I could do that sure. Sounds fun.
Her HQ is more her godly realm.
This is more like charting a flight to a branch office in 3rd world country.
That mirror mephit probably never even left the prime material honestly. Given how hard it is to come and go.
Actually "third world dictator", probably describes how the gods view us quite accurately.
It's understandable, though I worry about how that work, with the enemies we throw in the Fungus Forge, I mean it's not like our enemies never get resurrected, so how do you make this ruling work, without us occasionally losing all use of an enemy body, because the enemy is strong enough to have a resurrection on call?Unfortunately not, whatever it was got sabotaged to keep it out of your hands.
Anyway now that I am actually awake I think the cleanest way to handle the flesh forge matter is just to do with my call of the bodies of the resurrected being magically dead, it fits with the ruling on grafts and closes down what might otherwise be a nagging frustration for everyone. I am sorry for all the flit-flopping @tarrangar but given your last post I hope the call to close the discussion firmly is understandable.

I mean Fiends and Celestials, naturally resurrect in their Outer Plane, and since we have gotten HD from them, clearly such resurrection don't count, the Rakshasa Lord, whose CR20 corpse we are planning to use for a batch, is also self-resurrecting in a new form, how do this work, with resurrection making them magically empty?
So all in all I'm fine with it for our allies, but I really don't like the implications for our enemies, it would suck if we lost the High CR corpse, we planned to make a batch in the Fungus Forge with, because the enemy was rich enough, to have a Priest with True Resurrection standing ready to revive them.
So all in all, I would prefer if we went with the ruling that the Fungus Forge drain a level from people being True Resurrected, and just had Viserys not think of feeding most of his weaker Vassals corpses to the Fungus Forge, before using lesser Resurrection magic.
Fiends and celestials reforming is not quite like resurrection, for one thing it takes much longer and for another it's a manifestation of the planes or some grand magic ritual. The point would be that mortal resurrection makes them magically empty. As for true resurrection on call, that is vanishingly rare and most of the people who could do it will probably end up in Yss' stomach anyway.
Winning vote
We have those kind of enemies too, until now I thought this was a non-issue and that we can assume suicide taints the body or whatever you want to believe for allies but now it seems an actual issue because our enemies are far more likely to be mulched and resurrected both in the normal course of affairs, no cheese necessary.
We go to great lengths with half of them to avoid that being the case after all.
The ones who could have True Resurrection on call, is the same kind of people, we are most likely to have to kill in battle, so the chance of it coming up at some point is more than zero, and it would feel quite bad, to lose our high CR corpses, because they were smart enough, to have bought a True Resurrection Scroll as insurance.Fiends and celestials reforming is not quite like resurrection, for one thing it takes much longer and for another it's a manifestation of the planes or some grand magic ritual. I would be fully okay with just saying, that the Fungus Forge is still a form of sacrificial engine, and so it wont accept totally false sacrifices, which mean while it don't care if your enemies resurrect what you toss in it, if you plan to do it yourself, then the sacrifice is false and so worthless.I'm going to need some time to think this though.
*sigh*
I feel like I have to design a whole system for 1-2 exceptional cases. I'm beginning to think this might be a good time to just apply handwaveium.

