@Questor Is this true, are our knights still unharmed and not fatigued?
According to the troop count at the end of the post our Knights are untouched.

That is even worse. We will lose most if not all our knights and the rest of our army will get even more butchered.
So if it ends the war here and now the losses will be astronomiclly less then if this war continues.

[X] Blow the Charges and Run!

Staying seems like a bad idea. If we stay and the roll for how much damage the avalanche does to the enemy is bad, we have exhausted soldiers, siege weapons with almost no ammunition and melee fighters against Sauron and his elite forces which probably still outnumber us and we can't even look at.

Remember these things? Yeah, those are coming for you now.

Nah son, Pappy didn't raise a sucker.

[X] Blow the Charges and Run!: You've destroyed the majority of the enemy force, but your forces are bloodied, exhausted and running low on ammo. And the worst of the enemy assault has yet to come. Blow the charges and have the Knights cover the retreat back to Lanner. You'll finish the enemy off when your forces are well rested and better supplied.

See ya on the flipside asshole!

@Questor
Can we rig the flamethrowers to explode after a time?

As far as I understand they are hard to move, so better to take out some more foes than leave them to Sombra.

No it clearly said in the update that defenders are outnumbering the attackerror now.

That is in raw numbers not elites which the remaining 15,000 are.

So if it ends the war here and now the losses will be astronomiclly less then if this war continues.

We will lose the majority of our troops trying to stop his elites with our current forces. We can win but would be in such a weakened position that we will be in danger for a long time not to mention the economic impact of all these deaths. If we pull back to the city we can better prepare our troops and save more lives. Like I said if Sombra wants to invade the Empire he will need to take the city. He can not leave a undefeated army to his back

So you are assuming that we will lose right away even if we are even now.

See above.

Better than wasting time trying to save them.
They are easier rebuild than knights, i hope.

Cheaper certainly. You have to grow a knight after all, we can build more of these things.

That being said it might be wiser to save them for the defenses. If what we saw was any indication these fuckheads hate fire in all its forms, and we're gonna need every ace in the hole we can scrounge if we want to build a credible defense against these things.

I believe a tactical repositioning to the rear is warranted.

Why do people choose run we have 3 knights fresh to fight. And this will be the only chance we have against him he underestimated us once we can be sure he will not do it again and we may never see a chance like this again. It has to end now.

Because while we DO have the knights, we also lost something like 20-30% of our troops, we're low on ammo and have yet to face the elites (which are probably as dangerous as everything else we faced combined.)

Once we finish our ammo we have something like 3.300 fresh knights + 35.000 VERY TIRED soldiers (of which 5.000 are archers, who presumably don't have that many arrows remaining.

And against us 15.000 elite soldiers, empowered by magic, a dozen elite chtulhu monsters that hurt us just by looking at them, and sombra.

We MIGHT win. But we'll get horrible losses even if we do.

They're better dealt with artillery and from as long a distance as possible.

Our best bet is to retreat, rest and restock. The knights will give us the needed time to escape, and maybe they'll verify how strong are these elite units in the fist place in the meanwhile
