The UH and LH not having an solid invisible barrier that needs a blowtorch to destroy 25 years from now due to working at different levels and developing an us vs them social chasm.
Greater stability for later changes.
Less time over the 25 years desperately dealing with our internal politics.
More gradual change let us focus on stat build up with less pushing from internal issues.
We potentially don't heavily wreck our land through the turtle path.
That's all I got.
Counterpoints
Citation needed on 'greater stability'. I'd argue that increased representation leaves us less susceptible to revolutionary pressures, and therefore more stable overall.
We can't currently focus on stat buildup due to being hamstrung by lack of PW. I'd love to be able to start pushing for things like espionage upgrades and education in the main turns, but we're always superseded by other issues, and lack the PW to do other things bar sort out the fires that appear every turn and minimal industrialisation. Moving to a constitutional monarchy, (which has worked wonderfully for the Sketch and Kielmyr I might add, as well as the British in OTL) directly mitigates this problem and allows us to grow at a faster pace.
Increased representation of the people and the various factions, and improving their ability to create laws actually alleviates many of the internal issues that we've been facing. Allowing the factions to have lawmaking abilities decreases our reliance on constitutional conventions to push through needed reforms.
Putting the brakes on our growth to not pollute will get Nokly exiled at best, as per AN. We can manage this pollution and avoid wrecking our lands like the sketch have, but a certain amount is unavoidable in the age of industry, and all factions will be pushing for it, requiring heavy PW investment to stop, which is untenable in Absolutism.
Us not having out Economy fall apart and personally being the reason why our allies economies also didn't fall apart despite the economic downturn being ???!!!
Your reply is completely irrelevant to what I was asking. That had nothing to do with the UH and LH both being at minor lawmaking. Think before you write.
Well if you want to play with a handicap you don't have to have a modern democracy, but autocracies are straight up less efficient than democracies in this system.
