Okay, seriously.
It sees a Young Adult Red and thinks "I can play with that".
That means we are talking one or two steps above CR13 at minimum.

And that it didn't hesitate to give its name means there's no plan to flee, so we have no reason to start with Dimensional Anchor.
 
I don't care what happens in this fight -- it gave us its name. One way or another I'm eventually getting a proper trophy out of that thing.

@TotallyNotEvil I'm not sure about what to have Richard and Garin do in this situation. Attack? Hang back? Other?

-[X] Lya cancels her Heightened Awareness spell to gain a +4 bonus to Initiative, then casts Greater Black Tentacles from her Spellstaff so that not only the area the Demon occupies is affected, but our position as well. Potential Damage (4d6+13 + Grappled)
-[X] Waymar uses his Earring to gain True Seeing, then targets the Demon with his Whirling Blade while Channeling a Lightning Lance spell through it. Potential Damage (39d6 + 1d10 + 2d6 + 11)
-[X] Garin uses his Earring to gain True Seeing, then targets the Demon with Dark Bolt, directing all five bolts to attack simultaneously. Potential Damage (10d8 + Daze effect)
-[X] Tyene casts a Quickened Boneshaker spell, then targets the Demon with Chains of Light. Potential Damage (9d6 + Paralysis & Binding)
-[X] Viserys casts Nerveskitter, then uses Maximized, Searing, Agonizing Blinding Fire Breath. Potential Damage (110 + Shaken & Blinded)
-[X] Richard activates his armor's Holy Aura and uses his Earring to gain True Seeing.

I had a half-written plan by the time you posted that.

Garin should Darkbolt, as that forces five distinct saves vz Daze, and Ser Richard and pop Holy Aura, and Waymar should use Whirling Blade so he can channel the Lightning Lance from a distance, as that raises the CL to 16, enough for a third lance, bringing his damage up to 39d6 + the hit.

Also, Maximized breath.

I'm of a mind of seriously fucking it over before moving into melee range, because of that nasty nasty miasma around it.
