I am filled with an immense amount of schadenfreude remembering that whatever the fuck is happening comes from a plan titled "Slow and Steady".

First please spoiler people don't want to be spoiled even by the fairly begin statement you made
Second: Taking command of a foreign Karak in a war situation looks really really bad and he isn't dumb. He likely will move his own throng to help but taking command of Belegar's throng sets a terrible terrible precedent.
He could back Mathilde's orders by glaring and grumbling hard at anyone's reluctance to follow it

Honestly I think an idea situation would be for the fighting to spill out onto the surface in one giant brawl that would be sitting ducks for the Artillery, Airpower and Fully operational death mountain.

2. its for where they went after defeating mors handily due to crit; west is skryre (and dragon) in zilfin, east is us (both above-karagril, and below karag lhune), and south is into under-caldera for mors
If they really did krump Mors completely, and then headed for Skryre who is already in a bad way...

This might mean that the only Skaven clan untouched by the clusterfuck is going to be... Eshin. Which means we need to hit and wipe out Eshin, or else they're going to be the last Skaven standing! : V

Well okay it's probably not quite as dire as all that. I doubt the Red Fang Orcs wiped out Mors -- because Mors is under the Caldera, too, not just Karagril. So Mors would be left with Caldera, parts-of-under-Citadel, plus whatever territory they manage to take from the other Skaven and Goblins.

Skryre might be in a very bad position.

Eshin... might be too distant to feel the full force of the blow? Unless Skryre jumped on them immediately, blaming them for the chaos.

Either way, I hope we aren't left with the Assassin Faction left. Especially with the Assassins being on the other side of Karak Eight Peaks. meaning sneaky, stealthy, skulky types can get all the way across but armies can't. A situation that is advantageous to Eshin, because they can send stealthy murder-bands, and Dwarfs can't hit back very well.

Then again, what we might end up with is Skryre gone, and Eshin and Mors left. Then if we can get Mors to take out Eshin...

... But then, if Mors had managed to profit a lot from Skryre, in this one, and they then profited from defeating Eshin too? They might be hard to defeat once that time comes. Then again, if they were to take losses from Orcs and Goblins and Dwarfs all the while... maybe we could pull off some sort of double-KO scheme, where Eshin and Mors essentially take each other out.

... Hm. Going by the "3 is peace, 2 is war" thing... Eshin would only have 1 major front and 1 major foe -- Mors. Whereas Mors would be surrounded by Orcs and Dwarfs. So, Eshin would be predisposed to attack Mors, because they wouldn't have anybody else to threaten them in a triangle of power. Whereas Mors would be rather in danger. Hm. I'm liking the thought of that, if that happens. Mors and Eshin fighting.

Well... ... could this turn into a sudden mini-turn of a turn, perhaps? (Or maybe that'd be what the vote comes down to. Whether we make it into one, or not.)

"We really should use this turn to visit Karaz A Karak, let's take Dreng and Gotri too, its just 1 week, whats the worst that could happen?"
'Let's go in and out a twenty minutes adventure'
*Three days later
Mathilde and Belegar collapse into chairs.

Mathilde :'Let's go slow and steady'
Ranald: 'Well yes but actually no !'

Belegar leaves his house to go do something and comes back to find his cat sitting on top of a pile of rat corpses surging out of the basement that are also on fire and glowing green.

"Well, there's the wizard"
"Nonsense, that's why we voted to safely tuck her away in her tower this turn, i'm guessing interrogating that Skaven is going to take her a few turns so she is not a concern"

If War Turn dice decides to play along with all this nonsense Random Event dice decided to throw at us, Belegar might just come to fully taken K8P and an awfully vulnerable Karak Drahz. :V
I'm still leaning towards 'the roll for who is here was in part to determine if there *is* a war turn'. It doesn't seem like any of the other factions are attacking dwarven positions, unless i'm interpreting things very badly. So i dont think mathilde either would or to be honest *could* order K8P's forces on a purely offensive venture. Its one thing to take charge if the karak is under attack, its another to make the command decision to take advantage of the chaos and conquer another peak or two, you know?

You know, it's a shame we're already building a temple to Ranald this turn, because now we can't do that in thanks for this utter clusterfuck of a turn.

One thing I would like to point out, we have been having our skaven prisoner translate these documents. That includes the smut, so he might think we just decided to give him something fun to translate.
Qrech: "So do you have the entire Eshin Clan on your payroll getting you these, or...?"
*Seriously the Ducklings stats feel vastly overinflated for journeymanlings of their age. Gretel's in particular is just suspiciously high. If we hadn't hung out with her so much I'd be suspecting a planted Shysh magister hiding their magic score. As it is she just seems to be an overachiever.
The average Journeyman probably doesn't decide to travel to a five-pronged war zone to hang out with radical dwarves under the captainship of the Dammerlichtreiter.

Actually, wait, we still haven't seen Skryre roll. Either they're not in the Roller, or they just hadn't yet.

That, or the 9 also covers their military response to all the Orcs suddenly on top of them.

Mathilde Weber is in fact two skaven standing on each other shoulders !

This is like a total noob beginning DMC on Dante must Die mode ! They will have a skewed perception of danger and their capabilities by the end.

No you see, this is Ranalds way of thanking us for building him a snazzy temple, which means we need to build him a new one to thank him, he thanks us again, and soon he can laugh at Sigmar for having more temples than him

Well, there's also the slim possibility that "Karak Drazh goes West" means that the Orcs decided they were tired of trying to push through Mors' killzone and marched, overland, on the West Gate. In which case they would be hitting Eshin from behind, for even more cluster-fuckery.

Dramatis Personae updated again. Anyone see whats new there?

Edit: The Caracter Sheet also updated aparwntly.

Ranald must be awfully pleased by our shenanigans:
Ranald:'I dream about her against last night. You know that dream where they come flying through the window ?'

Allow me to post silly what-if stuff in peace, without seriously considering what would it take to make it actually happen, please. :V

That said, while retaking K8P while Belebro is not home is more along the "Wouldn't it be cool if we roll Nat 100 ten times in a row?" and should be considered accordingly, I am not sure the read on Mathilde's Autoritah is entirely correct... But considering the update is just next door I'll refrain from arguments.
