Meh, it doesn't say anything if 10HD creatures are more competent than regular mortals.
Even our friendly Lich here was undoubtedly more competent than most people in all the areas he focussed on.

But this time was special. This time he actively manhandled the sacrifices with us and got his hands dirty. He's come a long way.I think we got that with the first tree. And am more certain than not with the second. He was at Westhaven too, and the Ithilid is obviously nothing to worry about sacrificing.
He may not be a proper caster, but he has good knowledge and CL available. He's great for rituals.
Not to mention having fun with her constant poison immunity.

Mmm, it's deliberately so to put her at ease. Something very scary just happened, but we're focusing on how we've inconvenienced her and here have some money. See, everything is fine, we're just focusing on mundane, concrete things.
Preventing her from panicking and running away is paramount, because then she'll be informing people of who knows what to who knows who.
