Nope. They care if we personally break their strictures. We're not under guest right, and we're not kin to Corbray, so pretty much anything we do to him and/or make him do is fair game.

The fire elemental that hunted the Others cleric was targeted at her as she broke the curse on the rakasha. If we (knowingly, magically) force someone to kill their kin, would the responsibility not lie at our feet?

This is, to me, a metaphysics question, so I'd like to ask @DragonParadox if Viserys thinks the OG would be pissed at Viserys if we make Grafton kill his brother?

Edit: though, using one brother to kill the other could well indeed as one being made a murder tool by Viserys.

The Grafton had no choice to kill his bro and Viserys is not kin to them. So either could be possible *shrugs*

Edit: I like Imperium btw

I've just always thought it sounds a hell of a lot cooler than Emperor, just like Imperium sounds cooler than Empire. Besides, we've been using bastardized latin for a while now as a stand-in for Valyrian, so it's really not as OOC as you believe.
Yeah, but the whole point of calling ourselves Imperator would be to avoid Aurion's legacy, which wouldn't make any sense since he would have spoken High Valaryian.

I'd certainly be curious to know. But honestly, even if some of the Old Gods are angry... we feed them enough that those dissenting voices are silenced.

In the end my main thing is that Emperor doesn't sound as cool, and that Imperator fits more neatly with the Imperium. I like it a lot more. We'll just have to agree on a difference of opinion.

[X] Plan Prophetic Dream
-[X] Let Dany enter Lord Gerold Graftons dreams and give him a 'prophetic vision', using a mix of her powers and his mind filling in the blanks to craft the dream. She also uses a dreamcast Nightmare to enhance the experience or alternative aquires the Telepath template and casts it as a SLA, in case that generates less disruption to the dreamscape.
--[X] She approaches him as a valet, telling him that there is a guest for him and leads him through his keep.
--[X] As they walk, add sounds and smells as if Gulltown was burning around the keep.
--[X] First Meeting: Some men-at-arms with seven pointed stars carved into their forehead and drenched in gore. They report happily that the uprising is being beaten down and that they have begun to execute the faithless in large numbers as he had ordered. If he looks out of the windows, he will see his men cutting down women and children before tossing their bodies into the bay. Before he can dwell too much on that, Dany ushers him on. She stresses that his guest, a man called Dywen, is waiting and that he should really meet him. She also subtly casts Unconscious Agenda at this point, to ensure that he will receive Dywen when he comes. // This is a reference to his ancestor King Gerold Grafton beating down an uprising during the Andal Invasion. This is exactly what he did.
--[X] Second Meeting: Lyn Corbray approaches him on the way, babbling excitedly about being knighted and the glory that is to come. He too has a Seven Pointed Star carved into his forehead. He then urges Grafton to come to his throne room, to meet their liege. Dany stresses again that he should meet Dywen (trying to cast Unconscious Agenda again if it failed for some reason the first time), but relents when Corbray insists that this can be delayed.
--[X] Third Meeting: In the throne room, Robert Baratheon sits on the throne of Gulltown. At his feet, the headless corpses of multiple knights in Grafton livery and around him, on spears erected around the throne, their severed heads. Among them the head of Marq Grafton, his father, who was slain by Robert. Corbray immediately kneels before Robert and is rewarded for the showing of supplication by being given a hand full of coins bearing the Seven Pointed Star. // Again, referencing real events, though a lot more embellished this time.
--[X] Robert then addresses Grafton, asking him to kneel before his rightful king. When he refuses, Robert will give him some of the coin as a bribe, though now the Seven Pointed Star is replaced by the Laughing Devil of Mammon. If he still refuses, the men-at-arms and Corbray will restrain him and force him to kneel, stating that the gods willed it that he kneels.
--[X] Dany repeats one last time that Grafton should receive Dywen, then collapses the dream.
-[X] While Dany dreams, the knights guard her. Tyene and Viserys meanwhile scry & die the missing bodyparts of Thoros to ensure that the Devils can't strike at him. Corbray is off limits though.
-[X] The next day, Viserys, disguised to look like a begging brother, will approach the keep of Gulltown and state his name as Dywen. He will claim to know something about the ambush and that he wishes to speak with Lord Grafton in private to reveal said knowledge.
--[X] Hide Dark Sister in your cloak and disguise the Weirwood Staff as simple oak.
--[X] Take a few of the coins along that the Brachina dropped.
--[X] Gauge his reaction and plan the further approach.

I think this got a bit away from me. Though I'm kinda trying to do the work of months in a day, so...

Dany should still be in her Telepath template at this point, @Azel.

That means she has Nightmare as a SLA she can use. Seems like it would be a helpful addition to your plan.

On a side note:
The time is approaching to outright hire Blight's Bane.

I want him and his tribe fully stationed in the waters of Sorcerer's Deep, and I want him to train us an aquatic army. We need NPC support when the time comes to start hunting Deep Ones.

Like... this can be a minor action, honestly. Summon him via Sending. Make the recruitment pitch. Give him a Healing Belt and a Ring of PfE.

[X] Azel

Did anyone else start laughing uncontrollably when they read this? Dear God I love this quest.
It's rather flattering that my sales-pitch to Yrael is considered a quintessential Viserys quote.
I ended up using your ending zinger as the quote. To be fair it was half because I couldn't be assed to root through the quest trying to remember other great lines but it was a really good one.

@Azel, while I love your plan I'm pretty sure there's still time in the day we can use. Shouldn't we be hunting down the rest of the devils and Ser Lyn before they can ruin anything else and the situation gets out of control?

I have to agree with this. @Azel, I don't see why we couldn't just scry-and-die whatever devils are holding Thoros' body parts while Dany takes care of the dreaming. We might as well multi-task and loot some more.

She can just dreamcast Nightmare, so no need to template first, but adding the spell.
Doesn't casting our spells/SLAs cause less "noise" than Dreamcasting?

We can hook him up with a Healing Belt right away, but a Ring of PfE will have to wait until at least a short way into next month.

I was kind of hoping he and a cadre of Triton warriors might be interested in accompanying the Awakened Queen Rhaella on its maiden voyage.

Fair enough on the PfE item.

Also, this is a fantastic arrangement. He and any Tritons he choses to train will get plenty of XP following her around. We'll be in good shape for the coming apocalypse with our own aquatic kill squad.

Point, but Corbray is off limits. We need him as the target to steer Grafton against. I would honestly like to invest some time and effort into Grafton if the meeting looks promising.

The optimal endgame for this is that we keep whispering in Graftons ear and/or dreams, erode his faith enough to flip him to the Old Gods and then convince him to punish the vile Devil worshiper Corbray by sacrificing him to the Old Gods.

That is how you settle a score.
