Keep in mind, using it means the eternal enemity of all dragon kind.

Every CR, every alignment, every god...

All of it.

There's a lot of dragons out there dude.

2 of which are our vassals.

I am almost certain that if the hatred of it is instinctual, Viserys might not even be able to bring himself to do more than shove it into his cloak until he can get rid of it.

Fair. I am incredibly leery of the damn things.

It's just... So bad. So, so bad.

Even if it didn't probably work on Viserys.

Its a good thing we can actually trust yss to not enslave dragon kind. Lets let him eat it as a very very powerful artifact we're bound to get some neat stuff out of it.

And I'd like to resurrect the dragons as soon as possible. The sooner we have them and get them permanently out of the hands of the Lannisters, the better.

I vote against this. Can we not bother the legends of the past and make our own instead?

We have eggs to hatch, and we can get our dragon mounts from there.

Besides, who would you let ride Balerion? A newbie? It would have been better if we took all the dragon bones and used it as crafting materials, or trophys to deactivate the bones from being ressurected.

Any bronze or silver dragons in there or even gold? By the way we are going to divine these skulls right no one wants to summon some dragon to challenge viscerys.

This argument is getting increasingly annoying for me.

We could. They'd then take years to be viable for combat, much less riding. We don't have years.

1) Balerion likely won't even be able to be resurrected. IIRC he died of natural causes. 2) Valyrian Companions and such would get their pick of the larger dragons if they pleased, then we move down to baby adventurers, etc. For the ones that aren't being ridden, they'll just be bottled. 3) We couldn't take all the dragon bones. We're explicitly trying not to leave signs of Targaryen infiltration so the Inquisition has a chance at sneaking into the Red Keep.

Sorry dude, no dice. All Valyrian Dragons are actually Feral Red Dragons. Their colors are pure coincidence. Sunfyre, for example, was a beautiful golden color. He was still a Feral Red Dragon.

thats incredibly dissapointing but fair. If we ever do find some bronze, silver, or gold dragons though we should probably resurrect them if possible. Cause those would be some awesome fucking pc allies.

Balerion actually allegedly died of Valyrian Magic Radiation, actually, with GRRM's new Fire & Blood.

But that's beside the point.

@Goldfish mentioned keeping them as breeding stock, but unless we plan on keeping them locked up somewhere no one will reach them, having unbonded Dragons around is a capital B bad idea.

Resurrect them if you want, but have a rider ready for them.

It goes without saying they should be a loyalist or part of our inner circle.

I just want them resurrected then bottled until we select riders to tame them. The sooner they're resurrected the better, I don't trust the Lannisters or the Devils not to try this against us.

As for keeping them where no one will reach -- bottle, then cloak. Problem solved.

Word of DP goes...

Sure

On the dragon inheritance point, there is no such thing as a part-metallic. Dragon inheritance is more arcane than that. When two dragons of differing breeds come together their child is as much born of Tiamat the Many Hued and Bahamut the Platinum Dragon as they are of their own parents.

Thus the hatchling's inheritance will be split roughly so:
  1. 25% that it will be of the mother's kindred
  2. 25% that it will be of the father's kindred
  3. 50% that it will be any sort of dragon among all of those that have ever been.

What what the fuck THERES A CHANCE THEY COULD HAVE BRED FERAL SPACE DRAGONS!?!?!?!?

edit: So there is a non zero chance there is an actual Gold hiding under Sunfyres template.

Which would make Bahamuts job a fuckton easier...

That only applies to dragons of different races.
Since all Valyrians are Feral Reds, all their children will be Reds too.

@firefrog600 I'm guessing you weren't here/reading when we first met Relath? Lots of salt and dick measuring ensued.

People really didn't like having competition in the sentient dragon area.

I have to ask then.

Why are they different colors?

DP sort of answered this in the past already.

They wanted as many disassociation with Red Chromatic True Dragons as possible, from mutilating them (wyvern body-shape), lobotomizing them (feral template, going further, actually capping their intelligence quotient HARD), and even the color of their scales.

They're Reds, the other dragons like that Green were driven to the four corners of the world, where the Reds held dominion in the Volcanic mountainous Valyrian Peninsula. All those born of Valyrian descent are explicitly drawing Draconic lineage, if it awakens, from Red bloodlines.

We know this. We've known this for a long time.

Alright Ill axe this line of thought then.

Bloodwish. Like what we did to accelerate the minotaurs' growth where barely a year later, a young calf is articulate at the level of a six year old human. Dawnfyre and Emer are also pointd out by their riders to be rideable in a few months, noting that Valyrians bred dragons for war, that's why they have rapid growth and maturity.

But seeing as you're dead set in this, can we at least put up a vote on what to do with them instead of just deciding for the thread?

Oh besides all the stuff in the index guys should I read other stuff? Anything else thats needed. Cause I've just been rereading all the index stuff over and over every once in a while.

I never said we would be doing this without a vote, dude. I'm hardly deciding for the thread. If you intend to vote against this then feel free.
Isn't that one girls dragon growing up really fast though?

We Bloodwished fertility only, we never Bloodwished growth rate. And yes, the dragons are growing fast, but they're not growing fast enough. Six months and Dawnfyre still isn't quite big enough to ride. We don't have that sort of time to solely rely on new dragons to hatch and grow up. By then we'll be in the midst of conquest wars.

What is a dragon rider use.

Tactically I mean?

We have draken beasts now for close air support. So...

Heavier close air support?

Fighting the enemies big baddies mano E dragono?

Terror weapons?
