I would like to ask again what a Darkenbeast costs without any HD discounts.

I'm thinking about raising the long anticipated Darkenbeast Company next turn.

.. You know, I think I did, too.

If you meant Wormverse.

@edit: We got to vote.

yeah, I'm pretty sure it was called "Silver" too.

The one where silver dragon-bloded level-20 sorceress Taylor drops back at Bay and freezes Lung to death with a Polar Ray with some bonus damage on it?

Was kinda fun while it lasted.

Silver, by Cyclone, IIRC.

Yep.

Silver

I swear I've read a story before where a Silver Dragon pops into the Wyrmverse.

Yeah, the author named it without knowing. He is planning on changing it sometime soon but he hasn't gotten around to it yet.

I am okay with the Drakenbeast company... as long as we get collector leshies for the dead enemies and dead citizens. We are gonna have a lot more dead armies to make the research creature (if Pentos doesn't bitch out and actually fight).

...I'm kinda wondering how much a city-worth of shit would get us in HD now, seeing as MossForge can take in literally anything biological.

And you can bet there would be massive shutting inbound.

I imagine it wouldn't be worth much value. I mean the fungus leshy would love this shit (ha) but bodies and blood are far more effective as they are gods of blood and flesh.

Turning this place into a dark for sacrifices and Mercury is a great plan. I've no idea how to going about doing so, though.

Well its a 5 HD creature so if you want to pay in corpses 15 HD and if you ant to pay in gold 900 IM.

@Azel I would suggest waiting on the drakenbeast horde till after we get sonic weapons on them.

Edit: I retract my statement. Poison spores sound even better. Chemical warfare is a go.

We aren't currently researching that, and probably won't for a long, long time given our other priorities.

The Darkenbeasts are ready for production. I even talked DP into letting them have a poison spore breath weapon.
Giant Fungal Darkenbeast (CR 6)
Size/Type:
Large Plant (Augmented)
Alignment: Neutral
Initiative: +4
Senses: Darkvision 60 ft., Low-light Vision, Listen +2, and Spot +2
AC: 17 (-1 Size, +8 natural), touch 9, flat-footed 17
Hit Dice: 5d8+35 (58 hp)
Fort +13, Ref +4, Will +1
Speed: 5 ft., fly 30 ft. (poor)
Space: 10 ft./10 ft.
Base Attack +5; Grapple +18
Attack: 2 Claws +14 melee, Bite +9 melee
Full Attack: 2 Claws +14 melee, Bite +9 melee
Damage: Claws 1d6+9, bite 1d8+4
Abilities: Str 28, Dex 11, Con 24, Int 2, Wis 11, Cha 4
Special Qualities: Immunities, SR 15
Feats: Great Fortitude, Improved Initiative
Skills: Hide +2, Listen +2, Move Silently +2, and Spot +2

Immunities (Ex): Fungal Darkenbeasts are immune to mind-effecting affects (Charms, Compulsions, Morale effects, Patterns, and Phantasms), Paralysis, Poison, Polymorph, Sleep, and Stun. They are also Immune to Disease.

Poison Spore Cloud (Ex): Once per day, a Fungal Darkenbeast can exhale a choking cloud of spores in a 30-foot cone that lingers in the air for 10 rounds. This cloud functions as an inhaled poison. Any breathing creature in the cloud must succeed at a Fortitude save or inhale the spores. A creature that remains in the area of the spore cloud must continue to attempt Fortitude saves against its effects. Multiple spore clouds from multiple Fungal Creatures require multiple saves from any creature in an area where the clouds overlap.
  • Fungal Spores: Poison—inhaled; save Fort DC 19; frequency 1/round for 6 rounds; effect 1d2 Condamage and fatigued for 1 minute; cure 2 saves.
Poisonous Blood (Ex): A Fungal Darkenbeast's blood and flesh are ingested poisons. Any creature that makes a bite attack against a Fungal Darkenbeast, swallows one whole, or otherwise ingests part of one must succeed at a Fortitude save or be afflicted by the poison.
  • A Fungal Darkenbeast's blood can be used as an ingested poison that functions as described above. However, its blood has a distinctive and largely unwelcome smell and taste, so most intelligent creatures would refuse to eat food tainted with it unless the taste was thoroughly disguised (which requires a successful DC 15 Profession [cook] check). The Fungal Darkenbeast must suffer at least 1 point of damage to get a full dose of poison, and the drawn blood (or amputated flesh) retains its poisonous nature for only 24 hours unless additional living fungal blood is mixed into it.
  • Fungal Blood or Flesh: Poison—ingested; save FortDC 19; frequency 1/minute for 6 minutes; effect 1 Str damage, 1 Dex damage, and nauseated for 1 minute; cure 2 saves.
Fungal Metabolism (Ex): Fungal Darkenbeasts breathe, but they do not eat or sleep in the typical manner

Just as soon as they realize that the entirety of Western Essos has just become Viserysland.

Well, not yet. We haven't made any overtures to three Free Cities thus far. And there's Ibben we've only barely branched into Trade connections with. Then there's Saath and Sallosh and Omber to think about.

We also are a far way away from securing Slaver's Bay/Ghis and Qarth.

For the steam cannons? I dont remember unlocking the gunpowder tech.

Gunnery for the Steam Cannons, yes.

Yeah, @DragonParadox. When's the rumor post? I want reactions West and East, like after we conquered Tyrosh.
It's most likely happening at the beginning of next month. It needs a bit of time for the information to spread and everyone to start panicking.

What I want to see is everyone's faces when they realize that Braavos and Volantis, the two most powerful cities, one of whom which could have conceivably been our rival in empire-building, have both sworn themselves to us.

Slaver's Bay is only a matter of time. They are severely outclassed.
