Alright. Well, would he be amenable to waiting? We've got an excuse to go see the Djinn princess in her home soonish to collect the resurrection scroll, we could just promise he'll get a griffin when we go there.
Well... Never mind. My proposal just went down by a lot. And we're talking about Glyra who once tossed out Iron Marks because they weren't "as shiny".
400 glassteel scepters is as high as I'd go here in that case. 400 IM randomly taken out from time to time won't hurt all that much.

That's not really a problem, she rarely wants to buy stuff, and she's leveling up so she's getting more and more valuable, what is a decent reward to give her now, will be a pittance in a few years, which is the least time it will be before she's likely to get to somewhere she want to buy stuff.
Glyra only want money because this place is extremely interesting, and she's not allowed to steal anything, how often are we going to take her to places, where she's both not allowed to steal from the corrupt, and where there's things she has a desire great enough to do something as boring as buy them.

@DragonParadox, since we have had IC thoughts of getting griffins before, can we point out that we have way better mounts lined up for Waymar if he's just a little patient about it? We're not going to find the kind of griffin we wanted for him down here, and he shouldn't be collecting substandard mounts and tossing them out when we come across better ones.
Edit: Frankly, he doesn't need the mount right this second. His family will be impressed by his power and his magic items.

You can make the argument sure, though keep in mind a 'substandard mount' could just be handed down.
