FTFY.Imagine a tinkertech detonator that instead of the stereotypical countdown just shows "Not yet... Not yet... Not Yet... NOW!" <KABOOM!>
Fucking Tinkers.

I'd point out that even in a worst case scenario, she either nearly got killed having spotted the bomb with enough time for the emergency services personnel to get into cover, or because she used the forcefield that provides a not insignificant chunk of her brute rating to shield the emergency services personnel. She'll probably lose some respect with Brandish with this. She didn't mention it was a black hole bomb when she left, so when GG tells her Mom that she left after a bomb nearly killed her, she'll think she was just an overconfident brute.
While I agree with your general sentiment that Brandish won't think much worse of her for this, Taylor described herself as Alexandria, but with a ranged forcefield instead of flight.because she used the forcefield that provides a not insignificant chunk of her brute rating
One thing to bear in mind is that, based on what we see in canon Worm, Parahumans generally do not handle it well when their power backfires. Thinkers get headaches, Tinkers start taking apart whatever is around them to build a solution, and so on.While I agree with your general sentiment that Brandish won't think much worse of her for this, Taylor described herself as Alexandria, but with a ranged forcefield instead of flight.
From that description you would not assume someone to actually need that forcefield for protection.
She's not a parahuman though. These points don't necessarily apply to her.One thing to bear in mind is that, based on what we see in canon Worm, Parahumans generally do not handle it well when their power backfires. Relentless apparently just had her force-fields interact with something very dangerous. And then the "something very dangerous" just went poof. Relentless doesn't know what happened and from her perspective her power just backfired.
With that in mind, Relentless being thrown and vague does make sense.
We're talking about how external observers will perceive it, though. She's not a parahuman though. These points don't necessarily apply to her.
Except nobody else beyond Danny and us knows that, Danny isn't telling, and we're behind the Fourth Wall. She's not a parahuman though. These points don't necessarily apply to her.
I'm mostly quibbling over the "forcefield that provides a not insignificant chunk of her brute rating", because while they're nice, anyone described as Alexandria would by definition be a powerful brute anyway. With that in mind, Relentless being thrown and vague does make sense.
And Relentless is a powerful Brute. She shrugs off a lot of damage. She's super strong. And just being a Brute doesn't make you immune to everything. Brutes can be injured or killed when another Parahuman power trumps their ability.I'm mostly quibbling over the "forcefield that provides a not insignificant chunk of her brute rating", because while they're nice, anyone described as Alexandria would by definition be a powerful brute anyway.

Right, forgot about that.
Yeah, unless someone has posted a different one out there.
They use Thananonium based reactor. Thanatonium itself can decay into Bosons.Well its a little irrelevant though, since Taylor is powered by Space Magic. Does anyone know if it was ever mentioned what sort of power plant Fog ships use?
Gravitons, more specifically – "boson" is more of a generic catch-all term, when it comes to fundamental particles. They use Thananonium based reactor. Thanatonium itself can decay into Bosons.
Does not really matter, since it is tecnnobabble anyways. Photons would make way more sense, if it is used for power generation.Gravitons, more specifically – "boson" is more of a generic catch-all term, when it comes to fundamental particles.

"Screw you, Physics! If I wanted your help I would have asked first!"
i have a question ensouSynapse is something I'm actually trying to finish before I post, considering it's meant to be a short story <50k.
