1 is a Premium Skin of an Assasin whose lore came from the film Wanted. 3 and 4 is the eldricht-twisted mad form of an angel made by a very powerful vampire to defend humanity, and therefore their food source.
Amazing how looking for artwork brings different lores I'm interested in into this setting.
For my suggestion, how about this? The weapon is ridiculous, but doesn't she look furious enough?

I don't think it's actually practical for us to retrieve everyone stuck in there, unless there's only like half a dozen at most.
Though of course if it's easy enough to grab a couple other than our mage hireling there's no real reason why we shouldn't, either.

@Goldfish With this in mind what do you want to do? We could easily tie our hireling to our back using strands of silk and then go cut free whoever's still alive. It only really cost us time, but might get us a set of coherent accounts that gives us a bigger picture of what's going on here than perhaps one person who shortchanged the wrong person and has every reason to be cagey.
Edit: Or we could just follow TNE's original plan and just question him and see if it's worth our time.
That might be more efficient.

Edit: Just noticed Argo was slated to be off South on the Third, but these exchanged just as easily could have taken place on the Second, when Viserys just started holding lectures in the Shadow Tower, so I changed it to that date. No discrepancies!

I was about to say that gives freedom from spell effects, but it also makes you auto-succeed on all grapple checks to pin you or escape artist checks needed to escape from being so. Not to mention is out-and-out allows you to violate physics and move freely underwater even if it wouldn't make sense to.

Good catch. We've had the upgraded crown for such a short time, I completely forgot about that.
That was not a grapple or pin nor was is a spell, it was very sticky spider web that Freedom of Movement does not protect against any more than it does being chained up

How is that any different from the effect of "Web" spell, which FoM explicitly protects against? Web is a conjuration (creation) that doesn't allow SR, so the web isn't magical itself.
