For me its about staying true to my character, if i was playing my Undead, or a goblin, or a warrior (God bless their hearts, intelligence is their dump stat) i could see myself going along with this.
But my paladin? my druid? it just feels very very forced, no agency at all, just one more nameless pawn doing what we are told.

What pisses me off even more are all of these fucking leaders in the Horde clearly fucking horrified or pissed off or at least disconcerted by Sylvanas going batshit and being all Arthas on us, but going along with it anyway, like what the fuck are they thinking? "Oh it'll get better", "maybe she'll do something less crazy", "maybe she's not wrong, maybe I'm just too weak willed to do what is necessary".

It's like, Jesus Christ, have some integrity. Saurfang isn't the most admirable character in the Horde, but at least he stuck to his guns.

she mass murdered her own soldiers, and then bound them into eternal torture as undead abominations.
To be fair, that's not the worst she's ever done, nor first time she's done that.

She was always a bitch.
She always hated living, caring only for Forsaken... And even them she started to care about only after WotLK, when she's seen what awaits undead in afterlife (bad stuff).
Before that she was just throwing her people at Arthas as meatshields.

She blighted Andoral.
She blighted Gilneas.
She blighted pretty much everything by now :V

And that's okay by me.
Because pretty much up to burning of Teldrassil she was a cold-hearted, but reasonable and logic-driven bitch.
She did everything she did because that was efficient.

Now she's just emotional nervous wreck that doesn't in the slightest look like a millennia-old strategist :/

Tldr: I get why people dislike her now, but I always liked her character for her cold logic and I hope beyond hope that blizz don't break her further.

Isn't her body/atrocity count higher than Arthases now?
Hohoho, no.
Arthas destroyed 2 continents , and single handedly drove the Nerubians and high elves to the brink of extinction, not to mention countless Vrykul, dragons and frost giants.
Sylvanas burned one city and laid siege to another, but other than the battle for the undercity, most of her victims have been Civilians, so she might rank higher on the atrocity scale, Arthas was equal opportunity.
Edit: oh and the Drakkari, but who cares about those guys. Oh yeah, and a good chunk of the human population.

Its the opposite for me, i always disliked her.
But i understood her place in the horde, i just think the rest of the horde going along with her plans makes no sense.
As for the burning, that was her throwing a tantrum, Joffrey style, some people tried to convince me that if you read the books the decision makes sense, but in my opinion, if the outcome is crazy, the thought process does not matter, no matter how complicated or internally coherent, it must be crazy as well.

@das_slash Sylvanas' atrocities seem inflated because of the shitty state Azeroth is already currently in after multiple Burning Legion incursions and all that other shit that went down.

So an entire city getting Exterminatus'd seems pretty far off the deep end compared to Arthas "what's my name again" Menethil, but it's comparatively small bananas.

I won't even be satisfied if her own Horde turns on her eventually. Everyone who follows her deserves this and more than what they get. It's the players who feel like they don't even have a place anymore in their own faction that matter. We're disenfranchised by the company we pay subscription fees to, bro!

That coming pretty much out of nowhere is what breaks my SoD here.
Reading books doesn't help much.
Her initial plan was just that - logical, ruthless, efficient.
Just like usual.

And she would have won.
Had she just killed Malfurion then and there - everything would have been finished in minutes.

So, Blizz had to dumb her thought process down.
Making her Joffrey in the process.
Brrr.

To be fair, the same is relevant for people who do approve of her actions, as they would eventually be shunted off to follow Saurfang's rebellion, or whatever.

If there is anything we can agree on, is that Blizz made a whole lot of shitty decisions with this plot.

I think i may have failed to communicate my opinion on the matter.
Sylvanas is a very small fry compared to Arthas, the amount of people arthas killed, and the atrocites he commited are at least one order of magnitude larger than hers.
Sylvanas: One city destroyed, one city laid siege to, a few towns exterminated, multiple allies betrayed (The Valarjar, The horde army), extreme measures taken agains dissidents (Undead who wanted to reuntie with their families, that Dk guy, koltiras?).
Arthas: Destroyed most of the human population of the northern kingdoms, sacked Dalaran, sacked Quel'thalas and turned the entire High elves population into refugees, culled the city of Stratholme, Destroyed the remains of the Nerubian empire (Ner'zhul began the work), destroyed most of the Drakkari empire, Turned most Vrykul into undead (willingly), murdered a bunch of dragons (all flights) and Frost giants, murdered his own father and sacificed his friend for power (an accident, he got better), turned against his allies and blamed them for his actions, turned his expedition into undead, etc etc.

As for Sylvanas, i just want her deposed as warchief, too many people are in love with her for her to become a raid boss, but hopefully we can kick her ass and get her back in line or something.

