A lotus leshy might be frustrating to deal with if you're not someone patient who's specifically coming to them to be 'illuminated' on some matter. They're kind of laid-back... supernaturally so.
So basically a Mr. Miyagi type figure.
Good to know. Wanted to give him a heads up, since an artist troupe from SD performing a grand play about the conquest of Tyrosh might raise a few eyebrows. The theater isn't really something that would need the Sealord's approval for, so unless you just want to invite him to the performance you can leave that out.

We've had the idea in the past, but didn't go through with it due to political concerns.
See? This is what I meant with varying levels of subtlety yesterday.Ah... I see you wanted it to be about Tyrosh as opposed to more neutral topics. That would warrant a warning.
Thing is he can easily explain the facts of life to them by pointing out how carrot and stick work in regards to us.The Sealord's perspective on "politics" in-so-far as association is concerned, is that he's not concerned. He welcomes it. Right now, the soft power is something he has handled. We're the big stick. We're the leverage against people saying "this is folly". He points to us, and goes, "No. That's a motherfucking dragon. You best have respect for it."
People can't be sane + argue against a dragonlord having the ability to deliver on his promises... and we're promising him a lot. So his enemies end up looking like fools.
Hm.
I'm kind of glad that there's an anti-fey movement here.
General anti-magic attitude aside, they can be useful.
Shall we take them over from within and use to stop more problematic fey operations, or would that be too contrived/convoluted a plan?
If not uprooting, then taking control of them is necessary still.I 100% oppose any attempt to uproot fey from bravvos. Not worth the efforrt. Fey are natural reflections of a location or people. Some will be shitty, some will be helpful, why do you hate them so, so much?
Digging into that is part of our Silver Eye - Inquisition exchange.@Votecrafters if not too much to ask, can you remember to get permissions to ask the Silver Eye about their mage class progression?
Curious minds are... Curious![]()

a glimpse of the future:he ruefully notes that if his mages are to be believed on the variable and oft unpredictable use of old tomes the trade might be more akin to gambling than aught else.

And once controlling the court, dealing with more problematic parts, before it becomes a positive factor for the region.
And not what Fey usually are.
Ffffuck em, fey.
And why all the hate...
Well, I think it depends very much on every anti-Fey poster here.
But I personally can't stand how chaotic they are, or rather, how tightly bound to their "narrative", which is far more often than not detrimental to lawful beings/institutions/states/concepts/everything.
Honestly, Fey are only slightly better than Outsiders are.
[X] While we could acquire a servant of the Old Gods who could serve as a priest of sorts, it would be very ill suited to attend to legal matters. A clerk or two working with it would be needed and we would have to check in SD for a suitable candidate.
-[X] If that's okay for him, make a Druidic, Advanced Lotus Leshy fir the task.

The Old Gods are training after all and regular treants won't cut it against the Others.
