Damn. Now that's just too good. I'm sure there will be some justifiable reason to insert it into a high-tier construct, but that makes producing Arcanums just a little bit (but appreciably) cheaper on top of constructs!

Can we make some more Arcanums next turn? At least two!

Crafting is really tight as it is. I think more arcanums are waiting on Lya leveling up anyway, but it makes more sense to do after Tyrosh (which we are rapidly approaching).

The guy stole Lya's notes and now she gets to profit from his work, even if she didn't get to actually save the whole ritual for herself.

Irony can truly be delicious.

@DragonParadox, can you tell us about the non-standard loot we got from the Hezrou?

10. Apprentice Wizard 4 -- unknown
11. Apprentice Wizard 5 -- unknown
12. Apprentice Wizard 6 -- unknown

2 Iron Golem Archers (with control tokens)

2 Wizard Spellbooks (spell level 0 to 3)
2 Wizard Spellbooks (spell level 0 to 4)

Returning to the vote at hand, we have a few options here. We mind controlled 7 men, so it's pretty much between it getting out with damage control (i.e. we talk to Mudd) or we make sure to hang those seven men as part of our cull. Mudd at the very least directly commanded a demon. That has the benefit of eliminating all rumors of us mind controlling people at the source.

So it's either talk to Mudd (it was either that or killing you. Which would you have preferred?) or sequester him and then silence him, hopefully without Lya or Waymar noticing what we're doing...but it seems there wasn't much deep worship of Tiamat or terrible crimes against humanity, so we wont have a lot of cover there.

Out of curiosity, do you play in other campaigns and stuff?

I'm mostly just wondering where your terminal loot addiction came from :V

Mudd seems to be a bit more closely tied with Illyrio than the others. It's too soon to say for sure, but it's probably too risky to leave him alive. He's still Dominated. We might as well have him tell us everything of value and decide from there.

There's Azel's quest which started a few months ago, but that's pretty much it.

Damage control should be "We had to temporarily mind control you as an alternative to torturing you for information, followed by a clean, quick death. Aren't we merciful?"

That's just the thing. We're not backed into a corner. Nothing is forcing us to end the Domination. We can interrogate Mudd at our leisure, find out exactly what he's been up to with Illyrio, and then decide if we feel like explaining our actions or if we just want him dead.

I'm greatly preferring to tie up the loose end. We can keep his skull if we have any questions at a later date.

He can tell us a laundry list of his crimes. That is true, and would make Viserys feel less bad about hanging him. So we'll want to talk to him separately, milk him for information on Illyrio, then about the other officers, then about his own crimes, and finally ask him, after he has coughed up all the info, the most compelling reason he can think of for why we shouldn't hang him for his crimes.

If he has an very, very compelling reason, or amazingly never done anything worth hanging a man for, we might spare him. Maybe.

The other six men that we merely charmed. What should we do about them?

[X] Take the man aside and speak with him personally
-[X] Do not end his Domination, you want answers quickly and truthfully
-[X] Another check for Quasits listening in
-[X] Have him tell you everything he knows of Illyrio, Tiamat, the wizards, and the various things they've been up to and all the schemes he knows of
-[X] Ask about other hidden bases and where the rest of the Golden Company is, aside from the war in the far east they're currently fighting
--[X] Ask about all other ruins they've poked around and what they've found therein
---[X] Have him tell you what their goal was in Sallosh, what has been found so far, and where the treasures have gone
-[X] Aside from the six wizard apprentices you know of, ask what other mages there are among Illyrio's forces, and what monsters Tiamat has seen fit to provide like the Abishai sorcerers you faced today
-[X] Ask about the Blackfyre and the sword Blackfyre
--[X] Ask about dragon eggs
--[X] Ask if dragons have been successfully hatched or not
-[X] Have him confess everything that has been done in dealing with fiends and undead and any other major crimes he has committed in his time as a sellsword.
--[X] Have him confess the crimes the other officers have committed as well.
--[X] Have him tell us which officers are privy to information he doesn't know and what that information might be
-[X] In general anything that could conceivably be important information should be spilled here and now
-[X] After everything is said and done, decide what to do with Mudd

Well, if he is a mudd he has Royal Blood, and thus potential for .. a lot really.
If not, i believe we could use a court jester.

@Duesal

I'd modify -[] Have him confess everything that has been done in dealing with fiends and undead to:
-[] Have him confess everything that has been done in dealing with fiends and undead and any other major crimes he has committed in his time as a sellsword.

And I'd add a bit about questioning about the crimes and dealing of the other officers that are present.

If he's guilty of too many things we can just keep him prisoner via Smoky Confinement and ask Bloodraven if he's actually a Mudd or not. Otherwise we can just kill him.
