he's got angels tho

At the very least, we should expect a Deva and a Planetar to fight.

And honestly, i'd prefer Lucan dead, over them subverted.
:/
It's hard to plan too far ahead for potential combat scenarios without knowing who Lucan will have with him and where they'll be, but I'm leaning toward simple Banishment or Dismissal to deal with his Outsider allies.

I wonder if sticking a full dragon in the forge would allow us to make a half-dragon creature. Or if sticking a celestial would give us the celestial creature template
Having Fungal Pods grow dragonbone and dragonhide for us is one thing. Half dragons are another.

If we want half dragons and kobolds and the various other dragon-related races we need a legit Flesh Forge, not a Fungus Forge. So we need to go to Gogossos.

We can always show up to murderize him with Amrelath, Relath, all the Golems and Ser Richard. No one should be able to beat all these ones in melee even if we don't use magic.

Richard should still be able to stop him from casting, right?
Tyene's whip explicitly works in AMF btw ;).

Goldfish's reading makes sense, as the feat allows you to attempt to cast spells inside AMFs.

I wouldn't be surprised if he spared an AMF to put his persistomancy on, or if he were allowed the rolls when the AMF came up, to see if his spells hold.
I read it the same, just wanted to find out if there was any dissent from the main "mechanics nerds" (of which I consider myself a lazy member) ;)

The second bit I can see DP doing to counter our wealth magic, quite easily.

Since Lya is the only one capable of crafting them, that would take a while. We can work on it, though.

Ah,. So I enthusiastically talked about making a modified version that did not cost teleport slots (as I read current tattoo gaurdians as costing one each), and you rightly pointed out that it was not worth the 15 points (word of DP) to research making them cost 0 teleport slots for just one or two people. If/when we get enough, I do feel that there will come a point where it will be worth it to spend the time researching this, for logistical purposes - saving on smokey confinement castings (and the action required to break the bottle for scry-and-teleport-and-fight moments), or teleport castings.

Where that point (number of gaurdians made) lies, I dunno, but it is 15 points and the research will apply to previously created gaurdians, so there is no reason to prioritize it before making the tats :D.

... Kinda wish we had evaucated Irrilio's manse and fought the dragon there, but, I can't remember if we had the forge back at that point.

When are we planning on moving there? Also I think that that action may be a Viserys action. That islands sounds like it hosts monstrosities. And by that I mean both the creature type and anything monstrous.

I may have spoken too soon on that. We'll have to see how things are looking in a couple months.

It's definitely a Viserys action. That place is a Valyrian ruin well known for magically engineered monstrosities and designer diseases. We can't send baby adventurers or something and expect them to come back alive.

As for when, no idea.

Do you mean twisted animal-level intelligence creatures that have templates and HD for days? Because those can be, and feqently are a threat to local sapient populations, and I feel that it would be Viserys moral duty, as one thing-that-thinks to other things-that-think, in the area, to reduce the risk of attack and increase the local quality of life :D (shoe up, hunt animals, make friendly with any local peoples)

Absolutely on the longer end of "medium term things" at this point *nods*, considering spell slots available, it is a bit of a convience type research action, I personally wouldn't push for it untill we get 10 ish gaurdians made tbh.

(Though, I am, personality quite excited for it, and I have no idea why; it's frankly illogical )

Edit: I think I just like smoothing out logistical stuff, perhaps?

This isn't news, dude.
Gogossos,[1][2][3] once known as Gorgai, is a ruined city on the Isle of Tears, the largest of the Basilisk Isles. It lies on the southern coast of the island, facing the continent of Sothoryos.[1]
History

The Old Empire of Ghis founded the city under the name of Gorgai.[4] The Ghiscari held Gorgai for between two and four centuries until the Valyrian Freehold captured it during the Third Ghiscari War and renamed it Gogossos. The dragonlords used it as a penal colony for the worst criminals. New methods of torture were used and blood magic is said to have been practiced, including slave women being forced to mate with beasts to produce twisted, half-human offspring.[4]
Gogossos grew powerful through slavery and sorcery during the Century of Blood, with some calling it the "Tenth Free City". Its slave markets became as notorious as those of the cities of Slaver's Bay. Seventy-seven years after the Doom of Valyria, however, the Red Deathemerged from the slave pens of Gogossos and swept from the Isle of Tears and to the rest of the Basilisks. Nine of every ten men died from the plague.[4]
100 IM says the Red Death was a lingering designer disease from back when the Valyrians were still experimenting.

News to me. Thanks for posting that.

Ah Valeria "couldn't cast mending without sacrificing a bird", why you so pointlessly fucked up?

Oh, yeah, the 15th God.

Tbh, I don't read it as an intentionally designed disease, as even Valerians wouldn't be that fucking stupi-

Oh, they totally would. You know what, I can see them doing this, but I think it was either an accident from magic failing in a terrible way, and/or some fiends that were in storage/suspended animation got loose(ish) and decided to cause what harm they could from where they were trapped or something. We'll see, I suppose. But still. Eugh.

Weird though, it grew in power post doom because of magic:

"Gogossos grew powerful through slavery and sorcery during the century of blood"

So I'm guessing the overseeing mages die, and some fiends (expirmental subjects?) took over and used suffering as fuel for their magic

speaking of Outsiders, I'm assuming that the Old Gods don't have any because they are essentially bound to the PoB, but why doesn't Yss have any outsider servitors?

Or does he have them and just isn't strong enough to have them manifested yet?

Most of them were probably lost when he came so close to death. He'd have to get new ones or recreate the old ones.

Yrs is kind of too old fashioned for this "Outsider" shit

Back in the day you created snake men to provide sacrifices to you and you took care of them :p

Honestly I'm thinking there's truth to this. Instead of Outsiders, Yss just has a bunch of different children.
brings up an interesting dilemma.

Valyria or Yss' children/Jazziairan's Coatls?

Both need an expedition, both will be time-consuming, and both are greatly rewarding.
:/

Honestly, I'm inclined to do another loot-run in Valyria, nab that super-library if we can, and then go around/about looking for Coatls.

Valyria for sure.

Yss' children aren't really a priority for me right now, and we know Tiamat has an interest in Valyria.

Also Jazirian's children are best accomplished via Moonsong. We're making her a ship that can fly anywhere.
