Turns out music is a hell of a drug. Well, that and drugs are also drugs, who knew? Wonder what it looks like to outsiders when they see the results of Ling Qi's absurd Music Month™.

Huum, seems Meizhen still retains more popularity than looking at random people.

Better narrative for Ling Qi as she starts embracing her role, I think. The timing is excellent for such a pivot.

[X] Visiting Meizhen's new lodgings

Changed my mind. The snek is strong.

One thing that the new system makes much clearer than the old is how important it is for cultivators to have conflict and challenge. In the old system the occasional combat evolution to Arts was nice but usually didn't really change anything. Now, skills require narrative conflict (or at least effort), as seen here with the new scene's focus on Ling Qi's just-upgraded dodging abilities. The sort of internalization that we saw with Liao Zhu and now Ling Qi wasn't mechanically represented in the old combat evolution WoD-hack.
