This vote should be good.
Wolf pup and message running are the most important; note that the tally splits the count for the latter for some reason so it's easy to miss half the votes for it. It's still way behind, though, and we need more support from the dwarfholds badly.
We have no runepriests at all, nor any human priests unless the knightly orders are hiding some, meaning that the wizards are the only counterspellers/dispellers we have. We also have very little artillery, while skaven are quite into heavy weapons (if unstable ones that often explode). We really, really do not want to be in the position of losing artillery duels with warp lightning cannons. Both of these problems are most easily solved by additional dwarven aid- and might not be possible to solve otherwise.
If people vote to be in charge of the wizards and want to talk to them instead of the Stirlanders that's fine, I guess; it would be a morale boost to see the men of Stirland either way (and, I think, a fun scene to get a good look at what they think of us showing up) but knowing one's subordinates is important. I implore those voting for it, however, to leave one of the wizard options aside in favor of making sure that the pup and running happen. We can get to know the journeymen while we move, but we can't call for extra support and we can't extend the timeline we have available for building our familiar bond to get Magic 7.
