Oh damn, no Teleport, no Treestride regardless of sacrifices and too many for Windwalk.
We actually have to bring 18 people +party through the whole North by foot?

Is there any chance at all that we could go to the nearest location of an Other-servant on the map and sacrifice it for a better option?

Its up to the gods but it seems unlikely. You are better off casting phantom steed multiple times.

Kindof want to send somekind of honorguard to aid Brynden now that 17 CotF leave...

Hm, perhaps we should give him a dragonegg to hatch too?

Once we are past Castle Black, we should have enough Teleports to ferry everyone. Worst case we take Vee and Lya to help.

Can each Steed carry two Children?
Are the Children resistant to the weather enough that Dany doesn't have to affact them all with Endure Elements?
Can we guess from the map how long the trip to the Wall will take if we fly with the Steeds?
Or how long if we ride them on the ground?

Is it even remotly possible to go ahead and clear out all threats along a planned path while the vulnerable loot and mother wait with Brynden?

  1. Sure, I already allowed two small people per steed on the Mantarys trip so there's no reason to go back on that now
  2. Yes they are used to the weather
  3. The trip will take about 2-3 days on the ground 1-1.5 days flying
  4. It should help, but that that would involve persuading Rhaella to stay back with Blodraven in his creepy hollow hill lair

We could always build construct torpedos and cruise missiles. Just load them with True Wildfyre and crash them into the targets.

In that case I'd propose to take out our best Diplomacy and convince mom that staying with the unnerving but friendly guy is much better than being attacked by White Dragons (or other Other-servants) on the flight.

We've got a god of Rebirth in our (... his) temple that we nursed back from oblivion. So much for 'inevitable twilight' and 'fading away'.

Friendly... I mean Viserys and Dany can read him like that given their experiences, but to most people the rasping whisper, the laughs like a death rattle and the smile like a gash through withered flesh do not come off the same way.

Couldnt Brynden cast a glamour on his... lichy appearance?

Edit: Have Richard stay behind, cue Viserys and Daenerys perishing some ways from the wall by surpriae Tiamat plot. Playerbase now forced to play as Rhaella, her only companions available being the CotF, Brynden, and Richard. The latter whom dutifully does the last wish of his king, and wards, protecting the trueborn Targaryen queen while she awaken to magic at the feet of Bloodraven.

I meant Friendly in the "won't try to kill or capture her" way.

Better a Lich treating you as a guest than a Wight trying to rip your throat out.

We have to skip talking to the Giants or Castle Black for this. 18 CotF are no joke. We have to get them to SD Asap.

He would need veil because of the way he is bound up in the tree and he does not have that spell because he never saw the use of it. Mostly he appears to people in dreams where he can look like whatever he pleases.
Major Image should be good, since he doesn't move anyway.

No point in skipping Castle Black, we have to pass the Wall anyway, so going through it costs no additional time or effort.

Dany could prepare up to three Wind Walk spells, but that would only be enough for 12 people.

Best to use Phantom Steeds, though we will need 13 of them.

We can create eight if we use all of Viserys' 3rd level spell slots, then use four 2nd level slots to create two more, and then three 4th level slots for the final three.

Just have Viserys teleport over to SD and have Vee, and Lya help move them. Then Vis, Dan, Rich can swing back go the Giants. Rhaella can stay with uncle Aemon so as to not be left with strangers. Perhaps a few party members who have time to spare could watch over them until we are back too.

I think we're maybe overthinking this. If we go low, we'll avoid encounters, or at least avoid dangerous encounters, so that's the route we'll probably use. Which will take 2 days and some change. Which would leave four days by the time we arrive at Castle Black. This trip is basically mandatory if we want to visit Aemon, and even if we skip Aemon we'll have to fly over it and then move far enough away from it to get out of the interdiction zone.

But four days is enough to diplomance the giants.

So the plan is roughly this, for efficiency:

1) Bring Mother back to life.
2) Spend time on the immediate reunion, answering questions, etc.
3) Overland route with phantom steeds.
4) Arrive at Castle Black. Spend a couple days there with family/copying texts from the library after securing good relations with LC Mormont.
5) Leave Dany with Aemon and Mother, take Richard to the Fist of the First Men to diplomance some giants during the last two days of our earmarked time in the North.
6) Return slightly ahead of schedule to SD leveraging copious use of party teleportation.
7) Bust open a fine vintage of wine, because things are going suspiciously well, and this may be the last chance we get to pat ourselves on the back for a while.

Friendly reminder how the Other has wind as their domain. Perhaps not wind based spells, I think flying Shadow Steads are pushing it as is...

Only Web Shelter is a cleric spell and it does not feel very Tiamat-like so unfortunately no. She cannot dream-cast spells she does not know of.

Fair enough.

Okay, ya'll, we need Dany to swap out one of her prepared 5th level spells for Greater Stone Shape and another 1st level spell for an extra Endure Elements before we leave Bloodraven's basement. I'm thinking Revivify for the 5th level spell and Blessed Aim for the 1st?

Even at best possible speed, we will need to spend at least one night in the wilderness. The CotF can probably take care of themselves, though I wouldn't want to chance it, but Viserys' mother is going to be vulnerable and out of her element in an extreme way. Camping on the ground north of the Wall of all places will be just one more hardship she needn't face if at all possible.

When the time comes to find shelter for the evening, we can locate a rock outcropping in a somewhat defensible position and Dany can use Greater Stone Shape to create a nice little mini-fort. We can even tell the Brothers of the Nightwatch about it so they can use it in the future.