Basically have it work for the same reason, we can't mass-produce magic items, and grow Heart Trees with them.
I think you did a good job with it, I found the balanced between bias and reason for her very well executed.OOC: Here we are, Lanna is not a fan, but I tried not to make her irrationally biased. Hopefully I struck the right balance. I'm going to need a vote on what to do next, whether it's seeing more from Braavos in an update or moving on
Stranger's Eye
Twenty-Eight Day of the Ninth Month 293 AC
It was a day of celebration in Myr, not the brightest, nor the loudest, for this was not the city at the heart of the day's events, but still the tinkers wares clinked merrily, the wine hawkers of food and drink boldly proclaimed the worth of their stock and alehouses were filed far more and far sooner than on most other days. The king had won a great victory over Pentos it was said along with his Braavosi allies, who would soon be allies no more but fellow citizens. There was much nodding to be had that the Braavosi had proven 'as sensible as Myrmen', though a few worried voices amid the highborn, the Voices and the bureaucracy whispered fears of excessive Braavosi influence. The Bastard Daughter was already uncannily skilled at twisting hands to spill coins into its pockets. How much more so could that be true with the ear of the king?
Lanna Lannister, Lady of Castamere and first among the Golden Shields looked up at the rippling enchanted mirror without any trace of the good around her reflecting in her gaze and her worries ran far deeper than than gold running north or south along the Narrow Sea. All of Western Essos was his now or soon would be, for the notion that Lorath could resist such might was ludicrous....
The Dragon King stood before the Moonpool with his sister to one side and the Sealord to the other, around them were arrayed companions and Braavosi notables alike. The little princess was waving at the crowd and the mirror, the Mage smiling brightly, arcane fire in her gaze. even the Shadow was mark the moment when the city of his birth would pass under the Dragon's wings.
Four years ago this would have been mad fancy, the sort that not even the most foolish playwright would consider putting upon a stage, Lanna thought, dragons born again, spirits bright and dark walking under the light of common day, Valyria's Daughters united as one. Yet for all fear coiled in her stomach Lanna could not bring herself to hate the turning on the age. Four years ago I was betrothed to Antario Jast and him I would have wed. The idea felt revolting beyond any feelings of dislike to the knight himself, like picturing herself living her whole life in the mineshafts beneath the Rock never even knowing there was a sky beyond the roof of stone.
"To the people of Braavos I say welcome to the Imperium, as I was welcomed years past into your fair city," Viserys Targaryen began, more than his voice radiating sincerity. He was dressed simply in the manner of Braavos and he bore the grey doublet and black half-cloak easily. "For my sister and I it was our first true home, far more so than the palace of the Red Keep which we were forced to flee as children, and we will be forever grateful to the city and it's people for helping to shape us, to nurturing us when we were vulnerable, and accepting us when magic returned to the world. Here we have found not only allies, but friends beyond price..." with a momentary turn of the head away from the crowd he smiled at the Shadow and the Mage.
Did he mean it, Lanna wondered, or was he just such a consummate actor that he could play the same part standing on the steps of the Red Keep or atop the Black Walls of Volantis. what was behind that charming smile, she had to know, not just for herself, but for her children's sake also. Who was the man behind all the masks?
"In all honesty, it feels as though I have never left home. Jon Arryn's threadbare exile could not lock Braavos away from my heart any more than it could bar my passage. With that in mind, and in heartfelt thanks to the city that sheltered me in uncommon times and left me with some of the most pleasant memories of my quite eventful life, I would like to announce the construction of a novel and new quarter, to better tie the city to the greater realm upon which it has been joined to."
Cheers greeted the announcement that Drowned Town would be raised, both behind the mirror and before it. But Lanna had to wonder what would the people living there think of the dragon smashing their homes to raise the land higher. More than one king after all had considered removing the stain upon King's Landing that was Fleabottom, only to have royal ambition shatter upon the desperation of the meek. Then again it was said his city had no slums. Perhaps by some sorcery and slivered tongue he could see the promise fulfilled.
"It is the least of the works I have in mind for it, much like other territories to follow, but I hope it does not diminish in your sight the sincere gratitude to the citizens living here upon which it is meant. Let to them the spoils of this grand triumph of ours go, for I need of them naught."
Lanna snorted softly, the sound lost in the excited murmur of the crowd. Anyone who believed that must have never met a taxman. Developing land was always to the benefit of the lord in the long run if it was done right. Her tenure restoring Castamere had taught her that alongside many other lessons of good rule.
"Look forward to the times ahead of us, standing in the light of day, hand-in-hand, for a brighter future."
For the woman who melted into the crowds soon after the future looked no brighter than the rain clouds gathering overhead.

They want to swear about a month after Braavos, so as to keep their self-esteem more-or-less intact.

We should definitely do that, their old weapons and armor are valuable sacrifices, and the stuff we can craft them are better than it.I was thinking we could prove a point and instead of giving back +1 weapons and armor we could equip the giants in +1 Adamantine armor, and Valyrian Steel Greatswords. Those three are the start of Amrelath's core troops.
We have moved away from WBL, so I wouldn't use that to calculate their reward.@Duesal @Goldfish Did some rough math, but for a significant bonus plus the raw cash value of those encounters, anywhere from 20,000 to 25,000 IM sounds about right, erring towards the higher end of that. Rewarding both with something unique that they could not really commission from anyone else sounds about right, though be careful with that. Ear mark it for at least two months from now depending on what they ask for. We need to stop being so scattered with our enchanting budget for the next four or so turns.
Edit: Per dragon, thought I should clarify. That's basically double value of the encounter, which seems about right. Maybe even a bit too generous.
If they turn they will never stop being nobility, they will have to change their name, and their claim to Casterly Rock will be forfeit, but they will still rule Castamere. You did so very well.
I think she might be turned after the conquest, or even before it if she thinks we are going to be the winning side if only for the sake of her children.
With her magic they could easily reach nobility once more and if that were made clear.... She might just submit or at least not oppose us.
It really depends on if we could actually get her alone long enough to do so.

Agreed, I'm glad that we managed to avoid a salt explosion this time, it was nice to have a discussion that didn't end in salt.Sure, that sounds fine, and we can all agree not to look too closely into the the wording. That way lies the unfun kind of rules-lawyering.
That would be kind of bad for us, if Tywin died and Tyrion took over, then it would be far harder to justify destroying the Lannister family, as Tyrion would probably be smart enough to surrender immediately. That was great @DragonParadox. Poor Lanna, her time dealing with Tywin has left its mark. She should just arrange his "accidental" death and install Tyrion as his successor.
essentially, we are done.-[X] Once you got some intel from the prisoners made in that raid, see if you want to attack the mine directly at the beginning of the 10th month.
[X] Now, that the immediate threat of Mammon's agents in Westeros is taken care of, it's time to deal with those you might actually turn to a good cause yet.
-[X] Summon and diplomance/Larder the Erynies you've learned the true names of from Brachina (17 names available) and Uniila (3 names avaliable).
-[X] Attempt to sway the Falxugon that showed great cunning in evading you in Whitehabor.
Regular Healing Tree for Pentos, ...something something for Braavos.
There is a lot to do, and I want us to visit the Titan of Braavos to see about upgrading it.
...something something for Braavos.
Can't remember the effects either :/
