If we can use the heart to make a planar rift, we should do it in the noble quarters of the City of Brass. It's not just the Efreeti in that plane. There are also perfectly nice creatures like Baella.
In any case, this is something to poke at Bloodraven for. He'll be able to propose the most devastating course of action.
That would be both hilarious and a massive gamble, holy shit. We'd be hunted relentlessly after that.If we can use the heart to make a planar rift, we should do it in the noble quarters of the City of Brass.
Then watch as the Others have to fight full tilt against a barrage of Wishes being cast at them and the Sultan going on the war-path.
Hmmm... @DragonParadox, if we got particularly powerful devils and demons and thoroughly cursed and warped them until they became the vats for fiendish blood, would that qualify as a source of Evil? I'm thinking a Cornugon for the devils and whatever the equivalent would be for demons. Maybe a Marilith.
By the survivor of that clusterfuck. That would be both hilarious and a massive gamble, holy shit. We'd be hunted relentlessly after that.
As long as we don't hang any children near the leak everything will be fine, right? It would but you would seriously have to watch out for leaking corruption. It would be sort of like a nuclear power plant, only with concentrated malice instead of radiation in case of a reactor breach.
This is pure awesome. Dibs on planning that thing! It would but you would seriously have to watch out for leaking corruption. It would be sort of like a nuclear power plant, only with concentrated malice instead of radiation in case of a reactor breach.
Nice! Jorel is a real boy again. How does this affect Kyla's abilities as a Witch? He was her Familiar, after all.
Few things are more frustrating than having to redo work because a program crashed, or something similar, and you didn't save it beforehand. It mostly happens to me with spreadsheets now, but I've had it happen with a few papers I was writing back in school.
Just don't forget to make one to get hydra-poison.
My immediate reaction is to say "of course we should." We might not know why the spell failed, but we absolutely should know what can cause a spell to fail. when someone takes no damage from a fireball, we know there are a limited number of effects that can cause that to happen, and that then informs our choices in combat. Identify is precisely the same. Maybe there are some things it simply does not work upon, but knowledge of what those are can and absolutely should inform how we go about investigating a magical item.Ok sure but they may only be able to build up a list, there's no reason to assume we have perfect knowledge and if something can for example entirely hide it's aura as far as the ritual is concerned it's a normal item and how would we know otherwise ourselves but through context or assumption like with the staff, it moved and was found with other magic so we know it is but if it had stayed still and was found at a flea market arguably it could just be an eccentric design.
If you want "Ritual didn't work therefore it must be an A, B or C" well I'm not sure we will or should get that.
Making a colossal Blood Golem, of course!Am I almost afraid to ask
What do we need industrial quantities of demon blood for?
Pretty easily worked around, and even in the event of a "disaster" we can sacrifice all the mistakes. @DragonParadox, this isn't doing a very good job of dissuading us.It would but you would seriously have to watch out for leaking corruption. Valyrian Steel.Am I almost afraid to ask

@DragonParadox, would that work? Or do we need to carve up a few Chaotic Good Outsiders for the other stuff?Just don't forget to make one to get hydra-poison.
As and also maybe using Dawnfruit as easily accessible source of Good, make one for Liquid Good?
I believe blood quenching is at its more potent when the still hot sword is plunged directly into the still beating heart of the victim.Pretty easily worked around, and even in the event of a "disaster" we can sacrifice all the mistakes. @DragonParadox, this isn't doing a very good job of dissuading us.
Valyrian Steel.

Fiendish blood is used to quench the steel during forging.
Oh, that's a must. We are not losing out on that poison. For the fungus forge, I would like to suggest milkable Colossal Monstrous Spider poison glands. Preferably with a con higher than 14.

We can substitute with quantity.I believe blood quenching is at its more potent when the still hot sword is plunged directly into the still beating heart of the victim.
