We need to privatize as much as possible. Why? Because a depression is coming and when it hits us right after a round of massive privatizations, we can blame the privatizations for it. This will ingrain into the people a dislike for privatization, making it harder for the Liberals to push for it in the future and easier for us to renationalize things.

Are we really sure we can keep the land and sea theaters properly waged and fed? It's additional attention split on an existing difficult task.

Since Black Sheep is going to be a thing again. Here's the wars we fought so far.

I'm quite leery on the Crown Corp sales since @Academia Nut is being cagey on the numbers and what is getting sold off but we need the Temp SoL for the turn. We sold 3/13 Corps last turn and an unknown amount now. I'm firmly opposed to any more sales because we need to keep our strategic industries under state control (this amounts to 7-8 corps atm)

Can't have it. Not yours. Nationalism means territory acquisition is very messy and The People have bigger fish to fry.

The update mentions nationalists as a major west Kus faction.

So no, they aren't going to be jumping into our arms if they rebel.

And BS right now are more valuable to us than just half them.

Seriously, we lose far more from a divided BS than we gain.

I can see us maybe getting away with the northern coast of the salt sea (which is useful in and of itself) especially if we compensate the BS for it. But the Not!iranian plateau and Paki/Afghanistan's are not worth trying to occupy.

Would it maybe be possible to arrange for a more autonomous Central Asia still under Black Sheep suzerainty? Basically the dualism of Austria-Hungary with hopefully less ethnic tensions? I can't see us productively resolving this without the BS getting some constitutionalism in their diet.

I agree, actually. Well, they can always go the Austria-Hungary way, preferably with a bit more success.
 
Maybe the Black Sheep can reform into a more federal structure.
They're gonna need it in any case, what with that massive chunk of Kus they just swallowed.
