your song.... Not anymore at least. You think with a brief flash of grim amusement as she remembered with glee the sight of her former master swinging from the gallows like some kind of bloated fruit.

You followed his armies and his exploits, chased rumors and suspicions, and traveled further than you had ever thought you ever would. You think as your build up your courage. For what better way to chronicle his growing legend and legacy than to see it first hand! You think and step up onto the stage and signal the other musicians

"Tonight I sing of a King, just and good, a king who all in the Deep hold to truly!" You shout to great cheers and shouts to the king's health.

"Flashes of frailty and thoughts of red doors
Climb from the dirt to the skies
Bloodlines that failed him compel nothing more
Ambition it burns in his eyes"

You sing, hinting towards the king's roots as a stranded orphan in Braavos and to his oddly vocal disdain of his father when asked.

"Cast beyond duty and passed through the scorn
Voices that warn to be discreet
Whisper of strength that's born of the storm
And the dreams of eight thousand feet"

You continue the song as the crowd falls silent, singing of how his Champion would supposedly often, and still does, speak of caution of his meeting with Knight of the Storm who he learned through rumor, and his dreams even then of taking back his home.

"Unbound
Bellows of war resound
Through high walls
Tyrants of toil will fall"

You continue your song, singing of his conquests, his love of freedom, and how he brings down the wicked wherever he goes.

"King of the free
The breaker of chains
Winter will cry out thy name
Look to the sea
To follow his claim
Lord of the Air and Flame"

You sing, joined by the other bards who were playing alongside you, garnering cheers at the mention of breaker of chains and king of the free garnering smiles from all watching and one of your own.

"Accept the new or die out in the old
Ruthless his justice and truth
Planting the seeds through his cities of gold
Rip out the weeds by the root"

You sing of him turning over the old and rotten orders and bringing forth prosperity and strength where before there was stagnation and rot. Ruthlessly purging the demon cultists and the slavers.

"King of the free
The breaker of chains
Winter will cry out thy name
Look to the sea
To follow his claim
Lord of the Air and the Flame"

The rest of the players join in once more as cheers are raised once more at the reminder of the King's greatness and kindness.

"Unseen
Spokes on the wheel still turn
To crush down
Unleash the hordes unbound"

You sing, of how darkness still waits beyond the king's gaze as the shadows constantly spill forth to consume the world.

"Bound no more
Let my people soar
To the distant shores
We will glide over the world"

Sing's a man with Valyrian and a beautiful voice as the listeners cheer before he steps back to continue playing as the chorus once again rises.

"King of the free
The breaker of chains
Winter will cry out thy name
Look to the sea
To follow his claim
Lord of the air and flame"

You all finish to rousing cheers and you bow and walk off with a smile on your face as you return to rest after the performance and begin writing the next song to honor the king....

A/N: I did not write these lyrics, I just modded a few bits from this song by Miracle of Sound.

Isnt that just the negative plane though? The Positive one is creation and the Negative is destruction right? Is the Void supposed to be some Darkeness beyond darkness schtick?
That's a question only DP can answer.
My current assumption: take the void and our multiverse here, merge them and you get a nice nothing.

That was really neat. :)

Thanks. I blame accidentally making expresso coffee when I meant to make regular. Chugged a cup of it as big as my head and now I have WAAAY to much physical and mental energy which was probably the only reason I managed to get that out.

Not looking forward to the caffeine crash though
