I am highly opposed to selling it. That is a major strategic resource for us.
Give me a single way to utilize them in as near as 5-6 months.
Please.

Fungal Pods are for biological things, and these aren't as potent as Mammon's corpse anyway, so likely no Liquid Chaos from them.
Oathkeeper needs Lawful Evil bloods.
Making Trees is plain wasteful.

Getting in good graces with a Devil-Lord that has near to no influence on any places where our interests lie might just be a good way to spend these.
I mean, just as possibility to keep in mind.

With that particular resource I don't mind waiting decades before we find a good use for it.

Eww

Also, wearing metal on bare skin? Clearly you have never tried wearing a chainmail bikini.
These things chafe, pinch, and look ridiculous.

Edit: I have never bought a chainmail bikini. But I did make a chainmail shirt (well, it was a family thing really. Took ages) and for a while it was basically a bikini top/bottom (depending on how it was put together).
Horribly uncomfortable, and I am told by the actual armorsmith I talked to (one of the guys who does the game of thrones armor does period forging method reenactments in Ireland every year, and he took me on to work the bellows as a volunteer for a day in 2017!) that all chainmail bikinis are like that.

The 50% lighter weight makes it easier to fight in. If that wasn't the reasoning, then please explain to me why all the female Companions who wear armor all without exception have Mithral instead of Adamantine.
This is absurd.
So now you are insisting that women have -4Str or something?

Our male and female mystics will have identical stats. There will be no such issue.

And that is a good question. Why have we been giving our Companions subpar gear?

The main reason, IIRC, wasn't so much weight as availability. We had plenty of Mithral and no Adamantine.

Now they're all rocking +3 Glamered Mithral fullplate, so it's not quite so simple swapping them out.

@Azel I've further updated the roster for the Yi-Ti expedition.

-The Moonsong and crew (Moonsong, Theon, Asha, etc)
-The Queen Rhaella and crew (Diana, Lothos, various Leshy, six Advanced Druid Seaweed Leshy, Little Valyrians, etc)
-Two or three additional ships (types decided on by the professional sailors running the expedition)
-Two Advanced Druid Creature Lotus Leshy
-Three Erinyes
-Two Verdant Wolves
-Six Giant Fungal Darkenbeasts
-Two squads of six Minotaur Fighters
-Two sets of Elemental Wyrmlings (We have five sets now)
-Three dozen Lesser False Ravens for comprehensive scouting (We have several hundred now)
-Six Greater False Ravens for scouting, spying, and coordinating Lesser Ravens
-One 5th level Wizard, one 4th level Wizard, one 5th level Archivist, one 4th level Archivist.
-Breath Taker or Blight's Bane, and a contingent of Groton warriors. Maybe some traders, too?

This represents a good amount of firepower and spread of abilities. Lots of people who could gain experience along the way, too. Both ships, but especially the Queen Rhaella, have a huge crew capacity, so lots of mundane sailors can be included as well. If we send them off with a bunch of Raise from the Deep scrolls, they could salvage and crew ships along the way.

With the Tritons along, and Diana's ability to easily grant others underwater survival and movement abilities, they could also seek to establish diplomatic contact with other Triton settlements as they travel.

I really like the idea of this trip. It could last for several months. Lots of good interlude fodder, too!
And here's the expansion of the Alchemical production if you want to add it to your plan.
[] Plan Expanded Alchemical Production Facility
-[] Four new production facilities will be added to the Royce Alchemical Words of Sorcerer's Deep.
--[] Each facility costs 30,000 IM and requires a month to construct and equip, requires a minimum of 60 workers trained to perform their particular tasks, and a manager with a Craft(Alchemy) skill rank of 8 or higher. Four Hedge Mages will be tasked with managing the production facilities, with periods of work staggered so that each has six days off per month.
---[] Production Facility #9: Antiplague (1,800 per month)
---[] Production Facility #10: Explosive Packs (450 per month)
---[] Production Facility #11: Vermin Repellent (14,400 per month)
---[] Production Facility #12: Healing Salve (2,160 per month)
-[] Each worker will earn a wage of 7 IM per month and each Hedge Mage manager will earn a wage of 80 IM per month for a combined labor cost of 500 IM per production facility per month.
-[] Total Construction Cost: 120,000 IM

As I mentioned in my previous post, it was a matter of availability.

