Remember Huang Da?It's not her fault most antagonists in xianxia experience villain decay as the protagonist's cultivation improves. Later we might say "Who?" Like we have with so many others.
Neither do I.

Speed doesn't do anything in fights unless you mean for escaping the fight.
Are we radiating Entropy? Because that could be bad for a mortal to be close to. Wouldnt want to accidentally kill the head of our house.
I disagree. Once arts start having more range, the ability to run around, kiting your enemies or closing the distance would be important once again.
The problem is that Art having range means speed is useless. Speed, or art that increase speed, means going from 20m in a turn to 60m... but arts can already make you teleport to 100-200m away while not being dependant on speed, and range of arts can easily be 400m+.I disagree. But what if we find a Cold archery art?

Being able to run faster doesn't mean anything for combat when everyone has leaps that negate speed. Kiting is done through superior teleports, not through speed.
There's only two scenarios where speed is actually useful. On a bit of an unrelated note, I think that people are underrating Speed as an attribute. Sure, it might not be very useful in combat, but it is very useful for running away. It's likely we wouldn't have escaped Sun Liling back in the first thread without our Speed being as high as it was. We'll definitely have to do more escaping in the future, especially when we leave the sect.
Not everyone has instant movement Arts, not even close. Yes we were unlucky with Ji Rong and Sun Liling, but aside from them how many prople on tournament used instant movement Arts? And remember our recent fight with swordboi? He also didn't use them. There's only two scenarios where speed is actually useful.
1. We are far enough away that their instant movement art can't be triggered towards us.
2. They aren't willing to attack us.
That's it. In all of these situations, as well as in general when it comes to escape, we would be better off using a talisman to teleport out.
Well...Is there never going to be a time when our Speed stat is so high that we'd be able to attack more than once before our enemy makes his/her moves? That not a thing here?
I'm afraid it's not a thing. Seems like Speed stat cover only movement speed.Speed: Measures the characters ability to quickly cover distances
Chu Song, Han Fang, Kang Zihao, Shen Hu.... even Meizhen has them. need I go on?Not everyone has instant movement Arts, not even close. "Begin!"
As the Elder's voice rang out and his hand chopped down, the field exploded into motion.
Ling Qi raised her flute to her lips, and the first notes began to ring out, releasing the first strands of thick and cloying mist, but not fast enough. Her opponent, Liang He, took a single step and blurred. There was a sharp crack as, in a straight line, the field split open like it had been carved through by a giant's knife, sending an explosion of dirt and rock outward.
Feeling a thrill of alarm and excitement, Ling Qi flooded her limbs with vital qi, activating her Deepwood Vitality technique just in time for the gleaming emerald light to intercept the diagonal slash that would have taken her full across the chest. Even through her defensive qi she felt the impact, and used it's momentum to push her leap backward, sparing herself a wound as her technique shattered. A fraction of an instant later, a streak of rainbow light caught her eye and she twisted to the side, mostly avoiding the hiltless blade that carved through the air, glancing off the dark silk of her gown in a shower of sparking qi.
Shes not actually a bunny no, but that was the association that led to the referenceWait, is she actually a bunny girl, like some kind of fusion of Eirin and Reisen?
I recognized the description back when she was first introduced the moment it mentioned a red and blue dress. I was like, "Eirin? Eirin, I know it's you. You can't fool me."
So, the only qi that was assimilated was darkness (.3 to cultivation speed of dark arts). Entropy is either a specific keyword for darkness or maybe an advance version of it then.
I was under the impression that it was referring to the cultivation penalty. Sluggishness in LQ's meridians has been repeatedly emphasized and I don't think in her capacity as a medical worker Xin would comment on merely normal cultivation. She'd be concerned with illnesses and stagnations like those caused by Ling Qi's now-fading doubt about herselfthat'd be the cold chi that mutates water, heat death of the universe stuff i think
I'm sort of curious about how @yrsillar plots. Did he set up the entirety of the Sect characters in advance, or fill in with an appropriate mentor figure that became Zeqing?

Also, I guess this is ambiguous, but I am not sure if that's not a teleport:
Classic Feudal authority is actually very weak. Are new clans usually much looser in the sense of authority and courtesy they expect out of their subordinates?
I'm curious how clans like the Bai and Cai end up developing into ultra rigid structures that demand obedience from their lessers.
Compared to the nascent Ling clan which has a founder that likely doesn't care about how deeply you bow or if you don't speak in formality.
