Whatever it is it's probably coming from the Underdark and given now little you guys know of what lives down there Dany can't make an educated guess.
Can we have our Drow sit down with Vee and compile a small section for the Underdark to add to her growing bestiary?

Also... is there an entrance here?

I wonder if this is a dragon from the Underdark or something. I remember purple dragons living down there. I can't think of anything else "jealously guarding the hoard" off the top of my head.

it's definitely not coming from the Underdark, I can assure you of that*

Just a few typos for you @DragonParadox

Let me try and horrify you with a quick search or two.

Damn being away from books means you have to remember the exact name? Stupid lack of augmented memory.

There's a thing with a name similar to Bannaloth that is basically a walking AMF.

Various Beholder species of course, could also be some kind of advanced Umber Hulk to fit the watcher theme as it has a gaze attack.

@Goldfish, so I take it in addition to Glass Golems for the Erinyes, we're mainly going to be handing them out to the Inquisition and the Silver Eye?

Though that said I'm certain the Wall would very much benefit from one of these.

Unfortunately Cold attacks are one of it's weaknesses, not a destructive one but fairly debilitating.

  • A magical attack that deals cold damage slows a glass golem (as the slow spell) for 3 rounds (no saving throw).
Luckily they also lend themselves well to our affinity for fire

  • A magical attack that deals fire damage ends any slow effect on the golem and heals 1 point of damage for each 3 points of damage the attack would otherwise deal. If the amount of healing would cause the golem to exceed its full normal hit points, it gains any excess as temporary hit points. A glass golem gets no saving throw against fire effects.
I'm sure we can find a low level Fire spell for fast healing, and if we really want to dump some cash we could mess around with things that leave lingering flames like Body Blaze. If we can get an alternative that deals damage to the target :evil:

If we get 12 per month, I'm sure we'll find plenty of places to assign them.
Ideally we can get one per province assigned to the Inquisition therein. That would be an excellent spread of forces. This coupled with a Herald assigned to every Count and Governor.

... That is very unfortunate. Dammit. I guess we're back to a Valyrian Steel or Dragonglass Golem of some sort.

Hm.
Hmm.

@DragonParadox, this month we are set to mulch 1 Obsidian Devil in the MossForge - to learn how to make simular constructs to it, since...
Well, obsidian we have aplenty, and they seem like great weapon against Winter-touched.
(Also, great resistances)

Would there be some resonance with the Myrish glass golems?
A way to improve both methods of creating these constructs?
Obsidian is still glass, after all, so they aren't all that different.

Well, this knight has EARNED some magical items for this. Perhaps made from this mysterious Watcher for added symbolism.

The first Obsidian Minotaur is still waiting patiently to be created.

Burn (Ex)
The claws of an obsidian minotaur deal 1d6 points of fire damage each time they hit. A creature hit must succeed on a DC 16 Reflex save or take 1d6 points of fire damage for 1d4+1 rounds as clothes ignite and armor becomes searing hot. The save DC is Constitution-based.

This is very nice... We really should make one of these for the Night's Watch, and then give it an Otherbane Valyrian Steel Greataxe on top of that.

Potentially yes, but I'm not sure you guys need more research projects.

Need more votes, y'all. Right now we have competing choices between visiting the Opaline Vault or Stannis.

  • [X] Travel to the Plane of Earth to deal with your business there
-[X] Retroactively place a standing order for 12 Glass Golems per month to be produced by the Glassmakers Guild of Myr. Cost: 118,404 IM per month.
[X] Meet with Stannis Baratheon. With the bargain you've struck with Storm God, he may yet play a part larger than being but a mere Lord...

*looks at Tolos scholarum and another one he doesn't remember the name of off the bat*

*said scholarum branches being done, and ready to assist in Research Projects... If not added to the sheet yet. @Crake!*

*looks at the plans to set one Scholarum branch everywhere the Empire stretches*

Mhm.
The thought is much appreciated, but weird thing is, we actually don't have that much Research Projects right now.
Or rather, not that many important ones.

I suspect that we'll clear out the existing ones in as much as 6 months.
Yes, really.

Mind you, I am not talking about "Godcrafting", completing Necromancy branch, looking into Valyrian Steel, or such.

But making different-looking leshys?
Looking through the minor magical objects we had since the start of the quest?
Etc minor stuff that clogged up the list before?

That stuff is getting done with, soon.

Would it be possible to make an item for them that either constantly or at will does a small amount of fire damage to them? Like a cantrip or something?

You'll have to run the math, persisting fire damage on it's claw attacks is nothing to sneeze that.

What did the stacking banes add up to?
An extra 2d6 of damage for each bane.

So Otherbane was Winterbane + Undeadbane + Feybane, totaling up to 6d6 damage. Pile that on a Valyrian Steel weapon and the Others have a very bad day.

I take it you're referring to the Heralds' and Harbinger's abilities to heal by fire? The Obsidian Minotaur unfortunately doesn't have that.
