I guess that's the first on a long, long list of things she, and every other noble in Westeros who plans to ahve a future for himself and his house, will have to get used to.

@Duesal
Westeros-info is at least somewhat familar ground for Rhaella, let her be here and see how she reacts.
I don't think it'll matter what Bloodraven says, she's still going to be fucking terrified. I have zero desire to put her through that for too long.

@DragonParadox, can you include the request for druids in the next update? And also for a Child or two to come with us?

I wanted to put her in a room and Talk to her when not asking questions (which i assume its most of the day), but apparently bloodraven is scary enough that the Frozen wastes of the true north will be better for her recovery.

Sadly enough, this is true. Being frozen half-to-death would be less traumatic than being forced to see Bloodraven for too long.

Mmm. @DragonParadox I was thinking she could look around and see the children of the forest, but that would require her to leave her 10 year old daughter alone with The Bloodraven.

I have a hard time imagining her being willing to do that

lollll. Bloodraven's leaving semi-diplomatic routes open to us!

Best Uncle!

Also, @DragonParadox um, I can't stop wanting to see this, but.. shortly before we ask for Bloodraven to ask Rhaella, can we, thank him for his lore, give him a long list of questions written by Lya, ask him if he wouldn't mind writing any answers he's comfortable writing down while we talk to Rhaella for a day before leaving with her and some children of the forest .
That way she'll have something to formulate further questions from.

And then give him the copy of the longer list of questions Lya generally has about... Everything, and ask him to, in his free minutes (does he even get those?) maybe fill in the bits that he can for when Lya finds the time to visit herself?

Also, @all, I got the impression Bloodraven might appreciate us asking for his counsel. I mean, straight up say that our methodologies differ greatly, but even if we disagree, his perspective would be incredibly valuable.

Show him than he's more than a font of old lore to us, or an Old God wrangler, but also one who's perspective is valuable ('cuz it super is), even though we will probably not do as he suggestes (we won't do what he suggest, but damn if that man won't catch some of our mistakes before we make them).

@Everyone 'tired of all this talking' ... are you guys for real? This was the whole point in coming here in person besides ressing Rhaella.

Edit: Feels like the same narrative thinking as 'Lets commit to Tiamat because I cant be bothered to wait for Viserys be raised.'

That also made me sad. I mean, yeah, the exposition is heavy, but this is all crazy relevent. And we're nearly through!

Since Rhaella is going to be freaked out by Bloodraven, I say all questions first.

Vote! Vote for answers for the prevention of salt!

I mean, that's how we get stuff like legandary maps!

The important thing is that once Rhaella is resurrected then she immediately becomes Viserys' most important priority to the exclusion of all else, and DP told me in PM that asking for druids is one thing, but if we want Children to come with us we have to take the option to talk with them. So, this last set of questions, diplomancing Children, then getting Rhaella back. We are not missing our opportunity for Children.

I would really want Rhaella to see some of the things Viserys is usually doing, like talking to Fey to recruit them, or gathering information about his Westerosi enemies.

That's as harmless an entrance to our time and world as we can make it while still conveying a bit of what it means.
It will take much longer for her to actually understand these changes if she doesn't get a bit of time with the Fey and the Tree-Lich for a start.

It's far from the deepest water we could throw her in for a start.;)

You're already getting that wish, we're going to be going south to diplomance giants, presumable in the company of Children of the Forest whom we've already diplomanced. She'll see us in action first-hand. :)

Wait, we are really doing that?
Why would we want Giants, the ASOIAF version is pretty stupid and only used to the North.
It's to get a head start on diplomancing them. We swing by the Fist of the First Men, speak with them as a whole, make some kind of agreement with them, then speak with the Night's Watch about letting them through the Wall. They will make fantastic soldiers against the Others, so this is a prime opportunity we shouldn't miss.

A Bard and a young lordling against a true Cleric? They must have had a lot of luck or very good planning.
With Bloodravens hand in the game likely both.
A decently built mounted knight can easily one-shot a mid-high level cleric.

Casters are strong, but they are far from unbeatable by mundanes.

And the advantages of being a lord is that you don't have a single good knight, you have dozens at hand, plus armsmen, to throw at it.

  • [X] Ask more questions
-[X] Waymar Royce's younger sister, Ysilla Royce, has in her eagerness to reunite with her exiled brother and her ignorance of the danger, bargained away a favor to one of the clansmen who then took that as payment in exchange for passing a message to us through the Heart Trees. Since the message came through the Heart Trees, you've no doubt that Bloodraven is aware of the situation in some fashion. Bring up the subject and make it clear that if Bloodraven's pawn uses her favor over Ysilla to force her into an unacceptable situation you will not tolerate it, and neither will Waymar.
-[X] Fish for information that Bloodraven has been gathering on the various supernatural going-ons in Westeros. He told us that his vision is clouded in Essos where the "Ifequevron" dwell (see if he'll tell us anything more about them), but that should not be the case for Westeros itself. This is our chance to learn of current events in a way that completely surpasses mere rumor and hearsay. (this is fishing for rumors, it's fine if those are passed over now but included in the promised rumor post later)
-[X] Bloodraven might not be able to see in Essos due to there being no Heart Trees that have grown there in an age, but he can see in Westeros. What great secrets and important does he know that he can share with us? Just as Ned Stark has the secret of Jon Snow not being his bastard son, but in truth being his nephew, what secrets are there in Westeros that would bring the Seven Kingdoms to its knees? What of Houses Lannister and Baratheon?
-[X] Ask if there is any truth to the legend of the Baratheons being descended from the Storm God through Elenie Stormborn's marriage to Durran Godsgrief. How might such a bloodline manifest? Has it manifested anywhere among the Baratheons or their bastards?
-[X] Tell us how to train druids. Better yet, help us do it. For example, we've two young girls--Reva and Liset--who can already hear the voices of the Old Gods. Could you train them as druids?

Also, if anything, the first magical experiences Rhalla should have should come from our companions. Then we go to harmless fey (no, not ego-sucking Calpinas), then Glyra, then Xor in human form.