Edit: and the thing is, i love arthas, his actions make sense in his context, he is a villain, but he is a damn good villain and got his power because he is just that good.
The sylvanas thing is like if arthas returned and was like "Hey guys, i'm back, I'm human and i'm a king, that puts me in charge of the alliance, right?"
And everyone else was like "yeah, that makes sense"
"So i'm gonna start killing you guys now, and rising you as my slave army, just make a line"
And we were forced to go along with it.

Edit edit: Oh! you were talking about why xzzt... (sorry dude, i can't type your name) said that, reading comprehension fail on my part, it all makes sense now.

Huh. I thought that nowadays Alliance and Horde don't fight each other but instead fight demons or Arthas or Cthulhu or whatever is threat-of-the-week in new expansion. Seems that I'm behind the times.

Take a moment to appreciate the carnage Rina can wreak upon enemies Vulnerable to Cold damage. A Noble Efreeti has 136 HP. If caught in both of Rina's spells, it could succeed on both saving throws and still die. Just failing to resist Cold Ice Strike would kill it, too. A regular Efreeti has 95 HP. Failing to resist even one of Rina's spells means death. I'm sure the cards won't all line up for her to gank them all in a single round, but I'm suddenly very glad we brought her along.

[X] Plan "Let's Get Frosty, Bitches!"
-[X] Dany uses her Sign buff to set her Initiative check to 24, casts an Area Greater Dispel Magic against as many Efreeti as she can fit within the effect, then uses the Blackened Rod to target them with a Quickened Nauseating Breath spell as a Swift Action.
-[X] Rina uses her Sign buff to set her Initiative check to 22, activates her Cloak of Winter's Chill as a Free Action, then:
--[X] She uses Divine Metamagic to cast a Maximized Cold Ice Strike spell (96 Cold damage[14d6 +1d6 via Winter's Chill + 1d6 via Coldstrike], +48 damage vs targets Vulnerable to Cold, DC 27 Reflex save for half damage) as a Swift Action. She aims to strike as many Efreeti with the Line as possible.
---[X] She follows her initial strike by using Divine Metamagic to Maximize a Boreal Wind spell (68 Cold damage[14d4 +1d6 via Winter's Chill + 1d6 via Coldstrike], +34 damage vs targets Vulnerable to Cold, DC 26 Fortitude save to avoid secondary effects of gusting wind) as a Standard Action. She places the 20-foot diameter column of wind so that it strikes as many Efreeti as possible, while if possible preventing some of their fellows from exiting one of the ships' hatches without first enduring the damaging gusts.
-[X] Richard activates his armor's Holy Aura and places himself between Viserys and any Efreeti who approach while he shakes off the effects of Celerity. He murders any enemies that approach.
-[X] Should any enemies survive Rina's opening salvo, Tyene picks the survivor who seems healthiest and targets it with a Quickened Boneshaker (9d6, DC 18 Fortitude save for half damage) spell as a Swift action, followed by Boneshatter (12d6 damage plus Exhaustion, DC 21 Fortitude save for half damage and Fatigue). If the Boneshaker slays her target, she switches to the next healthiest appearing enemy.
-[X] Depending on how the remaining enemies are positioned, Waymar either uses his Lightning Lance (10d6 Electricity + 3d6 impact damage, DC 15 Fortitude save to halve Electricity damage) extraordinary ability to target the two survivors who appear most damaged. If the survivors are arranged so that he can strike two or more with a single attack, he instead casts Whirling Blade while Channeling his Lightning Lance (30d6 Electricity + 9d6 impact damage +Weapon damage, DC 15 Fortitude save to halve Electricity damage) ability to damage as many enemies as possible.

[X] Goldfish

So beautiful.

I don't even mind about the lack of care for getting the sacrifices. Let's just agree to get these bodies straight to the Fungus Forge for some nifty Leshys.

That sure is a funny way of spelling "because blizzard wanted to boost their subcount"
Don't mind me, I've been gone since just before Mists of Pandaria, and I lost my ability to sustain a grudge against the Warchief with Hellscream.

[X] Goldfish
They did a great job with legion (as long as you are able to accept the retconned illidan story, he was still dumb as fuck), for a moment there i thought the story team finally got their shit together.
And then bfa happened.

Edit: ok , Sylvanas was still attacking our allies behind our backs, and doing deal with the old Gods, but thats in character for her.

I know, that's why I'm not pushing for it. I'm currently gunning for their loot rather than their blood sacrifice. I've got a very good feeling about the haul here.
90 tons of Adamantine

Enough to consider it's use in engineering projects. This is what I care about.

Any magic doodads and piles of cash are a distant second to me.

The adamantium is a given, we're not leaving without every last bit of it.

What's inside the ships and on the efreeti, however, can be hopefully be used to grow quite a few Heart Trees.

Besides, it's not like this is a one-or-the-other deal. We can have everything, all it needs is a few extra minutes for secure looting to gather the trinkets and weapons & armor.

@Goldfish, thinking on it further, double thumbs up for killing everything in sight. They might get scared and try to run away if we aren't fast. Just like freaking Mind Flayers in that regard.
