Oh well, suppose I never had a chance anyway.

Yeah, but the thing is, some of her arguments were so thin you could read a newspaper through them, but they came in the beginning of the chapter and we had no choice but to take the hit.I can and will come up with arguments for Viserys myself as needed, depending on the rolls, though granted they will not have the bonuses from being write-ins.
Good night guys, see you all in the morning.

Fey being uninclined to live in a keep?
We got a minor Fey who is now a pirate captain and a Dryad that is also a ship at the table. The Bulabar love their engineering guild. Glyra? If we told her to stay in a forest, she might literally die from boredom.
Her whole thing about "indulging" at the beginning of this chapter? Her "grand vision"?
Garbage. The whole lot of it. We could run circles around her with the ammo she gave us, but alas, the discussion has already moved on and we got no chance to do so.
Let the thread nominate a champion who then handles the discussion in a 1 on 1.Hmm... point. The only solution that might work is if I had an IC discussion in the thread with you guys doing a mini-vote on each reply and that would be both awkward to do (especially with limited time as is the case now) and troublesome in terms of integrating the narrative. I think this may be one of those cases where we have to steam on ahead with an imperfect solution, though if you guys have any suggestions on how to improve things I'll be more than happy to consider them.
I'm pretty sure the tally isn't bilingual.

I'd be in support of this. I'd rather have this arrangement and actually have a chance at calling the fey out on her bullshit. Otherwise we're more or less stuck with the conversation going past us and unable to properly react to it.Let the thread nominate a champion who then handles the discussion in a 1 on 1.
Seriously the only thing I can think of that would get the both the necessary granularity and work at a sane speed.
I'm not saying that I want this, but I do want to toss the idea out there.

It's mainly just for this particular debate. It's not often an issue like this comes up in the first place. That would certainly work but I'm afraid the precedent will make engagement with the thread harder. There's already a sense of disconnect on certain complex plans and I don't want to encourage the tendency. Still if enough people feel this is a workable solution I'm willing to try.
One solution is to create a discord for this story and invite people to hang out there when you are writing an update. This way, if you ever come to a moment where you think the players might want Viserys to say/do x,y, or z, you can ask the followers there for suggestions. It limits time a lot less then mini-votes, and as it's just suggestions and not a vote you don't actually have to incorporate any of it, it's just inspiration.
This wouldn't be used to decide a matter so heavy as to support a vote, but if, say, there's a conversation just like the one people are commenting on and the other party says something at the start of the update that we probably wouldn't be able to respong to next turn that's not heavy enough to require a vote but still something we could potentially respond to in a manner that makes an actual difference, you can be like "anyone thinks Viserys should say anything here" and, if suggestion are reasonable and do not go against the spirit of the vote and not something so important as to require a vote for it, you can incorporate something along those lines.
You can also use it for, i don't know, mid battle stuff that's not important enough for a vote. Middle of a turn, plan's already been decided, Viserys is attacking x group but can't hit them all at once, which member does he strike first?
Just a demon spy trying to get a rise out of you. Don't bother
It certainly feels to me like that's a necessary thing when debates are high-stake. Like right now. That would certainly work but I'm afraid the precedent will make engagement with the thread harder. There's already a sense of disconnect on certain complex plans and I don't want to encourage the tendency. Still if enough people feel this is a workable solution I'm willing to try.
I'm not really in support of creating a discord for the quest. Discussion would inevitably shift away from the thread, and that's not a good thing.Honestly I think the discord thing could work. I know quest writers have done similarly in the past with success. Just post some of your update in the discord as you write it with the understanding that its not the final version of the update, and they can post suggestions on what Viserys might do. Nothing you have to follow, but just a way to keep the voters will in mind without having to do anything as official and with such a long wait time as a vote.
I don't mind the current system usually, but this whole time, the fey has been acting against her stated motivation. We hold all the power in this situation; so if she wants the crown, she should be approaching this as a supplicant. Not pissing off the Dragon should be her number one priority here. Instead, she ignores our arguments, avoids answering our questions, and seems to care more about the opinion of the Reachers than the sorcerer who could wipe everyone here out with a single spell. It makes no sense for her to do this.Hmm... point. Or Mace made or facilitated the bargain on behalf of Paxter, as a way to cement loyalty.Shot in the dark. It seems exceedingly likely that Paxter is here as the result of honoring a bargain that he struck for the life of his son. This should either get a telling reaction from Paxter or a nice rise out of our Fey problem.
Very unlikely to yield anything,Let us 'negotiate' one last time then. What is it that you want in return for troubling my subjects no longer and letting them carry out their task to claim this crown in my name?"
Russian shaw beat the tally until it is.
She is supposed to be a subordinate to the lord of the court. If she was completely unable to bow her head to anyone, then she could never be part of another's court at all.Perhaps it is not in her character to be a supplicant.
Anyway good night again guys. I certainly won't be making any systemic decisions when half-asleep.
FTFYPutting it one way, this Fey was so fucking particularly bad that I would get back into actually playing this quest
I agree with that too, @Azel.@Azel I'm kind of leery of offering her another shot at negotiations.
Pretty sure she's just going to mock us for it, since she has been doing this so far.
