Yep. I was just highlighting the fact that Guy's name is public if you look.
That's how he knows it.
I'm surprised that an Englishman cum Apokoliptian would have opinions about particular US states he's barely visited.
"If you bend over with a 'kick me' sign on your backside, don't be surprised when I apply the boot."
Benn meaning to ask, how do you feel about typos in other people's omakes? Should I just skip them?
Been. Also, no. If they're in the Story Only thread despite my obvious hatred for omakes, they might as well be spelled properly.
How does Apokoliptian armor compare to Nth Metal, btw? Or is that in the SpaceBattles threads somewhere? If so, I'll get to it eventually.
Though it provides less protection at all but the strongest metaphysique levels, Apokoliptian armour is superior in every other way. Including the fact that the Seven Devils can't yoink control of it at will.
Thank you, corrected.
From page 16:

"I gain no useful nutrition from ingestion but I am able to taste."

She then goes on to discuss her new sense of taste, comparing with Human senses and mentioning her experiments with toast.

If it were a matter of possible damage, Paul would have worded his statement quite differently here. He wouldn't have said "Pretty sure I remember giving you chemical analysis systems. You should be able to taste." Yet he can't have just forgotten the party, either, because he mentions it a few paragraphs later.
He's trying to feel her out.
No, I added a comma.

Since I don't think that you have actually written any interludes or such, the way you described it being a plot point seemed odd, becuase from Paul's perspective (a well informed comic book reader, who just happens to be the perspective character), would probably consider it a solved to resolvable problem.
And he does consider it thus. And he finds it upsetting. And he's trying to do something about it without descending into supervillain methodologies (no spiking the world's drinking water supplies with the Danner Formula for instance).

The SI will not be building Star Fleet vessels, due to the different physical laws.
Nah, it's not about how the starfleet vessels work, as much as it's how they look. Design aesthetics and deck layouts are easily utilised with other propulsion technologies that fit these different physical laws.

What's Pauls favourite fictional starship type?

i..err...know ive rambled about John's never-born brother a lot, but he's..well....... potentially more of a threat than the light in the long term- the individual members had meaningful goals whilst literally all HE wants to do is fuck the entire universe, and everyone in it over as much as physically possible simply because he isn't in charge...

he's caused an impressive amount of damage as it is,and given the extra potential ommph John has at the moment, there's a distressing chance of him stepping up his game simply because john may be capable of breaking the curse/ destroying the little shit if he has a chance to focus.
....plus, Paul's made a lot of focus in giving non-irredeemable villain's chance to go legit/live a constructive life- i feel Constantine's earned a chance at the same given the unholy SHITSTORM he's lived though without snapping himself...

*edit* goddammit, now im using all-caps for emphasis everywhere when i HAVE slept

Violation of Rule 1 - Linking to copyrighted materials is actually illegal.
Found it again.

#27 (ZATANNA)

"A Symphony of Shadows"

Secret Origins
That's a description of the original plot, which was heavily revised before publication. The actual comic contains no mention of Doctor Mist intending to sleep with Zatana, nor of him involving himself with his own descendants to the degree you implied. Here's a link [NOPE - STRYPGIA] to the comic in question. Arak is not mentioned or shown anywhere in the comic, interestingly.

And I agree with you. However, Paul hasn't read anything about Golden Boy, so he can't plan for him, and Golden Boy hides himself. So it's not possible to be found unless or until he reveals himself to the world.

Purplish Golden God of Balance.

And this is probably what has me interested/Concerned about Constantine. Because Sure, Balance sounds awesome, and couldn't possibly be terrible. Then you meet something like FFXIV's Sophia. A Goddess of Balance. And long story short....yeeeeeeeeah that's a bad thing. For those interested
A long time ago, there was a family made up of a father, mother and daughter that lived on the southern continent of Meracydia. Sadly, the father was killed in battle during the war between the Meracydians and the invading Allagan forces. The mother received her husband's tattered uniform but was wrought with grief over his death.

There was a sudden change with the mother from this point forward and she became very violent towards her daughter. The daughter suffered through this, when finally her prayers for help reached the ears of the Goddess.

The Goddess spoke to her and told her that balance has been lost with the death of your father. You need to restore this delicate balance in life. If you want to restore balance you'll need to... kill your mother.

Of course, once she did that, the Goddess told her that her life was still unbalanced. The Goddess suggested that to restore the equilibrium she should kill herself.

Despite Sophia being all about balance and equilibrium, she sounds kind of extreme, no? Koji did mention that Sophia herself is neither good nor bad, and instead places balance above all else. If there's too much evil in the world, then she may act benevolent to tip the balance towards good. But, if there's too much good in the world...then she may act against it as well.

So... yeah. Constantine's current situation concerns me, greatly.

Starfleet vessels look like they do due to the fact that sticking their nacelles out to the side improves their warp dynamics. That makes them faster at the cost of making them more vulnerable. Without that to factor in, there isn't any reason to build them like that.
What's Pauls favourite fictional starship type?
I don't really have one.

The Defiant was able to reach Warp 9.5 without sticking out nacelles. Though, its warp drive was massive for its body. The Dakota, Stargazer, Vanguard, Avenger and Emissary classes all have designs where they stick out, without looking stupid as hell.

None? But, there are so many pretty ones, and ones with great interiors. That's like, not having a favourite type of tea.

Balance between Law and Chaos is not the same as balance between Good and Evil. Maintaining the former is fine. Maintaining the latter is just Evil wearing a flimsy disguise.

The being of massive power would disagree with your trite oversimplification of the situation. It's not "Balance Between Good and Evil." It's Balance. Chaos and Order would fall into the same purview and end in the same way, to them.

Baron Winter, whose job is to maintain the balance between good and evil, would probably want a word with you, but he's probably too busy enjoying his timeshare in the Garden of Eden.

Boy, that's REALLY going to bite everyone in the ass eventually.
Constantine is currently the bearer of two Mantles of Power, from a Lord of Order AND a Lord of Chaos.
If an unquiet ghost is still lurking around him, he finally has the knowledge and power to notice it's presence, pin it down and either lay it to rest or do very unpleasant things to it, THEN lay it to rest.

Shouldn't really be an issue.

If they take away from good, to move the counter towards evil, then that's evil. Baron Winter was never particularly decent.
But the presence of evil provides an opportunity for further good. What good is charity if no one has need? What good is trust if no one lies? Where is freedom if you are not free to do something besides the objective optimum at all times?

Even if you disagree with the metaphysical necessity of evil, there's still a practical necessity of maintaining a balance of evil. Without exposure to evil, you lose knowledge of evil. Without knowledge of evil, you become naive. When the people are naive, then evil can strike unresisted.
