We already did that, and are about to deliver a second warning from Thoros hand after the Next action.
Do not fall for this trap.

Ok, mate. We are 200' away from her, under Mind Blank. She has no means to find us. At all. Seriously, there is no point in setting up a trap if you don't follow through on laying the bait.

So okay, France hasn't done so well in wars lately. And yes, it's been due to some really stupid decision-making. But at least we didn't lose to Vietnamese farmers when we had more bombs than they had people! If even the Americans suck at war, we deserve a pass for that!
And who even cares about war, really? Now that we have nukes, all that really matters is how cool your military parades are (answer: very), how fantastic your national anthem is (answer: HELL YEAH) and how good your army is at flying into the desert somewhere and getting into "wars" against "terrorist groups" that just so happen to support our economic interests. We aren't quite as enthusiastic as the americans are about that (hence why the Gulf War "surrender-monkey" propaganda thing exists) but we have been committing our own dubiously ethical military interventions in Lybia and Mali and whatnot!
That's a thing to be proud of, right? Just like how good the French army was when it came to fighting against decolonization?
And that's just it lately, France might have used to be great, but all those people who can take credit for that are long dead, what have France accomplished in the last hundred years you can be proud of.

Your ancestors might not be surrender monkeys, but your current generation seem to be.:p

(As a Danish person, I can proudly say that within the last century we have invented legos, become the best in the world, when it comes to finding and efficiently using groundwater, to the point that our scientists are hired to help with water shortage problems, have pioneered Windmill production, and for quite a long time, were number 1 on the list of the happiest countries in the world, we lost that place but we are still in the top 10, so Denmarks current people can be proud of what they have done, what can France be proud of their current people doing?)

200' isn't much though. In her turn she could easily fly into True Seeing range (and she has that active) and see us.

She is stalling for something, whether or not that represents a threat does not diminish the fact that its a trap.
We gain nothing from engaging in dialogue.

You know what we haven't used in ages? Dany's dream abilities.

We can visit Lannas dreams and show her that this is an ember, not a pyre

But why?
"Viserys, remember that horrible nightmare that almost left you a shivering wreck, dreading the thought of ever using fire again? We should use It to Teach Lanna a lesson!"
....
"It sounded better in my head"

While I am really tempted to go with that final message Snowfire suggested what stops me is that Lanna spoke in Draconic.
Replying to her or even implying that we know what she said feels far too much like giving her a clue as to who we are when we have gone through so much work to keep our identity in this hidden.

Viserys has serious daddy issues. It doesn't help that a good few of his hardest challenges involve cleaning up his father's various messes.

Now that isn't to say she isn't full of bullshit, she certainly is, but whenever someone brings up Viserys' idiot father (even hypothetically) he tends to assume the worst, because often he's underestimating the scale of the fuck up.

Everyone knows Draconic.

You did kill potential innocents, just for being alchemists, or more specifically just for being in the guildhouse at the time.
We destroyed the facility that had produced the terror weapon that killed 500 innocents in SD and that was in the process of building doomsday weapons for Baator. The same facility that had knowingly carried out a madmans plan to kill millions.

In a surgical strike that prevented any losses among the civilian population.

We are way past the point where you can call anyone in that guild innocent.

  • [X] Leave, you've done your part and said what needed to be said
-[X] Begin arrangements at once to rescue Thoros' friend enthralled in the Vale

-[X] Cast Message on her and Gerion and tell them the following:
-[X] "If you look to those who yet live clad in those robes, and who practice a craft that would have seen this city burn, you will find the guilt we spoke of."
-[X] Leave and begin arrangements to rescue Thoros' friend enthralled in the Vale.

Well, when one of the instruments of one's craft is hellfire, I think it's ok to judge a bit. When one's instrument involves releasing fiends on the world, it's ok to judge a lot.

@das_slash I think waiting for Thoros to talk to Bobby is a bad idea when we can point someone who is apparently unaware of the devils in their direction.

Just like bombing one of those towns that make planes.
That we can justify It does not make It any less of a slaughter of innocents.

+1 for a month of downtime. It would be appreciated for all our efforts, plus, we could finally devote some serious time tp designing our transplanar Imperial Navy.

Narratively speaking, it would also provide some much needed rest, we've been at a breakneck pace since... well actually I cant remember!

Would be nice to have a few more Viserys-Lya character pieces too. Maybe a few days just getting to rediscover SD. I miss the days when we randomly popped up in various locales of the city and speechified or just had a good time with our subjects.

How about a "King's Picnic". An infornal event where Viserys, Lya and Dany take brunch/lunch in the main park near the godswood and all subjects are invited to hang out?

The thing is there could have been civilians in there, smallfolk just trying to survive and you killed them with wildfire. That said Viserys did come out of this resolved if saddened. He still thinks he did the right thing in the end.

I agree with the spirit of your reasoning, but there's probably some nobles or rich merchants buying stuff there. Basically, Lanna seems to lack context for why this was best option

Should we use the wayfinder to see if there is a pleasure devil or two to scoop.
Also @Snowfire, maybe increase our range from her?

And that person should not be the one responsible for a terrorist attack, standing amidst the still burning wreckage of the people he is laying the blame on.
We already blamed the Devils, they are already going to be investigating if they are going to do It at all.
We are just repeating the last message with slightly different wording. That makes them look less guilty, not more.