Of course, that isn't an issue now. We could replace their armor, but it wouldn't be an immediate fix, simply because we can't whip up three suits of +3 Glamered Adamantine fullplate.

I'm not insisting that they have an STR penalty, I'm going off of precedence. The Companions have access to the best gear in the Imperium. If they were wearing mithral, then I assumed there was good reason for it, so I just went from there.

If the Mithral in fact is not a superior choice, then by all means go for Adamantine for all the Mystics and Clerics and Archivists.

Almost two days, so let's call it 46 hours. 4 hours to sleep enough for two days so call it 42.

14 hours for various Ward things, 14 hours for Mom and Sister things, 14 hours for a date with Lya.

[X] Plan: Take A Break
-[X] You haven't had time to yourself in a long while, so let's spend it checking in and spending time with your wards and loved ones.
-[X] Over the course of the next two days check in and drop in on your various wards. What have they been up to? How are they doing? Anything you can help out with? You've been busy this past month so you haven't had all that much time to personally talk with them.
-[X] During the first day, spend time with your Mother and your Sister, maybe spend the day over in Sunspear to visit the whole family? With some luck, one of the Erinyes can find another Dream Protection item over in the Vault.
-[X] On the second day, scout the Basilisk Isles. Look for a nice spot on the mountains where the vegetation is sparse enough to have a good view on the jungle, the sea and the sunset. Use Plant Growth to prepare the location. Then have a great date with Lya.

  • [X] Plan The Women In His Life
    -[X] Day 1:
--[X] Scout the Basilisk Isles. Look for a nice spot on the mountains where the vegetation is sparse enough to have a good view on the jungle, the sea and the sunset. Use Plant Growth to prepare the location. Then have a great date with Lya.
    -[X] Day 2:
--[X] Spend time with Rhealla and Dany. Go out and have some fun in SD while disguised. Maybe add a short visit to the extended family in Sunspear.
[X] Spend uses of mythic power to summon devils that still walk upon Plane Material.
-[X] Usual M.O., target those belonging to one group at a time, don't leave miscellaneous devils around, etc.
--[X] If any devils are known to tangentially connect with operations on Plane Material but not be there themselves, target them also.
-[X] Aside from those, atempt to call upon Maelor's father, to give closure your close friend much needs.
-[X] Messy work done, take a short rest to restore Mythic Power uses, and then go with Lya back to ancient city of snake-people in Sothoryos.
--[X] Make sure to notify Riz'neth of the fact that eggs are safe in Sorcerer's Deep, and that the reason for mindlessness is likely to be hidden in the city itself.
--[X] Delve underneath the city, using appropriate building scheme, for methodical search for answers and history of that ancient place, something Lya is sure to enjoy
[X] Spend a day with some of your wards
-[X] all of them. Set up a nice playdate and indulge in their whims for a bit.

If the gear is replaced, I'm assuming within two months at earliest, we could pass the +3 Glamered Segmented Reinforced Mithral Fullplates down to baby adventurers.

Speaking from experience? :V
Yeah actually. Edited my post for details, read it again.

When I made this account I was vowing not to write anything my friends or family (or worse, coworkers/acquaintances) could use to recognize me, but there's no way any of them will ever slog through a thread this long :D

You don't lose the abilities by momentarily being unable to cast it, otherwise a wizard that runs out of spells of X level would lose his PrC features if he's exhausted.
Good point. I figured that by losing the domain you would lose the spell, but seeing as you do get the domain back in a few days max...
@DragonParadox? Does a Mystic who swaps out the Inquisition domain for 1 day/level with Domain Substitution lose their qualification for Church Inquisitor?

