Is it wrong to be giddy with excitement about brokering inter-planar treaties while the rest of our plane is busy squabbling over random stretches of dirt or the parentage of a blond sociopath?

Githzerai will make excellent allies when the time is right. The time is not yet right in my esitmation. Wait until we have immediately actionable Intel for them, at minimum.
War with the Deep ones can wait until after we consolidate Westeros, I hope.

If we can have the Tree of the Dawn Age restored by the time of the meeting, that would be a cool place to have it.

The Godswood in Lys, with the super Heart Tree, would be another.
Eh. DAtree is unlikely to be ready for a few months.

Sothoryos is promising, but I don't actually expect to get a single sacrifice out of there.

And then it's all summoning.

This isn't an adventure. We are drawing the lines in the sand for the order of the planes.

We need politicians there, not random people.
I am not taking random people!
Vyserys has to be there.
Daenerys should come because she's always with us in this kind of event. And having a wyrlling necklace is cool.
I want Lya because this is planar stuff, but she isn't crucial.
I want Richard as a courtesy to him: he's our sworn sword, leaving him out of such negociations seems rude to him.

I want Maelor and Rhaella because this could be a great learning opportunity for them!
Malarys could be nice (legalistic, should help deal with Shaitan).

Vee, Tyene, Waylar, ect are 100% unnecessary.

The Githzerai likely won't be able to move out in the forces needed within moments anyway.
I suspect that the Githzerai moving out would also show up on Illithid divinations.

But if we contact them before the house is on fire we can likely have greater input on their attack plans, or do proper planning with someone high up&divination warded.

In my opinion we should establish contact in a "extreme divination paranoia" approach making as little waves as possible.
But I don't insist on doing it now but it's probably worth a dedicated turn action to setup that trap card ahead of time.

I disagree.

The Githzerai.

Are not.

The Githyanki.

Can you please get this through your head. Their entire culture is not devoted to the eradication of Mind Flayers. As I mentioned further up, they splintered their entire species - one that tore down a multi-planar Illithid empire in less than a year - to specifically not become a species whose entire culture revolved around the destruction of another. I can get the confusion, the races sound similar, but I've already said this once. I shouldn't be having to repeat myself.
It's more about the fact that it has a big chance of inconveniencing us to start the war early when we have other wars planned. Quite a few other wars planned. DP said a good diplomat might convince them to wait, but again, that depends on the rolls. You're focusing on the wrong part of my argument here -- it doesn't matter that the Githzarai don't want eradication of Mind Flayers, what matters is the fact that they'd still need to be convinced to wait until it's convenient for us, and that their default would be to move in force.

If you guys insist then we can call them when we want the wars to start, but that's not now.

Not even slightly.

Being able to pull 'surprise Crusade' as you put it on the Deep Ones would be immensely satisfying. But yeah, we can leave it for now. Knowing they're out there was the most important thing.

I'm far less averse to contacting them a few months before we intend to start the eradication.

Doing so right this second (before we even get our Mind Blank items no less) stands a chance of disrupting quite a few conquest plans.

We will need for Dany to Mindblank us and whoever we have accompanying the meeting.

Still, unless there's a immediate crisis, there's essentially nothing of greater importance than this.

Ask for an order of mindblank items, we'll deliver payment for them in a few days. That way we can get 3 for Brravos too. I'm thinking three for the party maybe?

I am against hosting the meeting on our Plane. But if we do, it should be somewhere beautiful and relatively uninhabited.
Oh, and not in Braavos or North of the Wall. And not in a city - all our cities will look like shitholes to these people.

A thought: who will we bring with us? Vyserys+Lya+Daenerys sounds good, but I would love if Richard+Maelor+Rhaella could also be there...
@DragonParadox what party size would be appropriate for this kind of meeting?

Planeshift to Planetos, greater teleport to shadow tower, antidivination room, everyone wearing mindblank items, including bank lady, sealord and first blade who are there already.

