Ah, you seem to have misread my intention. It's to go "Good idea" and then use his flimsy justification to beggar him, and then ask "Does anyone else have any good ideas, or are they happy with my plan?'

Edit: :ninja:

And I really should go to sleep.

No I get it, I actually put forward the idea here
Is this guy on purpose retarded or does he want us to do a true accounting of GDP generated vs cost to household per slave and have them foot the more detailed bill.

It's just more fun to continue to be falsely jovial and offer it as a service.

There's no need to use it as a flimsy justification, the real numbers will beggar him easily enough.

I'm mainly confused about how the satellite cities think they could possibly get away with it.

We just conquered a Free City in a day. We are a dragon, and we have another dragon. We slew fiends in the streets.

And these idiots think that jumping ship to another Free City will save them a bit of coin as well as save them from us?

Let them break away. This is natural selection, and it would be a crime to save those people. We need an excuse to get rid of the morons.
Yeah let them try to turn coat, that just give us the opportunity to invade and confiscate everything from them, unlike the Tyroshi they would be traitors, and we probably have enough administrators in Tyrosh, that we can replace them, so if they turn coat it's an excellent opportunity to execute all adults, and leave the children paupers, as we confiscate the family fortune.

I'm genuinely confused how he thinks it's a valid argument, nobody runs equipment at a loss so you're either lying (death sentence) or incompetent (how I wish it was a death sentence).

[X] Diomedon

Reiterate and if he pipes up again, arrest the idiot.

Neither. He's asking for compensation for the slavers while trying to make it seem less like you are actually buying the slaves and freeing them, which he feels might be a faux pas. He does not really have much experience with people who are against slavery in principle

Heh.
Told you knowledge (economics) is a great thing to have!
Viserys probably can do these in his head easy as pie.

[X] Azel

Poor Salladhor Saan, It was never meant to be. Perhaps one day old man, the amount of idiots in our court is unlikely to decrease for a few years anyway.

Damn it, I forgot why we decided we hate Zone of Truth and got rid of it for Tyene. Never mind, this idea is discarded. For what it's worth, the general plan was to establish a Permanency effect with Zone of Truth so that the higher-level casters wouldn't have to be present. We wouldn't have been relying on the low-level casters.

Freaking Zone of Truth. -_- It's like the creators of D&D taunted us with the perfect low-level interrogation spell... except missing a crucial piece.
Maybe we can modify It a bit? Have the tree glow a bit when spell fails, might cost us a spell slot on the tree, but should be worth It for a dedicated interrogation tree.

@DragonParadox

How many of these satellite-town with reasonable size and amount of controlled lands are there?
We could propably personally go by several a day, staying long enough to make an impression.

Accidentally retarded it is.

It doesn't matter how he's asking for it, he just tried to counter offer a receivable with a payable.

You haggle degrees, not direction.

Seriously can we double their payment each time they backtalk. And when they finally stop backtalking they seem like children.

Might need to modify Relath's plan slightly for the scale we are operating at and our higher standards above "obedience".

Once failure to obey costs the House money.

Twice and the Heir is taken Hostage.

Trice and the Head of House is physically reminded of his flammability.

Hostage becomes Head of House, Heir is taken Hostage. Repeat.

Well, Diomedon is a asleep and Azel is a german on Father's Day, so he might already be out drinking.
I guess that means Goldfish's vote will pass this time?

Oh, I thought he was fishing for our plans for Lys and Myr.

[x] Maintain your stance, magisters offer a small payment for every slave that leaves their service (vassal cities very likely to change allegiance)
-[X] To ease his obviously deep concerns over this issue, Fatmouth Magister will be granted a true accounting of the costs, profits, foregone wages for freemen of their position, training and experience etc.
Appropriately compensating he and his house for the true value of their investment of money and administration.
This is to be made a point of, employ the use of our many Dragonpens and appropriate magic to have this accomplished in excruciating detail and utmost speed.
--[X] Fatmouth Magister's Audit will be made available and inter-House trade will ensure they can corroborate numerous data points in our report with their own records.

Yes, yeeees~ let's make them afraid by power of bureaucracy!

"Last night, your city fell to me, my friends and my army. One night. A few weeks ago, we removed a danger of Lys falling into the sea. That is the scale we work on. But your words have moved me, I will personally see to your Audit in this matter." smile
