To be fair, I don't think anybody expected him to parry music. Next thing you know, there will be swordsmen that can parry the ground to negate fall damage.

I know the situation is urgent but I just miss seeing our family on screen. If this doesn't win we should vote for family the next oportunity.

Also cool fight! Really like the part where Liang He fucking the mist with his sword and parried her song. Admittedly underestimated his avoid, but eh, didn't change the inevitable outcome. Too bad we had to reveal CtE though (at least it's not the upgraded version)

I think we have time to visit our mortal family. Moreover it would make story better when next month we confront Zeqing armed with insights gained from our family.

well, worst case Hanyi gets eaten and Zeqing suicides afterwards. It would be a nice tragedy in a way. Might even make it into a song. At least it wont be the end of the quest.

More seriously, I think that 'the QM is too nice to do this' is not a good argument. We also got explicitly told that we are as prepared as we can be, so the only 'real' argument I hear for family is 'because I feel like it' and I dont feel that to be particularly convincing
 
I am very happy that we are able to deal with people at this level without the support of our little brother. So excited for when he wakes up and we can start really hammering everyone around us.

And how LQ can deal with Zeqing's problem when she just barely know what family means? She can't just beat Zeqing.

I am not saying that our QM is merciful, he isn't suicidal though.:evil:

My reasoning is fairly simple.
Assuming a worst case scenario where not picking the Zeqing option leads to Hanyi's death there is no reason to believe Zeqing hasn't already eaten her.
In that case picking this option out of Fomo is pointless.

Assuming Zeqing does not eat Hanyi there is still a problem, namely the chance we will be unable to deal with whatever problem comes when we are present. A better understanding of family is likely to help with that.

Consequently I prefer to choose the option which might help ensure success, rather than hope it will mitigate a failure we have no control over.

I also prefer interacting with Real!mom and would much rather we not add Hanyi to our already bloated Harem of spirits begging for screen time. So that certainly colors my rational.