Representatives are of course disguised, transformed, mindblank ect on the way in.

That seems like the best course of action. Though I'd prefer to do that rather sooner than later since the eradication will likely not be according to our schedule.

..and then Dany can bond with a Githerzerai lad about their shared hatred of slavery and have fun shaping reality with their very minds.

Regarding the meeting, I assume as host we'd be responsible for security?
(but I want to do it no matter the answer)

Maybe host it at the revived ancient Weirwood tree?

If we're aiming to revive the weirwood and use that as the site of our meeting, then we need to do a fiend-calling action at the very beginning of next month to gather all the right fuel, starting with the three Thanadaemons who escaped.

Maybe host it at the revived ancient Weirwood tree
Again, that is not guaranteed to be ready in time.
Almost surely, even.

As we'll need ~540HD to make sure the thing gets to be the best that ever was.

Also, we'll need to visit uncle beforehand, to warn him of incoming sea of blood and whether we can move his place under our tree with that sacrifice.

Moving him to us kind of puts him in access to the Seven though and well that kind of magic won't go undetected
True, but it would also get him out of reach of the Others. And if any of the Seven send champions to try to kill Uncle Bloodraven, we'll just turtle them.

Either way, he's going to be consulted on this. If he thinks it's not worth it then we won't do it.

[X] Plan Planar Conference
-[X] Host the conference in a purpose built facility on the island of SD, somewhat away from the actual city.
--[X] Do not bring the two new sets of Megaproject tools into use for the Tyrosh - SD Highway, instead use them to build a meeting facility and two manses to host your guests from Amun Kelisk and the Opaline Vault
--[X] Use your books (see last line of the vote) and ask Embra and House Adjar for input on the designs.
--[X] The main meeting room should incorporate all elements in its construction. Pilars of finely worked, yet natural looking stone, a few tasteful artificial waterfalls, the roof resting on pillars, leaving room for huge windows, decorations in finely carved wood and large braziers illuminating it all. The message here is the unity and balance between the elements.
--[X] The two manses should be opposite each other on a circular road enclosing the meeting facility. Leave enough room that it is obvious that you left space for a Fire and Water manse, to signify your commitment to hopefully host gatherings between all kinds of genies in a brighter future when there is peace between them again. Aim for quality here, but to not try to be too gaudy or ostentationious.
-[X] Invite a few people on your side:
--[X] The Creek-Caliph for Braavos.
--[X] Lady Uraka for the Iron Bank, specifically request her, just in case the higher ups think this above her pay-grade.
--[X] Inform House Adjar ahead of time, so that they might have a chance to attend on the Shaitan side. Being friends with us has a tendency to pay for you.
--[X] Doran Martell as a Lord directly sworn to Viserys. If he aids us here to get everything in order, the planar markets are wide open for him.
--[X] Relath as a Lord directly sworn to Viserys. The same as Doran. Play ball, gain a slice of the cake.
--[X] Bronze Yon as Lord sworn to Viserys and future LP of the Vale. If nothing else, he could spend some time with his daughter.
---[X] If he comes, brief Ysilla to not mention Azema. At all.
--[X] If Zherys has the time to attend and the Divinations to check on his truthfulness after the coup come up green, invite him too. He would be a junior partner in all of this, though Volantis can profit greatly from the deals we strike here.
--[X] Salladhor Saan as a Lord directly sworn to Viserys. Remind him that these are the big leagues, so he should try to tone down his roguish charm.
---[X] Appraise him of the future of his raiding fleet. It is untenable to keep raiding in the Narrow Sea, for pickings are getting slimmer and political developments in the near future may or may not dry up completely. We have two options for him:
----[X] 1. He heads a military campaign to claim the Basilisk Isles for us. He renounces his claim on Port Sorrow or passes it on to another Saan and instead gets the whole Basilisk Isles. The islands are currently poor in anything but slaves and pirates, but we have grand plans for the area and Sothoryos. Furthermore, it puts his ship in reach of Ghiscary shipping lines.
----[X] 2. He strikes a side-deal with the genies and hire himself and his crews to them. They have sky-ships, not sea-ships, but we trust him to none the less have a very productive privateer career against the Efreeti.
--[X] Lords Brune and Velarion, due to being directly sworn to Viserys. While there are not many thinks they could gain from interacting with the genies, they shouldn't be left out and it is a good chance to rub elbows with the other people around.
-[X] Further attendants:
--[X] Malarys as legal aide to Viserys
--[X] Richard as Viserys bodyguard.
--[X] Maelor as Viserys gofer, so that he can learn something.
--[X] The rest of the companions will not be part of the actual meeting, but can freely chat with everyone attending as they please.
--[X] Put Rhealla and Lya in charge of accommodating the guests. Rhealla because she has experience in these things, Lya because she has the planar lore necessary to understand this particular batch.
-[X] Security
--[X] Both the manses and the meeting facility will be warded with Mages Private Sanctum, Teanas Bloodwards and any other wards the Iron Bank can supply.
--[X] Also look into hiring an expert from Amun Kelisk and the Opaline Vault to add their own precautions.
--[X] Run some divination's to make sure there are no interruptions for this meeting. None. Incoming Divinations should clearly show that any attempts to interrupt, let alone attack this meeting will result in a fate worse then the torments of the pit for any who dared it. This includes our old friends the Lannisters. If they try to interrupt this, Casterly Rock will be nothing but a glass stain on a pile of rubble that was once a mountain.
-[X] Expenses
--[X] Cancel the repayment of the loan to the Iron Bank. This here takes precedence.
-[X] Next Action: Buy books as planned. Add a few volumes on Genie culture and architecture.