What are they supposed to do?
Goldfish asked for a sort of generalist. These guys are generic support with a few save-or-suck as they come online.
At level 6 they become dispelling machines, which is great!

Point. Taking it.
Will edit post as soon as DP replied to previous question.

- Dispel (because really everyone must have dispel if they can cast it, it's virtually a graduating requirement for the elite track)
They have Dispel, turn attempts, and Divine Defiance. And Inquisition domain +4. Things don't get much better at level 6 without special gear, really.

and is good, Enthrall is surprisingly smart for a crowd control scenario, of the literal sort, but that's a very niche spell, we can have scrolls made.
Remember how Hermetia used Enthrall to keep enemies pinned while armsmen arrived and brought cages/reinforcements/got into better positions?
That's the best use of Enthrall, IMO. Still seems so terrible? Or worth keeping?

Problem solved. @TalonofAnathrax, I've slotted in three suits of Glamered +3 Adamantine fullplate for Dany, Tyene, and Vee on this month's crafting schedule.

They'll get their new armor next month and Valaena, rather than getting a +2 suit, will inherit one of their +3 suits. Then we'll have two suits we can stick in the armory for baby adventurers.

Sample Mystic build and progression:
Mystic 1 - HP 9
STR 8 - DEX 10 - CON 12 - INT 14 - WIS 15 - CHA 13. Feats: Healing Devotion, Magical Training (cast as sorcerer, Prestidigitation, Message, Launch Item), Precocious Apprentice (Zone of Truth).
Flaw: Noncombatant

Non-human: No Diplomacy at level 1, then no Knowledge (arcana). Gain Flaw: Inattentive.
Skills: Max Concentration, Diplomacy, Knowledge (arcana), Knowledge (Religion), Spellcraft.

Special: Sun Domain: gain ability to turn undead as a Cleric.
Spells known: Detect Magic, Guidance, Create Water, Read Magic, Conviction, Resurgence

Advancement:
2nd: Learn Mending.
3rd: Enter Church Inquisitor Prestige class. Use extra skill points for Sense Motive and if non-human Diplomacy, otherwise Bluff. Gain the Inquisition domain (learn Detect Chaos, get +4 to Dispel). Learn Burning Disarm.
4th: +1 Wis. Get Heat Metal from Sun domain and Zone of Truth from Inquisition domain. Learn Substitute Domain and Purify Food and Drink. Retrain Practised Spellcaster into Expanded Arcana (Zone of Truth - to be able to Substitute away the Inquisition domain if needed).
5th: Learn Command, Divine Insight. Retrain Magical Training into Expanded Arcana (Enthrall).
6th: Take the Divine Defiance feat. Learn Dispel Magic and get Searing Light and Detect Thoughts from Domains). Retrain Expanded Arcana (Zone of Truth) into Expanded Arcana (Zone of Truth, Dark Way).

Combat gear: Reinforced Segmented Fullplate, Extreme Shield, Razor-Sharp Thinblade, two javelins, razorsharp dagger. Misc gear.

tl;dr: At level 1 they have decent healing through turn-fuelled Healing Devotion, and 1/day Zone of Truth. At level 4 they get excellent flexibility thanks to Substitute domain (which they can end whenever they want if they want their actual Domains back). At level 6 Divine Defiance makes them very useful in large land battles: they can spontaneously dispel enemy spells as a standard action!
They also have some social skills thank to Church Inquisitor and Divine Insight (so they could be decent as lawmen or Inquisition goons).
Thanks to Healing Devotion which auto-activates when they fall to 0HP or less, they're our toughest magelings by far!

Flaw Fluff matters so Inattentive Non-combatant Inquisitors and Lawmen might be a problem.

@DragonParadox? Does a Mystic who swaps out the Inquisition domain for 1 day/level with Domain Substitution lose their qualification for Church Inquisitor?

They would not lose access to the prestige class. Nothing short of re-training the prerequisites would do that.
