Basically, y'all aren't being paranoid enough, I told you guys Varys would have tricks and stuff. Mindblank is basically as tricky as you can get.

So what's our game plan here? What does it really change?
I'd say the gameplan doesn't change in broad terms, but we need a lot more firepower than planned to take out the spider.
So changes on the tactical level are unavoidable.

I think this is no longer a case for Azel to kidnap/kill him in the most efficient manner for our political and intrigue-game, this a is a case for Goldfish to succede in eliminating him at all.

For one thing, we should definitely go in under assumed disguises. Just in case one of his contingencies is to inform people who he might have tangled with.

Edit: That would also limit what kind of spells we can use. Obviously draconic/Valyrian ones might make it obvious.

Mindblank is really just great. So long as we throughly kill off any witnesses, we can take him out.
Fuck consequences, killing/capturing him is priority now.

I like it, but how do we fool Mammon et. al, not to mention Tiamat?

And it would take away a Hero Unit for the long term for sure, Varys is juggling too much for it not to.

We'd also have to take EVERYTHING, all his intelligence, all his reports, notes, drain his brain for codes and encryption, etc.

Varys is also a fanatic, so there's a good chance if he has a suicide method, it isn't a poison pill in a tooth. Too unreliable with what he knows of us for sure.

I would not be surprised if he has a nuke keyed up to go off the minute transmutation magic hits his back, destroying his body and probably another one set to go off simultaneously where he keeps his notes. If he doesn't just have perfect recall using a +6 intelligence item and remembers it all by heart.

An antimagic field would negate all the contingencies on his person. We would only need to remove all his magic items and then he is free to be mindraped by us.

Also, it is totally worth it to invest a hero unit here. We are talking about having an inside man in Mammon's and Tiamat's intelligence networks (not mentioning the Lannisters because we are way above their pay grade).

Also, I'm hereby restating my commitment to purge the name Lannister. Every single member of that family will either die or renounce that name and take up another one.

And Theon will rule Greyport, for maximum insult.

If we want the name forgotten the Greyjoys will care too much about that triumph for the Lannister name to die, you keep them alive through the Greyjoys victory in the rivalry.

I think it better to give it to someone who barely knows the name Lannister as it is so in a few generations it was "some family that betrayed the King" rather than "finally after centuries the Greyjoys triumphed over the Lannisters".

My full agreement. While I would love to capture him alive to have Tyene rummage through his skull, I'm perfectly happy with turning him into fine vapor now.

As I said, I don't want them forgotten. I want them reviled. The name Tywin Lannister will be a curse to be spoken at the vilest scum of the earth.

It's not really time for a combat plan. We just need to decide on who to send as backup.

[X] Viserys, along with Nuri, Vee, Xor, and Waymar will travel to King's Landing when contacted by Dany.

...I feel that this right here is going beyond Hubris.

Exposing him will be far more damaging than simply murdering him and leaving him behind.

We should ask B.Raven if he has any ideas for how to unearth an intelligence network...

Edit: exposing a member of the small council as a fiend binder would be political adamantium.

Do you really think we can't pull this off?

The only thing I'm worried about is who to send. Viserys would be perfect, but we need him for everything else.
Ah.
I'm sorry, I misunderstood your intention for trying to mindrape Varys into submission and then having him play 3 sides at a time.
Still, I kinda doubt the feasability, given that we need to actually catch him first.

I don't think that we actually need to smear shit in Robert's reputation. Not really.

We just need to keep Mammon and Tiamat occupied and not gathering more strength.
