2 days here and a day talking with alinor and a day talking with Tanea and. Well, that could be one day. Viserys could spend the fourth day wandering SD, doing nothing important.

[X] 2 Days: Stay with the khalasar, learn more about the Dothraki and how their ways can be softened and made more productive.
-[X] 1 Day Talk with alinor regarding the state of the beauracry, thoughs on hiring clerks from Brravos via IB/Fairwind/Uthero, more dragonpens? Then Taena regarding the scholarium
[X] 1 Day: Nothing of importance, except spending time with someone to hang out. Or go for a walk. A relaxed one, enthusiasum somewhat curbed ;)

@Duesal, why just Istaheqs? Lets get Misayyahs, Zefaheens, Tuanus, and some Nightmares too.
Their powers combine, summon the Captain Planet Horse Great Stallion!

To be fair riding bare chested does have one advantage, less chance of infection since fibers can't get in the wounds. That said it is certainly not a good trade-off for the protective qualities of armor.
Hence raw silk. Arrows get stuck in that, the fibers don't fray much and the silk is much less harmful when embedded in the wound then plant fibers. The fabric stops the arrows well enough that you can even easily pop an arrow that penetrate out of the wound without risk of breaking off the tip.

It's far better then any other kind of cloth armor for harassment cavalry.

As I understood it, the Misayyah failed to impress the experienced D&D players (we were offered one as our bribe to let Aberi into Prime Material), so we ended up taking the Dawn Fruit instead. As for the others, eh. Maybe. But the Istaheq is just going to be easier for us to get thanks to our new Shaitan contacts.

Also, @Azel, I've got to give this one last shot. Isn't there merit in seeing the Gorgon trained by Vee instead of throwing away nearly two weeks of time poking at the Petrified Weirwood? It's a study action, probably a tiered study action. I fully expect the reward for that to be "great, now you know what you should be researching and have to spend another action on that". Can't we just train the war beast to be actually used so we have the option for Tyrosh?

[X] Return to Sorcerer's Deep, where you will use a Greater Ribbon of Disguise to enter the Academy under an assumed identity, Corlys Hill, as a prospective mage.

We could have the younger ones line up and see if they can make Ser Richard so much as blink?
The funny thing is, as Richard pointed out, due to the level disparity, even our half-BAB progression means that we can outfight pretty much anyone in the Khalazar with a blade. If I recall correctly, even Rhango has just 3/4-BAB progression, which means he is at BAB +6/+1 while Viserys has +7/+2.

We can just whip out Dark Sister and show everyone who is boss around here, without even tapping into our arsenal of fiery doom.

I think that comment was describing Rhango's ability to work a crowd, though you are still correct about the BAB numbers.

In accordance with trying to make magic less mystical.

-[X] Return to sorcerers deep, and and create various small sculpture gardens throughout the city. These gardens contain displays using permanent image and small openable soundproof pots that provide narration in various languages.
-[X] A garden for describing the common mindless undead.
-[X] A garden for general fey and other magical pests.
-[X] A garden for Illithids.
-[X] A garden explaining some of our laws.
-[X] Send word to Vee to set aside her upcoming study of the Petrified Weirwood and instead focus that time on training Irony the Gorgon to be used in war
-[X] Task the dragonpens with writing the first Monster Manual (name pendind)
-proposed[] A garden explaining the common ways of acquiring magic.
(I don't want to do the big "illusionary sculpture of the planes" ..yet, since it's a larger expense and no seemed excited about it)

In terms of aesthetics I am thinking here of greek column garden style where instead of statues we have illusions people can touch ...and smell.

.. permanent image, the magical powerpoint ;p, or if something feels unwise/missing...

Rhango edges you out in sword fighting... just. Masterwork weapon (+1) and weapon specialization (+1) Weapon Finesse, Dex (+2)

That hasn't changed. I would have preferred that we vaporized all of them way back when. Now that we've got them, that doesn't mean I want to spend any extra time around them.

Rhango is doing a good enough job on his own, IMO.

Literally any use for Viserys' time would be better than staying with them. Writing a book, going undercover in the Academy, spending time with Lya, traveling around Westeros in a massive continent-spanning pub crawl, etc...
They paid their taxes/tribute without complaint, killed devil beasts, and remembered to loot those devil beasts bones, meaning they now have adamantite weapons, I would say recruiting them are paying off.

And we haven't yet seen, how much more we can get out of them trading, I'm sure they have interests in buying various minor magic items, so that's yet another revenue stream from them, I must say I'm feeling good about recruiting them at the moment.

@DragonParadox
1) Would training with Dothraki allow for our basic light cavalry to have something other than Warrior for their levels? At least beyond the first?
2) Wouldn't Dornish horses be ideal for the dothraki? I.e., light warhorses to the Reach's heavy?

We need to grab more genie-horses to speed up the process and help Rhango really get things going.

@DragonParadox how long would it take to return to the Opaline Vault and look at beast pits again? Or maybe contacting Xor to grab a few for us?

I thought he referred to the "splitting a bulls head with a single strike"-thing.

I don't think there can be any contest with Viserys in regards to working a crowd. It was noted that he has gotten good enough to become a scam-artist in Dis.

  1. Maybe, depending on how long they train. 'From childhood' would be preferable from this perspective.
  2. Just about, though of course actual Dothraki hoses or those of other steppe cultures like the Jogos Nhai would be better.

We'll have to comission a Ring of Tongues for Rhango. So that he can talk to his new horse, and also to the recruits he's going to be training. Most of them are going to be Westerosi, and he barely speaks Low Valyrian.

I agree on having Vee train the Gorgon. DP even confirmed that it would get the Warbeast template, that not only makes it more powerful overall, but that it increases the DC of its breath ability by +1

I just give up at this point. It's clear we're going to be ignored on this. Vee's going to throw most of this month away at the tree.

To borrow an idea from an awesome light novel, have the city's main public fountain work as a "projector screen" as well. It already has the area to accomodate crowds.

@DragonParadox

Fabricate should I hope allow us to make Rhango basically unlimited Serpentstongue Arrows of Flight as it's just mundane shaping.

Can we also work in a auditory effect to kickstart their reputation, a small slit that makes a whistle or moan as it flies through the air should be quite effective for intimidation.

@Thread are there other mundane enhancements that can be made to ammunition?

I will back you up on training the Gorgon, a warbeast Gorgon would have so many uses, regularly bringing it in smoky confinement, would allow us to take things such as swarms as sacrifices.