Preliminary plan. Thoughts?

@Azel, maybe to make it slightly more impressive, have the furniture be carved out of Darkwood?

EDIT: We also have that +10 woodworking tool we could put to use for this.

Building two immense, and immensely expensive, manses for this meeting is ridiculous. Not only is it frivolous, but it's futile as well. We cannot possibly approach the opulence each of the Genie parties will be accustomed to, and trying so hard, while perhaps endearing, will just make us look desperate.

Why not arrange a meeting somewhere that epitomizes the Plane of Balance? I'm sure we can find a spit of land that overlooks the sea, and if sufficient greenery isn't there, we can take steps to remedy that deficiency. A place where the land, meets the sea, watched over by the sky, under a blazing sun, surrounded by growing things.

Sometimes less is more.

EDIT: We can ward the area with Refusal and Forbiddance spells, keyed to passwords we will share with the Genies, covered by additional spells such as Mage's Private Sanctum and False Vision. Dany can use her Half-Celestial template's Hallow SLA to further protect and enhance the meeting place. Each delegation can be provided with their own Lya's Magnificent Mansion spell, with an interior suited directly to their requested specifications.

Doesn't make any sense at all going by the spell description.

The aura surrounds you, the spell effects them, you're problem is you are reading the aura as a vacuum that creates the effect through quasi-physical laws.

It's magic, if it touches them the spell inflicts the nature/concept of the void upon them, similar to a touch attack.

Great plan, @Azel.
"Dear Ladies and Gentlemen of the Iron Bank,

it is with great sorrow that I have to pen this letter, for the Kingdom of Westeros always had a cordial and productive relationship with your house. However, your continued association with the pretender Viserys Targaryen leaves us no other choice but to cut our ties, should you not be willing to cease your association with him. This would mean that the crown would no longer be beholden to any debts owed to your house, due to your support of an enemy of the state.

Sincerely,
Robert Arryn, Hand of the King"

"Dear Robert Arryn,

it is cute that you think your backwater kingdom still matters or that our house cares about the pocket change you owe us.

Sincerely,
the Iron Bank of Braavos"

Arryn: *finishes reading the letter* "Well..."
Robert: "You letter writing privileges are hereby revoked."
Small Council: *nods*
