Would it be a good idea to split surveillance? Have Viserys spy on Lanna and the others look out for more devils?

Does anyone know any magics to allow one to listen from far away?

Obviously divine insight or that shadow buff spell, but those are one check each.

Anything more long-term, rounds or minutes oer level?
 
She's a fairly reasonable PC in the employ of our enemies, who has expressed dislike toward her employer, the Absolute Twat himself.

Dude, we are not going to invade westeros for months or more. Once Lanna is removed from the board, the butcher is going to start looking for alternatives, and I am sure Mammon will be quite willing to lend a hand.

To be honest, I'm considering a Social VoteTM​ to start laying the seeds of the conversion process, if people are interested in engaging with her right now. Again, from the interludes and our own IC knowledge, she seems one of the more reasonable people on the opposite side. Informing her of the massive devil conspiracy that was under her nose and that has now been taken care of can't hurt. We also have a range of 260' with Message, and the spell can go around buildings and the like so we don't even need to keep line of sight after casting it. Just stay in range.

Given what we just handled for them, I don't see a reason not to elaborate a little.
 
Long term I want to turn Lanna, since the reward for a good shoveler is a bigger shovel and boy is there shit to shovel.

For style I do want to message her, but I can't really come up with other reasons. She's gonna suspect anyway since casters that can cast Forbiddance don't exactly grow on trees.

And you are willing to throw this away just at first sight of a "shiny" person-loot here?

She is our enemy.

She will do her damnest to make our life worse, remembers how she almost got in Shadow Tower and is actively seeking out Warlocks of Quarth just to kill us off.

We have devils to take care of.

Every second we waste, they get to be assholes and leave us without further loot/sacrifices.

This is a golden opportunity to remove Lanna from play and have it blamed on Devils.

Or just have it be a mystery.

Lanna seems like a inherently decent and intelligent person. I think just telling her that while Tywin Lannister's death will be inevitable, we're not set on exterminating them all will give dividends. Use our diplomancy to come off as charming, reasonable, and above all powerful, and we'll be planting seeds for a future encounter.

I could see a Lanna interlude that happens with a vote: "Does something else happen?"

Where we'd vote on how Viserys would engage her after a brief while of spying, no point in engaging while she is desperately running.

She's doing her job, but hasn't managed to harm us yet and has refused to try and go against Dany.

Which would be a smart choice anyway, but she propably doesn't know that, so it's a moral one.
 
This is amazing and I love it.
We just instantly created a deep sinkhole and set everything on fire, before whipping up some nice cinematic winds all around it and flying up over the devastation. Being invisible spoils the show IC, but we readers can appreciate it!

And then you throw Lanna at us to tempt us into ruining our cover. Fling the shiny at us and watch the tread go wild!

@thread I am in favor of either kidnapping and bottling her right now where she stands, or leaving and communicating with her another day.
We know that she's in KL, we can come back tomorrow "to investigate the disaster" and make contact with her then. She won't be leaving KL, she has a crisis to deal with.

I think you'll find that she told Tywin to fuck right off when he tried to make her do that, especially as the target he wanted to hit was Dany. That wins her quite a few points in my book. Not everyone is Enemy or Ally, there's grey area to work with. Right now she's doing her job and that job forces her into the enemy camp, even when she knows she's horrendously outclassed. I'd like to start the process of making it very clear to her, at least, that we're just not interested in playing the games her master keeps on throwing at us when there are far larger problems to handle. Possibly make a point of how we dealt with this entire problem in a day.

She's not doing the job she's meant to be doing, and if we hadn't acted, King's Landing might have been on fire a few days from now.

Anyway, looks like we've got some interest in a social vote, so I'll get on that. Gimme a bit.

Ah. Sorry. I misunderstood. I assumed you were supporting killing her right this instant.

Anyway, this is a relatively good time to do some diplomancing, she has just seen us completely obliterate our enemies. She is likely intimidated. If the thread wants to turn her, we won't get a better chance anytime soon.

I suppose I have grown to enjoy watching Viserys turn his enemies to his side with his silver tongue. And, I really want to see Tywin's face if we succed, the ultimate victory will be all the more sweeter.

No the greatest victory is winning when they don't even know they were in a fight to begin with.

We have time to find the lady at our leisure, it's not like she's trying to be inconspicuous. At the moment we have just participated in a rather blatant attack of one of their, if not valuable, then at least extremely ancient assets.

Popping in for a quick chat and a cup of tea is only going to get us into a fight not a talk. Now if you want to get into a brawl and kill her then I suggest we just drop another doom on her head while she's not aware we're here, otherwise the smart thing to do is to book it before they can pin this shit on us.

I mean, obviously they will, or will try to, but let's not make it easy for them yeah?
