Man, our TD AC is hilariously high.

An actually equipped dragon is truly awesome to behold. We should make Amy and Relath Monk's Belts too.

Anyway, votes?

I see absolutely zero reason to let the Tyrells claim a probably artifact crown.

That thing is ours and the Redwyne ships too if they are uppity about this.
We aren't there, we don't know about this IC, we will just have to see what deal is hashed out, we have no influence on this at the moment.

Edit apparently we will get to decide what to do, I didn't expect that.

@Crake, you know what's great about Tyrells? They love gardening! Maybe we can bond over shared interests?
They should us a Mindrape flower pollen, we sacrifice them to the Old Gods...
It's all fun and games in Highgarden!

If you guys want to grab that crown then you will have time. Lothos will use a sending stone to tell you about the Tyrell ships before he moves to any proper negotiations.
In that case I say we grab everything, we are kind of at war with Westeros, and the Tyrells haven't sent us any indication, that they will be on our side when we invade.

My problem was more with taking it after they got it, in case they decided to support us during the reclamation, would be awkward for them to support us, only for us to turn around, and take one of the Reachs greatest treasures from them, taking it before they ever get it however, that I can get behind.

My concern was more that I thought Lothos would negotiate with them himself, and if he agreed to let them have the crown, then it would be awkward to take it away from them later.

<dragon shape> - <illusionary disguise to look like a water dragon> - teleport above the wreck, make sure to be seen by the Tyrells - dive into the sea - float ship - make sure to be seen again - teleport

There I agree with you, which is why I would have been rather cross with Lothos if he had done so.

Mind you though, we could still have demanded the crown as part of their oath of fealty if they had sworn to us later. No need to ally first and then claim it later. It would even mirror the deal that Aegon offered to the defeated kings. Fealty and forfeiting their crowns.

I would have felt that awkward, because they would have had the crown for some time, yet not have tried to claim royalty, proving that they weren't using it as a symbol of royalty, but at most as a symbol of legitimacy as Lord Paramounts.

Of course unless they planned to use the crown in a plot to gain independence from the Iron Throne, in that case it wouldn't have been awkward at all.

Doesn't matter. Just because they didn't pull this stunt on Robert doesn't mean they should keep the necessary tool to pull it on us.

Especially as it's the fucking Tyrells we are talking about. They need a short leash to not get weird ideas.

A crown is a crown no matter what they would have used it for. Leaving something like that outside our control is a bad decision.
Tyrells willingly deal with Fey without being in a position of overwhelming power/debt. Madmen.
They clearly can't be trusted to be Lords Paramount.
Also this.

I'm pretty sure the Tyrells have already bargained away more than they could ever repay.

Which is why I'm glad we can grab it before they get it, that way we aren't taking it away from them after they ally with us, we took it before we became allies.

It would be nothing short of hilarious if they used the crown to rebel and then immediately swear an oath to us. Breaks our plans hard but hilarious.

Honestly, it would be so much easier to redraw a few of the Westerosi borders with the Tyrells fighting against us.

If they ended up with the crown, giving it up would have been a condition for becoming our allies.

Agreed, the kinds of concessions we can extract from them for standing against us is something I'm really hoping for.

Not necessarily.

But if it's a genuine crown with an actual history behind it? Or if it's clearly meant to serve as a crown? Then no, whoever wants it can't have it, that's ours.
...I almost don't want to ask.

What is the plan for getting them from the far Kings and queens?

Cause I think they might actually die if they give those up.
