Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Hmm. Now I'm wondering if we can somehow trick Sun Liling into signing sparring paperwork with us.
Sun Liling: Free chances to beat up Ling Qi without getting in trouble? And make her pay her own medical bills? Pissing off Bai Meizhen in the process? Where do I sign?!

The trick isn't getting Liling to sign the paperwork. It's avoiding spending the following several months in hospital.

There's plenty of time for that to come around, I think it's been about 5 weeks or so since year start, right?
There has been, but we have no real indications about her personality beyond a stereotype. Which is why I haven't been willing to write an omake from her perspective, yet and I imagine it's the same for other people.

Yeah, I had some ideas about writing a version of the Bai-Bai-Ling scene from her perspective, but we just don't have enough clues on her yet.

She needs to hurry up and get them Sect Points so we can teach her stuff.

Meizhen thought from her first read of SCS that a master of it would be able to give good perspectives on the Bai's Water-Darkness movement arts, so I was hoping we'd be able to manage it before her first lesson, but we're going to be blocked for a while unable to cultivate it while waiting for Bronze Appraisal.

Xiao will likely have the points for tutoring around turn 4-6, and that's going to be pushing it for SCS mastery even with the physical cultivation windfall we just found in Grove of 33.

I'm kinda thinking that the difference between the fang a hide is what kind of animal he turns us into to be part of the wild hunt
Fang turns us into a predator
Hide turns us into prey
So what is our predator spirit animal? Snake? Mountain cat? Tiger? Raven

What is our prey spirit animal?
Deer? Turtle? Etc...

That's the feeling I got could be wrong

Actually :D we are plausibly capable of getting Appraisal Bronze month 3 and so finish SCS turn four. I expect Xiao to come to Ling Qi in the beginning of month four though. She isn't going to be lax in her efforts to get sect points.

Depends if we lose any time from this dream.

I wasn't following the math for a bit, but I guess it's possible, especially if we decide to do something crazy like milk Grove of 33 with AE(I think that's only blocked by Spir and not phys, right) and ASt next turn.

Edit: oh, nevermind, read the backlog on the math discord, yeah, we got that.

Unwavering Discipline Pill: For each AP spent training arts add 25 successes to Physical Cultivation

The idea being floated involves using that pill and training Physical 4x and Arts 16x.

We definitely don't need AS to do it. The plans I've seen involve PLR, TRF, CDE, FVM and FSS and ENM. And the rare pill DeAnno mentioned.

Plus there's the Grove to consider, which adds more to it.

I don't think I can handle any more event crit rolls. Just way too stressful. I'd be perfectly happy to get out of this with some minor reward at this point, as the fear of negative consequences is making the whole thing feel more like an elaborate trap than a valuable opportunity.

"Nobody cares about nor remembers Huang Da though, especially not me."

Sadface.

I miss you, Huang Da. You were such a better antagonist than Liling ever was, conveying a stronger sense of threat, and thematically embodying how cultivators use their power to bulldoze past the mortals beneath them, either for power or for their own whims (and the fact that he hits Qi's buttons in how he pushes his physical/romantic interest in her using his own superior power). His fight is one of the highlights of the first thread, and I will always regret how his narrative presence gradually sputtered into nothing in order to make way for Liling.

I can't really understand this opinion about crit event rolls.

I was under the impression that PLR and TRF were locked by Bronze Appraisal. Aside from those two on that list, the only one that would proc Go33 is ENM.

Depends how loose Yrs is playing with the rules for Xiao Fen.

Technically, she can't begin to get sect points before the first week of turn 4, and she'd need 30 sect points to get the tutoring, which at this point should be 2~ actions for her. So second/third week at the earliest for the tutoring, depending on whether she goes full hog on jobs first week.

I thought the sect mission board opened earlier than that?

It's more a comment about this one. These past few votes have been more stressful than any of the previous votes, threatening larger negative consequences than we've faced from those past choices. That isn't really mollified by the promise of potentially great rewards (which is implied by the fact that this is a crit event), it's still stressful and I keep thinking about how I'd probably be enjoying these updates/votes more if we didn't encounter it. Seeing the final resolution and aftermath of this mini-arc might alleviate this a lot, especially if things turn out alright.

Wasn't the art she referred to the one she was personally given by Suzhen? Even if not, kinda expecting Xiao peeps to be using different arts from the main branch.
