Is it not sweet to the ear to know how often these things are resolved without any fuss whatsoever?
As far as I'm aware and from my experience with Questing, that basically doesn't happen anywhere else.
Don't get me wrong. I like the consensual style around here a lot, you guys are great. It's just nice to see that I occasionally present a vote complex enough that the results are strongly divided.

I think that part of that is that we have had enough times to get to grips with a few of our medium term goals (read: conquest), and when the general direction for a vote is picked, tone and wording is usually easier to come to a consensual on. At, least that's how I see it

Trechery is more fun).I think that Yrten heard of our inquiries, made quick contact with some fiends through some contacts that he knows, and a deal gets set up, without him having to work with the friends directly. Fiends that would love the opportunity to have an angry YA Red deliver itself to them, set up a deal (pirates send us, and get a small cut), the fiends get our corpse and soul if they're lucky. Then we introduced our friends. Powerful friends. Then the fiends get demolished in in what, 12? 18 seconds?. Yeah. I'd be freaking out. Thinking on it, there may not even be a snake, lol.
@DragonParadox Does Viserys think that Yrten tried to kill us? 'Cuz I do. Unless that was the reinforcements that we had called forward by attacking the military convoy? Which is... less fun.

Second, with Yrten's full crew and the fire-support from his own ship guns things would have looked very different.
In all likelyhood he could have taken the crew with his own and those multiple ballistas with silver bolts and powerful magic.
He would have needed the dragon mostly for the Golems I suspect.
The Captain could have fallen to Melf's Arrow of Slumber or to the Banishment-arrow. THey had some tricks prepared that had a very real chance of defeating that guy.

Considering the fact that the devils were trying to kill him just as hard as you and he was on the deck of the ship it it seems unlikely to have been an ambush he was in on.

.The devil fighting could be "Oh fuckkkk, dragon can teleport and has sixth circle casters and those that he counts as warriors of comparable strength. The weird dragon who went for information over money, who let my deflection on the information bit slide. Hmm, fiends that are calling reinforcements, or weirddd dragon. Who's scarier"

.@All first thing I think we should do as soon as the ship is cleared is to bloodwish a sending to Baella so she doesn't waste her ring. Depending on the snake status (i.e.how long it looks like it will take to sort out), we should maybe send first, even a "warriors either defeated or fled, we're all fine, securing the ship now, see you in a few hours
" will do if clean up looks to be time consuming.

I think Goldfish doesn't even check Lya's page when he does level-ups.
A few things I've noticed. 1) He, and some others, since I know not everyone checks the front page these days, thinks that she has maxed Spellcraft, Arcana, Planes and Religion.
Not the case. In fact for some reason Religion is 1 point higher than should be possible for her current HD. Which means one point needs to go somewhere else, since I noticed Planes is 1 point behind for some reason
Edit: As to the new knowledge skills, that's what we voted for. Because again, it was decided to diversify her knowledge base a bit now that she had some spare points and had maxed the central 'wizard' skills. Only that, y'know, we apparently hadn't, because the sheet is wonky. Many sheets are wonky still.
They need to be audited.
Edit Dos: Also, max ranks in a skill for Lya at this level is 18, not 19. She's level 15, not level 16.

I actually think it is the reverse. In Viserys' internal dialogue, he consistently thinks stuff like "oh, I'm just but a single youthful wyrm out here in the Planes" only to rethink it upon meeting someone with any power or authority who's warily keeping a wide berth around them or speaking to them cautiously, then thinking "oh I guess even the youngest of wyrms cannot be discounted"... and he thinks something like this every time he goes somewhere new out in the Planes. Without fail.
It's sort of highlighting Viserys trying to deflate his own ego and getting his efforts stymied upon realization that these days he's not the discounted boy exile he was not that long ago. Yrten and Siduri and their crew weren't underestimating us or thinking we were just some megalomaniac reptile. Rarely is that actually the case, and DP tries to show only actual "pride before all reason" types actually think shit like that.

The point is less chastising them for something, but to aim at Siduri's heritage.
She is a Tiefling, a human with some Fiend mixed in, in the middle of the PoF. Don't you think she gets called "just a human" and "just a fiend-spawn" often enough?
I'm just a bit annoyed that it's considered a tremendous crime by the thread to even think something bad about dragons or interact with anyone not from high-above. To say nothing about the art of subtly manipulating someone being usually lost on most and immediately loosing when I'm not around to defend the approach.

I imagine we could easily recruit them both and crew when we construct a floating antigravity fortress of Doom. So much loot when we start raiding Brazen Throne assets and whalers on the regular.
Also trade income if we can be the go between between PoF and Shaitans.
Imagine how salty we would be if Vee left for another party, lets do it!
