The boat just screams "fight with no room to maneuver" to me. Pass.
The maze might be good but a forgotten temple is always better for finding secrets...

Temples are neat, and boat ended badly for us before.

He sighed. "This one merely wished to read the final two volumes, which were archived within the Sect alone."
Boy, I'm relating to this so hard right now. There's nothing more frustrating than a good book series where the next one isn't out yet or a puzzle you've almost completely solved but is missing one or two pieces before you're done, and this is both of those at once.

Darkness element possibly?

Because if we are doing Zelda, we do it in a Temple!

I like him. From all the male characters we have, he is the one I see having the highest friend potential and
I kinda think we need a male friend.
Furthermore he is so unlike any of our other friends, it just might be worth having the contrast around.

Still we don´t know that much about him, but I have high hopes.

Husband? Maybe in half a century we can look around again.

Let's get some more wood up in here.

And then this whole ordeal turns out to accidentally a Six route and the Twin Admirals just double facepalm while Xuan Shi is simply happy he got to unlock the temple's secrets :p

I really want to know more about Great Spirits and specifically those of the Empire and its bordures.

(reminds me of a manga with a similar situation, where the challenging entity kept giving harder tasks to a group of boy and multiple girls, so that only one of the girls would remain and be declared romantic pair, only for the entire group to pull through, thinking there is finite predetermined number of tests, until the entity got tired of coming up with new ways to break some of the girls off, and just declared them husband and wives).
Which one is that?

...I'm not gonna lie, the fact that Xuan Shi started mentioning those books made me think: "..Are we gonna reenact the fan art I made?" And then there was the way two out of three of those choices were worded....my sides hurt

As much as I want to choose the other for maximum hilarity, this one does seem to be the most adventurous, so yeah

I'm also a bit surprised CDE grew that far. I guess I underestimated the math on that

"I am no thief," the older man huffed, glancing at her again. "...Yet I must express disappointment in mine grand nephews lack of rigor in some matters," the man said with a sigh.
-So, nephew, how is the sect treating you?

It's amazing! They have the last volume of 'Through the Rivers Darkly' which was only printed for half a year about half a century ago. It's in amazing condition and really brings together a bunch of hanging plot lines. Really expands on the world building too. In fact, one of my favorite characters

-That's great. Glad to hear you're having fun. But how are you doing? Made any friends?

Huh? Oh, well I started working with the Cai heiress. But anyways, this latest installment really builds on previous themes of personal discovery and the emotional weight of

-Wonderful. Glad to hear it. Met any nice girls you'd like to introduce to us?

and the changes that come from them. Sorry what? Ahh, no, but there's this weird girl who bonded with a Xuanwu. Oh! I also found what I'm pretty sure is the inspiration for the Hidden Castle setting from the Thousand Islands Arc. It was behind

-Wait what! A Xuanwu? Why is this the first we're hearing about this?

took a while to breach, but it looks exactly the way the book described! It's so amazing seeing the real world basis of a cultural classic! And then there's

-No, go back to the Xuanwu! Xuan Shi! Xuan Shi? Hello? Fine, we can discuss this when we come to the tournament.

Darting Labyrinth Shadow
In days far past there was once a bamboo grove sacred to the Grinning Moon, filled with laughing shadows that danced and darted under the pale moonlight. In that labyrinthine grove, an incautious person could be lost for years, grasping for a light that they would never reach. Though the grove is long gone, this art preserves the lessons once taught to those who aspire to the favor of the Grinning Moon

Phantom of Bamboo Forest: D
Duration: Short
In the twisting realm of the labyrinth, the first lesson taught to navigate its depths is presence without presence: Emulating this mastery, the user enhances their spiritual avoid and armor, dispersing the whole of the their spirit beyond the strict bounds of the body. When active this technique also penalizes perception that is based on non-physical senses.

Thus Scattered: C
Duration: Immediate
In the moment before a spiritual attack would strike home, though user's spirit and dantian scatters into a thousand wisps of shadow, reforming after the attack has passed through. Enhances spiritual avoid, and reduces damage from a successful attack significantly.

As someone pointed out in discord, we have already heard about a labyrinth trial, that was related to the moon. Like this one might be, with the 8 pointed stars and puzzles for entry.

Given that we were trying for a stealth insight, I am gonna choose the labyrinth.

Man, the great spirit option is super tempting because it screams loot.

However, this is remniscent of Best Character (Shenhua's waifu), and if we want to be a good waifu for CRX we need a role model.
