People, why are we even going in? Why not steal this and nuke it so hard with SOTD that the whole mountain spills in another direction?
We could "cut" a descending diagonal into the mountain, turning the rock to ash and channeling the boiling waters away.

So as far as I understand, we're sending the others back and telling Dany to plug any exits, especially towards the Valley. Meanwhile, we continue to stealth towards the very center of this place before nuking it with everything we have. I assume we'll be able to survive the ensuing heat and pressure, so for extra style points we can shift to TD and burst out of the smoking rubble of the mountain.

You know Viserys and Lya are both capable of casting it now, right?
I do, but it's better to not have to cast. This is along the lines of why we have our earrings for True Seeing, except made a lot more severe because rather than a Level 6 spell, Discern Location is Level 8. That spellslot needs to be reserved for battle.

EDIT: Also, if I'm not mistaken, for Viserys to cast it he'd have to spend a Mythic point.

I think we should grow that Weirwood to sacrifice the cave, if we just destroy it, the Others might be able to reclaim the power they put into it, and there's lots of Weirwoods beyond the wall already, one more don't change that we need to do something, to make sure they don't all get destroyed come Winter.

And it's not like we have ever researched moving Weirwood, we got told it wasn't as simple as uprooting them and moving them, and since then we just assumed they were there to stay.

Then we would have to grow the Weirwood, claim the power, protect the Weirwood and then start our geographic remodeling.

I'm sure we could figure it out, and this is a chance to hurt the Others, and buy favor with the old gods, and that's favor we can spend on various things, such as letting us be more lenient with loyal Seven supporters(yes killing problematic Seven supporters is best for that, but getting our supporters in the old gods, to yell their support harder than the Seven haters, is a valid strategy too)

A big part of that favor depends on protecting their weirwoods. Until we get confirmation that weirwoods grown Beyond the Wall much less right at the freaking edge of Other territory are safe then I'm against this.

As it stands, we neither have the time nor the resources to protect a weirwood this far north.

[X] Plan Geologic Redecoration Pt 1
-[X] Viserys Blood Wishes (using two 6th level spell slots) an Anticold Sphere, then uses his staff to Summon a Conspiracy of Ravens. He casts Searing Agonizing Mass Fire Shield on everyone, including the Ravens, then sends them ahead to act as his eye further into the cave to investigate the sobbing and any other peculiarities they might find.
-[X] Varys activates her Fortify Familiar, Enhance Familiar, and 10th level Venomfire items. She immediately warns Viserys if she detects anyone using Mindsight.
-[X] Dany casts Sign and Detect Secret Doors. She closely examines their surroundings using True Seeing, expending her Divine Insight charge if necessary to help understand what she sees.
-[X] Waymar casts Resist Energy(Cold) on Varys.
