@Azel why only the ruling family? We dont need to take everything, but something like getting rid of the top 20% most problematic families might be a good idea.
We have no idea who the troublesome nobles are. It's either only the former ruler or a flat defiance tax on all nobles.

The latter might fix the Rango issue, though I'm pretty certain that we will see a sell-sword company marching on us soon anyway. Still a pity. I had great hopes to see Therys nobility turned into an example.

@Azel Do we want to spend the time interrogating the lawmen? Verifying their trustworthiness and allegiance.

Edit: Scratch that, I would absolutely like to wring all the info we can out of the captains. I bet they know who is straitlaced and who has been up to no good. For juicy black mail naturally.

...

Hm... maybe we could borrow some of Yss clerics for circle of truth?

[X] [Therys] Confiscate the estate of the ruling family and place an administrator in charge.
// sadly, our chance to make an example has passed, but that's no reason to trust the next moron any more then his predecessor

[X] [Recruitment] A bit of everything:
-[X] Let Malarys pick a few from SD to act as trainers. Who and how many is entirely up to his judgement.
-[X] Take in some of the grunts from the former city-guard. The officers are too likely connected to magisters to be trustworthy.
-[X] Take some of the former Fiery Hand andTrios Guards.
-[X] Bolster the numbers by formally letting theLegion take over the Lawmen duties until further notice. Make sure that trustworthy Legionofficers are in charge of the eclectic bunch.
-[X] Offer employment to all the sell-swords inthe city. Steady pay and a more or less calm jobin the Lawmen or steady pay and a more exitingfuture in the Legion. Make no special offer to tempt them, since the Legions performance should speak for itself.

[X] [Other Cleanup] Various Bits And Pieces:
-[X] Check in with Salladhor about the state ofthe harbor. Resuming trade, capturing errandTyroshi ships and dividing the captured vessels to put them to productive use has priority.
-[X] Walk the city incognito to hear the word onthe streets. Also pass by the former slave market, just to make sure that 'former' bit is accurate.
-[X] Let the Legion gather up all the slave collars that are no longer needed. That iron will makefine swords and armor for future Legionaries.

The city was supposed to be 100,000 people. Not sure how many are in the Disputed Lands, though.
Basically i want to know how good does It look as a reward for our ulderling.
Depending on how far away from the borders its located, we could start working on It and have It ready in a couple years.

But we need to know now, as getting rid of a sizeable portion of the current nobility and placing a competent administrator as a regent for now will decide how much of a reward It will become

We can safely delegate that part to Malarys. I would rather spend some time in our shiny new city then doing recruitment all day, especially when we have somebody tasked with that.

Then ask the administrator to keep an eye on It, we can remove any family that causes too much trouble.
Basically, they are all on probation for now.

@DragonParadox what does Therys look like? Is It pretty? By the ocean? Nice colored rooftops and flowers lining each window?
Edit: and how large is its portion of the disputed lands?

It's by the sea of Myrth, the architecture is flat-roofed and mostly sandstone though the locals use bright colored paints and they cultivate flowering ivy when they can afford them. The city stands with its back to hills that hold orchards and grape-vines. The population is roughly 50K.

So...
Am I reading stuff wrong, or Viserys had recovered his spells?

Then it's time to dungeon-dwell the shit out of Tyrosh' catacombs.
We still haven't gotten Champion's Daemonic lore-book and everything else of worth there is in dungeons.

@DragonParadox, did we get the skull of the leader of cultists that was killed by Danny and Lya?

Oh, and what about xp for legioners and mages and other PCs?

Sounds like a beautiful place, just make It clear the administrator is a temporal position and we intend to gift the city to one of our allies (with the administrator likely remaining there anyway).

An administrator is per definition temporary.

Personally, I would have preferred to give Uthero something on the southern or western shores, so that he has an easier time to profit from the passing trade there.

[X] Azel

I wonder if Utherro would like Therys?
Exactly what i had in mind, and if he doesnt i believe we have a line of people waiting for a city by the sea.
@Azel tell the administrator our plans. Make the city beautiful, get rid of annoying nobles, prepare the succession.
Mostly after the city is secured of course, but knowing our long term plans might affect his early decisions.

Well, Its not like we have a long history of doing this, just wanted to make sure.
As for the city, everyone wants a city or keep by the sea, so we need to start prospecting for those.
I believe the current list are Uthero, Maelor and Theon.

@DragonParadox, Also, we did get the Champion's scull, right?

@all, @Azel, please, let's set up another session of domination/lore-writing-down with Rohan.
We have nothing to hurry towards, he's got no-one to bail him out, and we'd get some, at least some motherfucking lore written down straight from the source.

I'm very, very salty we didn't yet had any prisoner of ours dictate stuff to a pendragon while we're doing important stuff.

I mean, seriously, we don't even need screentime for this!

This asshole will go to being fertiliser in a day or two, let's get something good out of him while we can!

*egoo is filled with salt and determination*

@Azel, pretty please?

Thank you.
I mean, it's not even he's that much of a great source of lore. Level 10-12 cleric is okay, but not great in any way.
But I've been waiting far, far too long to have this sort of thing done.
At the very least, I want to see if the concept works and can be applied to more knowledgeable enemies down the line.

Another thing I'm a bit excited for is ransacking all magisters in Tyrosh, though some more than others.
You mentioned that you planned something on the matter, do you mind sharing just what's the plan is going to be?
These assholes are bound to have magical trinkets/lore in spades, if of minor quality.
That, and personal libraries of rich self-centered motherfuckers tend to have rare/valuable books/maps.

Aaaand there is also the matter of Archon's palace having what amounts to, what, 200-400 thousand gold worth in useless but shiny shit?
When exactly are we going to tear it down and make the place a wee bit more practical?
And how much?
I'm pretty sure that even 50k gold worth of shiny shit is beyond any point of practicality.

I enjoyed the domestic scene with Viserys and Lya. The recent interlude, too - it's always interesting to see Viserys through someone else's eyes.

The Trios religion twist was very well executed. To the point that I think it would've worked as the culmination of a longer arc, rather than just one of many tasks Viserys is handling post-Tyrosh.

I wish we'd see Viserys hang out in dragon form more. It's supposed to be his other natural form, not just something he brings out for specific purposes (combat and intimidation). Though I'd settle for descriptions calling more attention to it when it's in use.

Come to think of it magical abilities could use more meaty descriptions in general. They're often brief enough that I only know what's going on due to spells being hyperlinked or included in the winning plan.
