I want to take everyone. It's our first proper planar city. *squee

I do kind of worry that Glyra can't keep it in her pants for providing "teachable moments" or having to free a slave for Waymar.

[X] Bring the kids.

He would hold reservations about the slavery, but a protracted conversation would leave him... dissatisfied. Not at them, but that there's very little he can say about what better alternatives there might be in their specific situation.

We're all about providing incentives to not commit crimes, or else freeing slaves to benefit from those same incentives. The pressures upon Shaitan society are constant and only so well maintained because they are also constantly flipping assets around forcefully from objectively crueler and worse masters.

With that said:

[X] Bring all of them.

I mean if their schedule is free I don't see a reason to deny them a field trip.

Added bonus if some shit goes down we get some more firepower in the mix, just in case.

Hope for the best and plan for the worst and all that.

[X] Bring all of them.

If there is no downside there is no reason to keep them away.

[X] Bring all of them.

Besides, first real proper look at an other worldly city without having to worry as much about locals.

Before we actually enter the city, I would place... Waymar in charge of playing catherder of Maelor and Glyra. Dany, despite being chaotic, seems mostly concerned with keeping her brother out of trouble, proving the L/C dynamic can be subverted subtly.

Those two are kind of troublemakers by professional means, though.

I don't suppose we could leave Dany in SD and bring Tyene? Or bring Tyene, too? The whole reason I wanted her to go on this trip, which was successfully voted for, IIRC, was to get enough XP to reach 12th level.

If she had been with us, I think she would have gotten enough XP from the last two encounters to have reached 12th, @DragonParadox.

What was her schedule and would it have to be rearranged somewhat to account for it?

The three joining us are either trying to fit in what they were scheduled to do with this trip, or taking personal days into account for it. Tyene needs a little me time, given all the devils and demons after her jock all the time.

Sure you can bring her, but that will be coming out of her proper work days (though including the ones she should have already done so you only need to shake loose three more for the trip and however many more you want to stay in the city).

[x] explain to waymar that starfish are echinoderms, and we honestly dont understand how he could make such a mistake

Glyra and Maelor in the most lawful city this side of Axis?
Hell yeah.

We had better tell them to be on there best damned behavior. We've probably made an enemy of the Efreet by saving the Shaitan, but it was worth it in my opinion to gain the Shaitan as allies and trading partners, as well as opening the Opaline Vault up to us as a new extraplanar market.

I'm not willing to go to war, or even start a fight, if either one of them does something stupid and ends up enslaved.

If this is free time for her we can take her on the next adventure instead.

According the the schedule, Tyene hasn't actually had any work days so far, as she was slated to come with us on this trip.

Since the Plane of Air visit isn't happening on this turn, it should be a simple matter to shift all of her days allotted to that over so she can join in.

Speaking of, this changes the schedule quite a bit. Gonna poke at it some to see about getting everything back on track.

[X] Bring Waymar, Glyra, Maelor, and Tyene.
-[X] Express exactly how important the Shaitan are as allies, and what the implications of having opposed the Brazen Throne in saving them are.
-[X] Explain what we know of their laws to everyone and that they should be very careful to not run afoul of them, since the consequences might be dire.
-[X] Gather what trade goods we have on hand which the Shaitan may find interesting, as well as whatever wealth we may need to purchase a great deal of crafting materials for Lya and Leila.

Do we have trade goods available that we could take with us on the return trip? I mean, if we are there we could also visit the market before plane-shifting back home.

-[X] Express exactly how important the Shaitan are as allies, and what we sacrificed in saving them. Explain what we know of their laws to everyone and make it crystal clear that they are to be on their best behavior. If they can't manage that, they should stay in Sorcerer's Deep, because we aren't going to start another war to save them if they do something stupid and end up enslaved.
Glyra's understanding of these words: "Here you'll have to work without safety-net, so pulling tricks is going to be a difficult and fun challenge."

@Goldfish, thats a bit patronising and heavy handed.

Okay, makes sense. I've removed that part of my plan and added yours.
